How do you save the items when manipulating the time offline? I have tried it a few times but only got to keep the items one time. Just not sure how to manipulate the save file. Can you explain please?
TLDR: make sure to set the clock back to the actual time and do one last run/game before closing the game or turning of the console. This also happened to me a couple of times. What I think happens is that the PlayStation sees that the file it has in storage is newer than the one it’s trying to save (because you set the clock back to a moment in the past). And then it doesn’t allow an older file to overwrite a newer one. So to prevent this I always make sure to set the time back to the actual time by choosing the automatically set time option, and then make sure it actually got set and then do one last run (could also just be enter and leave a game), to make sure it tries to save again with a file that has a “newer” timestamp. I haven’t had any problems with missing items/experience and levels since. The second time it happened to me, I had been running terrorized NM Andy on a brand new offline account that had just unlocked hell with my first character, and I forgot about it. I played all the way through hell, found shako on my hell Meph kill and a 72% cold sunder on the first TZ elite I killed, went to bed happy that I could start a sorc in the morning to start mfing. When I woke up I was back at level 67 with the Paladin in act 1 hell 🥲
What's your opinion of LK running? I've literally rolled a side by side two bonfire map, can do players 8 with my Sorc (thanks to you lol) and literally dropped an OHM there just now😅
Bro I was just trying to find my enigma and flickering flame there the other day. I found Ber and Lo off of the chests and Ist off of an elite. I also found some lower runes also, mal pul etc. In about 5 hours 😁
For some reason I can't reply to the previous message? But I asked is it absolutely necessary to respec into the Blizzard Sorc? I speedran / players 8 to NM with my Sorc, she's Fireball / Hydra, I forgot I have a Fire sunder to eventually use too🤔🤔
I honestly never played a pure fire sorc, the gear to get -fire res is a lot more expensive than respecing to blizzard, so I usually go that way. Off the top of my head I can think of flickering flame or Phoenix runeword to reduce fire res, but they both need at least one Vex rune. The thing with sunders is that if you don’t have any other gear to reduce the resistance of the element that’s sundered, you will only do 5% damage. With cold mastery you can easily get to around 25-30% damage to immunes, which will be enough to kill them.
Fireball is the best build for normal, but it starts to drop off in nightmare and blizzard will be much more powerful for clearing nm and later hell with a sunder

Extremely helpful and informative, sorry I'm typing while watching but do you subscribe to this idea I saw a while back, Stone of Jordan farming in NM Tamoe Highland? The guy said that potentially everything has the correct drop level, even trash, also floor 1 of the Pit. I've tried a few times but to no avail.
Hey, thank you for the compliment. I have honestly never heard about this idea, but I can say a few things: first, I don’t think it’s ever actually worth it to target farm a specific item, for several reasons, the main reason being that farming on nightmare you may have a larger chance for a specific item to drop, but you have 0 chance for higher level gear to drop. Second, the randomness of the drops is so high, that even if it’s the perfect conditions, you still could go 1000s of runs without the specific item dropping. Regarding the SoJ, the spot usually best suited to target farm it, has always been NM Andy, because she has a high chance of dropping jewelry, a high chance to drop uniques, and she can only drop I think 3 different unique rings, one of them being SoJ. I saw a couple of videos with people target farming her, but it still took a whole stash page of rings for one of them to be a SoJ. But again, it’s very random and you could be lucky and get it as the first one. I personally found a couple at TZ Hell Andy, which is one of my favorite farming spots for uniques and set items

Yes I've tried running what you mention but never get much lol, my problem is getting a consistent build together, I swear I should have over 10 usable characters by now but I mess about too much, use up all respects, delete, remake. I'm new to D2 but have over maybe 2400 hours on the Switch version.

If you want to get some good gear for your chars this is what I usually do when I start from 0: start with a Paladin, because he can clear the game pretty easily with no previous gear farmed, just with runewords you can get from normal, nm and hell countess. Start holy fire with zeal and around level 26-30 respec to hammers. Get him through hell and do some terror zones until you find a cold sunder charm (I usually use the offline trick to decide the current Terror zone and go farm eldritch in act 5). When you get your cold sunder, make a cold sorc and you will get through the game pretty easily also with a blizzard sorc maxing out cold mastery before the synergies to kill immunes pretty easily. Then when you beat hell, start farming TZ Andy and TZ Meph to get the gear you need for all your other chars. I did a couple videos on this (called 0 to hero), here on the channel, and in about 50-60 hours I already had a hammerdin/smiter who can do chaos runs and kill dclone no problem, a nova sorc who excels at key farming and a blizzard sorc who excels at target farming bosses or sniping elite packs. If you have some way of joining a PlayStation game, I would be happy to drop you some gear non-ladder
@@sonofgud lol I know I know😂 I guess I get too cocky with the meagre knowledge I have. At the moment I just have a Poison / Summoner that cleared Hell. Started up the other characters too and coincidentally I've got three Cold sunders for once my Sorc is high enough, three part Tals too. I do keep all the good stuff when deleting. My Pal has the most going for it as he's got a Magic sunder and three skillers among the good gear, again just needs levelling. Appreciate the advice and I'll be sure to check your other vids! I'm Switch only unfortunately but appreciate the offer.

This also happened to me a couple of times.
