    I’m gonna tell you this, no one denies the losing early on. That’s part of the legend. If you knew who the players were surrounding him, you actually be impressed that they were actually able to compete against the beasts of the East. The story is about perseverance and improvement and building guys around him. I’m from Chicago, grew up during this era, it’s a known fact that MJ personally worked with Scottie and Horace to make them they guys that they became bc he knew he couldn’t rely on management to get guys in. With Scottie and Horace we knew we had raw but talented guys that MJ could mold into this. Most people don’t know this bc back in the 80s the only teams you were able to follow really were your local teams. So nationally people don’t know how much MJ helped Scottie and Horace develop.

      Exactly. Who holds it against a draft pick for being drafted to a completely shit team? Jordan's career arc is as close to perfect as you can get for a professional athlete.

      Failure is part of success.
      MJ didn't spend all those seasons losing - he spent them figuring out how to win.

      The bulls of the 80's were all drinking, and using drugs day in and out. This was a 20-30 win team being carried by MJ into the playoffs nearly every year. Without MJ they I don't think make the playoffs even one year. Team was one of the worse sport teams of the 80's.

    What’s being missed is all the times they were saying that MJ was the best in the league before he had Won. The winning just solidified the position. His output didn’t really change when he got better players around him.

      Magic, during the 84 Olympics when the college players played the Olympic NBA team full of all starts, and HOF players in like 8 or 9 games in July, that the college players won every game, called MJ the best NBA player today. This was before he had stepped foot on an NBA court. I tell people find me another sport or the NBA where a magic, one of the best players in that sport, called a guy coming into said sport, who has yet to step foot on the sport's field/court the best player. You can't do it.

    I laugh when they say MJ was a ball hog early on. MJ had more assists in his rookie year than Larry Bird did in his rookie year. In fact, if you actually watched the games you’d see that MJ was forced to score more because if he didn’t the team wouldn’t score. I can’t tell you the countless would be dimes he dropped in his teammates hands that wound up as blown layups or bricks from perimeter.
    Just watch a random game his first three seasons and you’ll see for yourself.

    Fact : Phil Jackson wasn't a HOF coach in the beginning.. and early Bulls teams supporting cast was awful.. point is.. unlike LeBron, MJ stayed and built a dynasty organically.. He didn't leave "take his talent to South Beach" they all became HOF 6-0 Champs together

      Yup. Phil Jackson wouldn’t be the coach he became without MJ. Why you think he won with Kobe? Same type of player. Never won without that type of player.
      I will give Phil credit for being able to manage egos. That he was 100% on point with and was what the bulls needed.
      Bron is not willing to be coachable . He’s a coach killer his whole career. You have to be able to listen to be coachable.

He started off on a terrible team, DIDN’T leave and go somewhere else to win, stayed with the bulls, worked on his game, got better and then won 6 rings. People love watching someone work their way up and not just take the easy route.

    Scottie Pippen is very underrated! In today's game, he would be what Lebron claims he is. Scottie actually covered 1 through 4 and some times 5, depending on the center. Also, Phil Jackson wasn't a Hall of Fame coach at the time he was just a first-time head coach who knew how to really coach up players with good to great talent.

    • @punkem733

      More then coaching, Phil knew how to corral the egos on any team. He was able to pacify guys who maybe might not like each other too much, he was able to have guys likwe that to trust each other on a court. It's why he was called the zen master.

    Great video but I disagree with the comment saying we don’t ever mention those and only say what he did good. Not true, I’ve watched countless jordan videos were that’s mentioned every time. I’m my opinion it’s blown out proportion. Mj in the 80s had no help. No all stars nothing and he was doing everything. Average like 35 points a game, playing both ends of the floor. Scoring, blocking, steals what more could he do by himself. And he still made it just wasn’t ready yet. And back then people were doing drugsvin the locker rooms. Crazy time. Just unfair saying that way, yes he lost but he was having record breaking games so shouldn’t be on jordan. And lebron struggled first few years with great players on his team.

  • @tiredoffools8929
    @tiredoffools8929 12 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

    There was a lot of cap with the Pippen talk. First off it was the triangle offense of Tex winters that open all that space on the court for MJ to operate. Second Pippen wasn’t an Allstar caliber player until his 3rd season
    He came off bench his rookie season 7.9 ppg.
    Pippen was good defensively but became great playing under those tough love practices with MJ. Pippen got better each year and it was his defense that got him to be an Allstar Not his 16ppg.
    Horace Grant was just as important to that first threepeat team as Scottie was. So in my opinion he wasn’t over or underrated. He gets the praise he deserves. There were countless times Pippen disappeared in the playoffs. But there were games he came to play as well.
    Do I believe he would be a hall of famer had he not played with MJ? No. I do not think if he played in Seattle without those MJ practices would he been what he was with the bulls.

  • @tiredoffools8929
    @tiredoffools8929 11 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

    What makes Isiah walking out without congratulating MJ when the Bulls swept them was that each time the Pistons beat the Bulls the previous years. MJ was there congratulating the Pistons and wishing them well in the playoffs.
    That is why Isiah ain’t 💩 and deserves all the stuff that happened to him afterwards.
    Also Magic robbed MJ as Of two MVPs. Just look it up. MJ should have won those last Magic MVPs and it wasn’t close.

