Wow I so needed this video! My husband has been studying the Torah and said we need to stop eating shrimp and seafood. Now we had stopped eating pork years ago and I have absolutely no desire to ever eat that disgusting food again. But when he said to stop eating seafood I got angry! I researched scriptures high and low trying to find a way to keep eating it, but my conscience wouldn't allow it. One day I read a commentary (because I was still struggling and literally had shrimp in the freezer) that reminded people of what happened to Eve when she was disobedient and deceived into eating off of the very tree that God had warned them about. That was it, that was all I needed to completely stop and the desire is gone. I don't want to suffer the consequences of being disobedient!

I remember when pork was advertised as “the other white meat” and I believed it. I need to make some changes.

Research intermittent fasting.....and consult a good holistic doctor. It's a great lifestyle, you fast for 14-16 hours or longer, and eat within an 8 hour window. It's a life and game changer.

Thank you for providing a biblical perspective & teaching on food & health. I can only afford to buy 2 of your books right now..which 2 would you recomnend for me. I am 77, just had recurrent melanoma surgery (not doing immunotheraphy etc), am 80% plant based (some yogurt & feta/parm cheese), struggle with lymphodema from lymphnodes biopsie removal. Yes...I have a vast library of plant based nutritional books, biblical eating, herbs, oils, etc. But something is still not right. Appreciate your recommendation and will order them. Many blessings to you. ❤

Yes, when I was brand new in Christ, I found a church to go to .when they did the fellowship after the service, I was shocked and very sad. Nobody wanted to talk about Christ. It was all about the food . I prayed hard about it. The Holy Spirit led me away from the church and now I keep his Sabbath and fellowship online. I love it. I love learning about who he is. and I love learning about his food and herbs that he has given us to keep us healthy and to heal us🙌🏻 I love all my brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray we all find the truth.🙏 and keep the fire burning❤

Annette, I have even more respect for your guidance and G-d given knowledge. I appreciate that you have the strength to say straight up the verse was altered after it was written. I follow Messianic Rabbis and try to dig a little keeper each time I make time for their anointed teachings and will look more into this scripture. You are speaking from Holy Spirit. We have to bring in the old as our go to precept to the New Testament. That is what the new does, sprinkled with the old otherwise it would not be valid. Messiah Yeshua came to fulfill the old. The New Testament writers were guided to do so. I am pondering making the transition back into ED at this new over 50 stage. Yes returning again as you say. This was very inspirational to my mind, body and in my spirit. Thank you for sharing with your new friend who has a kind spirit. I will spend more time in your teaching I have signed up for.

I wanted to be sensitive to those who may be in this category and or are new believers. I have a family member who has joined a Messianic congregation and started texting and communicating that way. The old testament has all the food laws. But praise God we are not under those anymore if you have believed the Gospel. God told Peter for instance in a vision or dream ALL foods are clean. Mark 7:3, Acts 10:9 -15
MEANING ALL FOODS HE MADE ARE CLEAN. Spiritually all people are worthy to be saved not just Jews.

@@cbak1819 Jesus didnt abolish the law but fulfilled the sacrifices, atoning for sin, being our high priests, and freeing us from the penalty of the law of sin and death. He reconciles us back to father. We are under grace the law of the spirit of life. Sin is transgression of the law. With no law, then there is no sin. People need to study further. We are not saved or justified by works but our faith will produce works. The bible says, if we love him, we will keep his commandments and his commandments are not grievous. Paul followed everything from the OT. The OT is referred to in the NT.
