Fun fact: The timing window for Perfect Parry is 1 full second on Easy, a fifth of a second on Normal, and a sixth of a second on Hard (60 frames, 12 frames, and 8 frames, assuming you play at 60FPS), while Extreme sets the window to a twelfth of a second (4 frames!!)
How did I perfect parry every time yet I couldn’t beat the master king 💀
Suddenly doing the entire update on Hard mode doesn’t sound that difficult…

@@XGame80you say that but forget that Sonic Frontiers is janky and not designed with a proper parry in mind. For Wyvern especially it feels like the window for his slash is when it's on the corner of the screen, not when it actually hits Sonic.

Man, I don't want to spoil the video, but so many parts were not what I was expecting. I do love how creative you had to get given certain characters' limitations.
Fun fact, you can Parry's Knight's ground spike attack, and the resulting slowdow lets you quickly approach the hand before any other spike rings form.
True! I just opted to avoid that because I was too worried about *somehow* messing up the parry.
Can we all agree that the wyvern was the main reason why the king trial was a pain to get through
I hope next time they have the parry long enough for each difficulty fairly and enemies have that in mind, the new final boss is the best example of that

Fun fact: You can get through the shield enemies by just y looping, you just need to be perfect, just be stuck to it, cyloop around, and when the shell launches, slightly wait before homing-attacking until the shield comes back, just stomp if you get hit
I was wondering how you would handle tails/amy and the towers and I forgot that HSS glitch existed lol. Regardless of what difficulty is being played you've shown it IS possible to do it without jumping once again. great video!
If you want, go for the new Cyberspace stages. No ones gonna pressure you so take a break after no jumping Master King Koco's Trial.

5:38 Correction if you psy loop quickly enough and finishing the combo with the first kick you should have 2 to 5 seconds to spare depending on your execution.
That's how I did it on hard after a about a dozen attempts.
Now imagine doing this without the easy mode additions.
Honestly, the new cyberspace levels seem pretty hard to do jumpless. I'm geninuely curious how you'd handle all of 4-letter cyberspace levels jumpless.
With Spin Dash. You can go pretty high and far with it. Literally skipping huge part of sections. I did them all with S rank and extra missions thanks to Spin Dash.

this is my first time seeing most platforming (non tower) in this game because of how easy it is to just skip it that I would say that this is the way they tested the game mid development

Didn’t realize how easy, easy mode makes everything especially the towers like damn so many ballons
It turns out that it is almost impossible to pass at the difficulty level “normal and higher”? After all, there are still many helping balls, springs, dash panels on these difficulties.
(If this was said in the video, I apologize for the question, I am far from a good knowledge of English.)
Those wondering what Final Horizon is, its Update 3, essentially a free DLC. Edit: Also, a good way to defeat them quickly is spam that zigzag attack thing *I forgot what its name was, I know, embarassing* but it takes a fat chunk of their health away
I feel like sonic purposely broke his legs so he didn’t have to do this challenge again
5:38 a bit off because this is exactly how I managed to win this trial using perry never even occurred to me until watching videos after the fact that all treated this as the obvious strategy

@@Alino- I guess so, I remember having to boost while cylooping and running between them and considering how you start with max rings it actually gets easier after you get hit once
I know this is unrelated but here goes..... Here's my initial pitch for the next plot of the next mainline Sonic game:
The Evil Genius Dr. Eggman, stumbles upon a potential concept of a maniacal tactic, an invention that can change one character, and switches their minds between said characters.
If Eggman can't defeat Sonic because of his speed and endurance, then why not take those away from him. He can switch sonic's body with a weaker creature for example. Rendering him useless in combat and speed, but maybe better in other areas, like intelligence. While another being, like metal sonic or any other robotic or living being enjoys those Sonicy features.
Then, Shadow will have to take his place as the speed element of the game. Meanwhile, sonic will have to resort to team CHAOTIX in order to figure a way to infiltrate Eggman's kitchen of inventions, in order to find a way out of this debacle.
This will force shadow to do all that he can, with the help of his old comrades, Rouge and Omega, to avoid the bitter permanent outcomes that can come out of Eggman's devious plans.
This will all be a diversion, as Eggman assigns sage to monitor and manage all the current happenings while he crafts his masterplan. Whatever it is.
I fought the boss rush on hard over and over again until an actual 4 hours of trying I beat it with three rings left. what followed was a dragon ball fans dream of an ending.

Good question; I never specified: I avoided spindash because it feels too broken, but would definitely help across all characters.
@@DPadGamer Oh yeah, it makes much sense lmao, Spindash is pratically a secondary jump on how op it is, so i understand lol

11:20 You don't need to parry any rockets. You just have to avoid getting hit by them.
parrying gets you close to Wyvern _way_ quicker tho, and given the time limit that makes it the most viable option

Can you beat the final horizon without moving (so basically you cant use the control stick to move but you can use boost and all your othr ability and you csn turn the camera to change your boost angle)
yes for no levelling, not really that difficult. no to the not moving with the stick.
How much do you think having the Spin Dash would help you?
I think that been dashing would probably avoid needing Knuckles to punch fly but I think tails would still need Cyclone boost boost
6:32 would a spindash + air trick have worked here?
Perhaps. The spindash is way floatier (and I think faster) than just boosting off a surface, so it'd probably work. If not; spindashing off the edge of the box (besides the problem rail) could likely reach the easy mode balloon I wanted to reach.

@@skeletonking27 I like how Tails is the least aerial character, being the only one who requires farming and maxing out but once you get Cyclone, it's over, while Knux basically turns on debug mode.

The extra ballons and springs are part of easy mode, and that has been in the update since day one.
Why didn't he use the spindash?
It needs to be unlocked for Amy, Knuckles & Tails; and for Sonic its not needed.
Now that I think about it. That's fair.

Bold of you to assume I can beat it at all. Stupid lock on system with no way to switch targets with that being the ONLY obstacle to fighting the final boss. Who designs a game this way? Did they just not playtest because of not getting more money for it?
