this song makes me cry every time I play it, my mother is at the end of her life in the hospital, its winter...we had wonderful holiday celebration thanksgiving and christmas at my house with all the family, mom wanted that, it was perfect...she was so happy...then, she got very sick, we almost lost her last friday, her kidneys failing and so many things wrong...can't get out of bed...oh Lord Jesus....my heart is breaking...she's 83. yes old...I love you so much mom...2 weeks in hospital ...only you LORD Know , thank you God for my mother..💜💜💜

One of my fav songs for two reasons 1. It deals with the hiddenness of God and feelings of hopelessness, loneliness and longing. All things I struggle with, especially during Christmas. 2. But more importantly this song includes the reality that Christmas is hope filled because it is the beginning of God coming to us to rescue us.
This such a amazing song. David hodges is such a talented man, I can't understand why he's not more famous. Your'll hear every cheesy song out there by star 99.1 but never a true heartfelt song like this. Thanks so much for the upload though, I appreciate it!

What is "star 99.1"? Why is this something global TH-cam viewers would understand? Anyway, to answer your question it's because he sounds "Jesus-y" and that doesn't bode well in the secular world. I to know the feeling of Hopelessness and Loneliness as my marriage fell apart and now hove no one to hold at night...