  • @WDKWCDT
    @WDKWCDT 13 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

    So MJ played with exactly one all star. Pippen did not make the 91 All Star team, so MJ was the only all star on the 91 Bulls. Horace Grant did not become an all star until after MJ retired for baseball. Dennis Rodman, Toni Kukoc, Ron Harper did not make an all star team with the Bulls. Harper had a knee injury that had devalued him, that’s why he was available. He was an all star when he played for the Cavs and Clippers (I think). Rodman was actually past his prime and the Bulls were basically his last chance to stay in the league at all. But he was far from what he was in Detroit with the Bad Boys. Kukoc did not become an all star until after he no longer played for the Bulls. So yea, they were deep but not as stacked as it seems when you look back on those guys’ careers. In the moment they were really good but not as great as they were at other points in their careers when they weren’t playing with MJ. There’s a reason they were available to sign.

    There's an orchestrated defamation campaign by Lebron's team that wants to diminish Jordan to prop up Lebron because Lebron has done nothing on the floor to be the GOAT so he has to get his people to talk shit about Jordan in a pathetic effort to prop himself up.
    The facts are that Jordan did more in less time than Lebron. Jordan is the GOAT.

That excuse is hog wash, and we know why he purposely avoided that level of accountability like the plague, then sends his minions to try and convince us otherwise😂. He would be forced to play more off the ball and reduce his ability to accumulate selfish assists, sagging off rebounds and garbage time points. He'd be held accountable for his blatant lack of defensive effort. And he couldn’t get away with forcing his teams to be so one dimensional. LBJ prioritizes person stats over winning.🤔 Which hall of fame coach is going to put up with that?

Definitely top 10 and for sure the best perimeter defender ever. but pippen wasn’t as overall impactful as Duncan, Robinson,KG, or bill Russell as defender. I’d say he’s next up after those guys tho.

    When you see the right video, you’ll discover it was actually food poisoning after eating a pizza in Salt Lake City. I watched that game (as millions did) and he was sicker than a dog. There was no load management, no I don’t want to play back to back games, limited minutes. The players played for the love of the game. He played because he wanted to win. If you want to grow your channel, please stop the conspiracy theories. Facts are facts.

    He was actually good...lol...He's the GOAT and its not even a debate! The truth is... is that if MJ didn't leave for a year and half to play baseball, he would have won 8 straight championships and 12 straight scoring titles. He was the fiercest most determined athlete in any sport I have ever seen. No one could beat he him because he would not let them.

    Kobe was the truth, and I really enjoyed watching him play when MJ retired the second time. In my eyes to this day, I still don't understand why the media keeps pushing this fake debate between Lebron and Jordan when it's Kobe that should clearly be in that conversation instead.

    • @mikecely3610
      @mikecely3610 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Kobe doesn't belong in that conversation either. Although Kobe is definitely above Lebron. Kobe fans always seem to forget that Kobe was a quitter just like Lebron. The Phoenix series in 2006, where Kobe quit on the Lakers to "prove a point" is rarely brought up. Plus, Kobe was not a good shooter, as shown by the fact he has the most missed shots in NBA history. Lebron is definitely NOT a top 5 or even top 10 player in NBA history, but neither is Kobe.

    No one denies or ignores his early losing and some of his early weaknesses. But if you’re having a 🐐 debate and your Player A and I’m player B neither dude ever runs down the negatives. LeBron fans don’t start “well he’s choked some series and he’s not a good free throw shooter etc” 😂. Everyone just lists what makes their guy the greatest. And when the negatives are brought up they try and contextualise it.

  • @ElizabethBidinger
    @ElizabethBidinger 7 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

    He had almost 0 talent around him until they got Pippen/Grant. No matter how incredible he was, basketball is still a team sport. You have a lot more videos to watch. He only ever had ONE other All-Star to play with in his career - Pippen, while LBJ picked many teams with All-Stars like Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosch for an example. MJ played with who he was teamed with by management. You didn’t “hear”!that his steals or other stats were padded. Conspiracy theorists and haters post that shit online. He still holds the scoring record after all these years and the 3-point shot wasn’t almost all the fricking offense like it is now. You’ll hear him say (at the time) that he didn’t want to focus on 3’s because the percentage made is lower, etc. No human is perfect but he had ZERO weaknesses and is still the best 2-way player ever. Barkley is 6’5” and one of the top 50 players when the list was created, still was when it was expanded to top 75. You’re missing so much. I suggest you try other channels like “The Real Mind Crime” and “Uncut Hoops” to name just two. Once you’ve objective, you’ll figure it out.

    What you mean we always bring up him losing to Bird and Early in his career, it’s what made Mike into Air Jordan. That’s where the Legend really begins. Nobody is denying or saying LeBum isn’t the best player in the league but he ain’t even close to being considered the GOAT. He’s just not. He’s barely top 5.

      @cobyskrilla119 mj was on the team. So how the hell was Barkley the best player? Now if you said Barkley ( was playing the best) that's different. But to say he was the best PLAYER on the team definitely not true

    • @cobyskrilla119
      @cobyskrilla119 8 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@phenomfacemob1011 Re-read what I said. The Dream Team was so dominant that any player on it could have gone out there and dropped 50 a game. The players on the team, or the coach, or someone CHOSE to feed Barkley. They gave him every opportunity they could. He averaged something like 30+ points a game. Was Mike the best player on the court? Of course, by a landslide, but statistically Barkley was the best player on the dream team. Just look up the stats. If you watch some highlights you can see them sometimes forcing the ball toe Chuck so he can work. And the entire team was so far ahead of any of there opposition, you'll see a lot of them playing in 2nd gear most of the game and still dropping 20+.

    18:05 who was Phil Jackson prior to Bulls? He is not a hall of fame. He became hall of fame due to Jordan and Bryant. LeBron had David Blatt in Cavs. That coach was a champion many times in Europe and had better resume than Jackson prior to Bulls.
    The difference is whether they are coachable. If you're going to notice the style of play Jordan and Lebron have, one has always the ball, and one was moving without the basketball to get his points.
