Greg is a self-taught survivalist from Canal Flats, British Colombia, who, since he was a boy, has read nearly every book on the topic. When he is not out in the wilderness, he is a professional dry-waller. He started his first bow drill fire when he was thirteen and spent the next forty years learning bushcraft and studying plants and edibles. He has even developed some of his own survival techniques and is a skilled hunter with both a bow and a slingshot.

It's ok about the lighter Greg you don't lose any bushcraft points for it. They make lighters for a reason and we all have seen you start a fire numerous ways.
He is so sweet
A true outdoorsman always has a lighter on them
And you find bic lighters that stopped working because they ran out of fluid and were discarded. They sit in a puddle and the rain and mud and then scorching heat for weeks. You pick it up and it lights first try and the next 12-15 times you use it. Bic brand for the win.
He flat out said everyone should carry a lighter so I know he's not being a hypocrite

I have also heard the first nations people used to take the Mullen leaves and stuff their moccasins with them in the winter months for insulation.

Greg you're such a good person, the world would be a better place if there were more people out there like you, you risked hyperthermia to try and get a fire lit for the benefit of those people just in case they needed it, what else is there to say besides nicely done man.
