- Hi All!! Well ...what can I say .... I love these new piggies from @thislittlepiggy3349 These 3 in the last release had you thinking ... okay ... pastel....softer.....but no...they pack a punch and this one is soooo good.

Colors used:
Artist Loft Soft Body Cloud mix:
1 parts AL SB acrylic
1 Parts Vallejo Pearl medium
2 parts American Floetrol
water to thin to consistency of colors
Colors:
Indigo! ( I totally forgot to put this one in the video list!)
Pthalo Blue
Cobalt
** This Little Piggy: UNICORN, SEQUINS
Tube colors all mix 2 to 3 parts American Floetrol to 1 part paint....water added just to get all the consistencies the same.
This Little Piggy pigments mix below:
Dry pigment dispersed in Liquitex high gloss varnish then added to Sax Gel Medium. Stir well to incorporate....should look like a tube paint consistency ...then add American Floetrol and mix well. Colors will look more muted in the cup but will dry perfectly with all the shine!

Thanks! Well, you don't actually see the Paynes Grey at all in the main piece! It's just that base layer that helps the paint move around!

I'm just seeing this comment! Oh no! Keep trying ...cloud pours can be fickle.... tweak your consistencies and make sure you put enough cloud mix in your pouring cup! What cloud mix did you use?

I have my colors mixed up and they are pretty thick. Definitely a 3 second trace. Im a nervous wreck to do it.. Tomorrow morning will be the day. So we shall see. Im a beginner soooo..
This is like a planet beautiful. Love to see you do a galaxy line up of 6 or 7 more planets in various colors. You could sell solar systems all one of a kind in sets!!! I love the planets space and galaxies.
Oh I've done quite a few that are galaxy themed! Probably 4 others I have in the lineup!

...how do you finish the backs of round canvases?
Well the flat rounds I cover in brown paper ...the round canvases is another story. I'll probably leave it open in the back!
@Willie B Studios ... Yeah the canvas would be kind of difficult because they're not flush with the rest of the wood.I have to work on that.. But you're right I probably will leave mine open as well..
I always tape the back, which takes some finesse...but this one looked pretty nice so I'm totally gonna leave it.

So what really creates a cloud effect? I always thought it was a combination of Artist Loft white & Decoart satin enamel but you don’t even have the Decoart satin enamel & you created a beautiful cloud pour!
There are multiple recipes. Yes, decoart satin enamels was the go to for a while ..but it's not my favorite. Can come out chalky. I find the Vallejo Pearl medium just makes gorgeous effects and it dries beautifully. It's my go to.

Yes you can use Amsterdam with satin enamels. I use US floetrol though and have not tried the mix with Aussie Floetrol ( I hoard my bottle because it's so expensive for us in the states! ) But I would try it with the Aussie Floetrol..maybe a little less in the recipe because it's thinner than the US version!

So beautiful! How much paint for 14 inch? Where donu get your rounds💜
A 14inch round?
Square the radius of the circle..
Then multiply by 3.14
Then take that figure and divide by 25.
So...
7x7= 49
49x3.14= 153.86
153.86 divided by 25= 6.15
So just over 6 ounces is needed for a 14inch circle.
I get my circles from either hobby lobby, Michaels or Fluid Art Co

You can use Amsterdam Titanium White. The white Artist Loft Soft Body is the other white

When you say your paints sat for 4 days, what exactly do you mean? You mix them, then let them sit for 4 days before you use them, covered or uncovered? They look very thick. Thank you in advance
Yes...just that...sit for 4 days..covered....and yes, my cloud pour paints are quite thick.
AL soft body acrylic- this is new to me. Is there a specific color? What exactly is soft body acrylic? Can you make it or do you have to purchase.
There are different paint bodies ( example: heavy body, soft body, fluid acrylics) . Artist Loft carries Soft Body heavy body and the classic body.
Not to sound dumb but, your cloud mix is 1 parts AL SB acrylic (artists loft soft body acrylic?) What is soft body? Also, what is Sax gel medium? Is that found near the tube paints?
Paints come in different bodies ( fluid, soft body, heavy body...etc) Artist Loft is a brand Michaels sells. Sax Gel is a brand of medium. You can use Liquitex regular gel medium/gloss or Goldens version. What store do you shop for paint supplies?

You don't have to use pigments at all. I just add them to my palette because I like the shimmer. I use metallic tubes as well.

You don't have to spin your canvas/substrate...I just like to especially when I'm doing rounds! You can absolutely tilt.
