In case of ETS2, not necessarily a reliable indicator of performamce because sunvisors can be modified by the player. This is more apparent in FH Tuning Pack parts for FH3 and FH4. Look at the three digit number badge on the side instead.

max speed of those trucks are fh 6 155 fh 4 148 fh 5 not even then 140 i do speed runs from long times in ets 2 and i always stick with volvo and this is my test you guys can try yourself
One little detail I didn't like about the FH6 is that it doesn't show the gear we're in when using the "analog" speedometer. Maybe I'll use more the FH5 because of that, and also gears 10 and 12 appear as 1 (will probably be fixed)
Can i ask for a comparison between FH4 and FH5? It's very hard to distinguish which one's which visually other than the more... Slashed type of headlights on FH5
Someone in the forums mentioned this: It fits to Aero because FH5 "hi sound bank" is recorded D13K TC, while "low sound bank" is ordinary D13K... Someone in SCS just probably accidentally swap S-Way engine bank files with Volvo... So it seems a developer issue..
Don’t worry, the sounds will get fixed. Definitely not the first time the new truck(s) had the wrong or same sounds as another. I remember when the Western Star 49 had that terrible International engine sound and no customization at all day 1.
I love ETS2 and ATS. Unfortunately, sound is the biggest weakness in all trucks. I can't imagine the game without Max2712 and Zeemods. SCS has unlimited possibilities and they can't even do 10% of what these two guys can.
@@klanndener Are there any good sound comparisons for SCS vs real trucks? But ultimately you can have the best equipment and samples, but at the end it will come down to the sound designer and what they think is right. Which is why every racing sim also sounds different.

Company's profit directly depends from fuel prices, as result for transporting regular cargos on regular roads no reason to buy truck 700-780 hp. Such power need only when mountainous terrain and heavy cargo (>25t). For regular cargos engine 400-500hp will enogh

On smooth roads there will be practically no noticeable difference in time, but it will be noticeable in fuel consumption. Real life not ETS, even if you deliver cargo 2-3 hours earlier, I don’t think that you will be unloaded before the appointed time🙂

@@SirWolf2018 Any real driver can say that biggest fuel consumption is when you start moving. So, in traffic jams 780hp with load will have very big fuel overspending. And it's a very big mistake if you think that in you have less driving hours through traffic jams. As driver in real life I can 100% say that in traffic jams you tired too fast.
Don't really know why they made the different dashboards, i mean it's cool that they did but irl it's just software that gets updated at every service if there's a new one. My FM5 built in late 2021 has gone thru like atleast 4 different versions of the dashboard, of which the first was the best imo but now it looks exactly like the "fh6" which also is not a name that exist irl
@MoppyBoy look closely both FH5 and FH6 without Aero bumper logos... They're quite different: the FH5 have the same logo as the old FH4, while the FH6 no-Aero have the FH6 Aero logo
By the way it looks and sounds I prefer the classic Volvo. On the new ones I like the interiors , the cameras and obviously the horse power. Can't wait to test if I can reach 200 km/h. So far my highest speed without mods is about 185 km/h.😅
@Achanta0 depends on the truck and gearbox. I always buy the 12 speed gearboxes with the lowest gear ratios as they are the fastest. I've gone over 180 with Volvos FH3 and FH4 and with Scanias in this configuration. Some other trucks will not reach these speeds no matter of the gearbox , for example the Actros MP4 will reach only ~145. I haven't had time to try the FH5 and 6 to top speed yet.

For me it feels like the new trucks are super slow on changing gears which the video kind of proves and I'm hella confused on that, they seem to have changed to some weird gear ratios
@clubvillain im not asking that. It being new in game doesnt make it new in real life therefore it should be in used market place. Unless volvo keeps selling the fh5. Idk.

Double check your settings to be sure the speed limiter is turned off. If you're doing World of Trucks (external) contracts, they are all limited to 90.
Is it just me who doesn't like the dashboard on both the FH5 and FH6... it shows you very little information about the truck, I'm waiting on the realistic dashboard mods as well as a realistic dashboard for the s-way aswell.
SCS truck sounds like shit as always, maybe a riot? how much salary can you pay the sound team, because after their work, people immediately go to install sounds mods
I just tried the FH6 for 1 trip and the handling is not great when we hit over 100 KM/H. Yes, I know that it's not ideal to drive any truck with that speed. But compared to the other trucks in the game, this truck is not stable.
Trucks aren‘t designed to hit those kind of speeds anyway. I always leave the limiter om, I like realism. Only times when a truck IRL can exceed 90 km/h is when going downhill.

It's also relevant when running with realistic economy mode. S-way is the least thirsty truck so far. It takes 35-40 liters per 100km, while the others need at least 45+
one thing I don't really like about the FH6 is that it doesn't support the tuning pack
so I will probably stick with the FH5

i think it's probably because the parts don't fit like the FH5, not similar cabs.

Fh5 has torque rpm lower than fh4 . Is better
It's mainly because the Aero have smaller differential ratio in their transmissions.

FH5 got new digital dashboard in 2020, and then this year cam mirror and Aero bumper.

Yeah, I feel the same. SCS often post sound recording with a lot of equipement and the sound is bad when compared with Zeemods ou Kapitan Kriechbaum.
