  • What if the ground combat in Stellaris was a bit more detailed? Imagine zooming into the planet and getting a perspective similar to Hearts of Iron 4, and watching the battles unfold live like in Mechabellum. While it might introduce too much micromanagement, it would undoubtedly be pretty cool.

i'm about to start destroying fallen empire armies with just one division

  • @Stephen64138

Would the Paradox lag be additive or multiplicative?

  • @aleverettes2789

Call me crazy but I feel like a more complicated ground combat system will make the game a slog

  • @johnmcnutt8089

Imagine a full blown war hitting multiple systems and invasions. Id probably spent entire sessions on pause, just giving orders.

  • @gaboratoria

the fact that i can't tell if this is a meme or real 💀

  • @Jose-jw6vi

  • @melbifk

  • @rramos117

Make sure you research Superior Firepower doctrine and put neutron artillery in your divisions.

  • @MorganSaph

it would be cool, but it would also be a game of its own. And the lag, oh god no.

  • @bubbsbaby3091

    PLEASE post more

I love the idea of having a large scale map of the planet with the buildings being resembled.

If it was just the global 2d view where we watch the armies taking over territories, that would be perfect. You could spend resources building bastions on your planets by selecting certain territories. Planets could have highly defensive territories that give bonuses to combat, supply territories that have to be defended or else your armies get a massive debuff, communication territories that if not defended will cause your forces to move at random etc. It wouldnt even slow down the game very much since it wouldnt require graphical processing, but would make armies infinitely better.

  • @vairaul

I hope you are doing good Lazy Builds.

  • @alexvacaru5027

I would enjoy being able to edit divisions and create space marines but I understand why most players would hate it

  • @mrkngturkey6054

I’d think the game would better work out like a game of risk where every day or week depending on the amount of troops or defense a area or continent has you chances of capturing it is higher

  • @shadowdevil126

what would be nice for a rework would be different army categories that contain the army types within each overall category such as infantry, armor, air, monster(xenomorph reanimated, azizian, and others similar), and giant (warforms, titanic beasts etc) and then events with scenarios based on the armies, buildings (are you charging or defending a strongholds etc) and districts (are you fighting through rural farmland, through city streets etc) on the ground that gives you a decision on what to do that can either make the battle better or worse

  • @Ah_Shit_Here_We_Go_Again

If it was just an auto battler like Mechabellum I would totally be down with it

  • @David-xn1hj

i just want more builds :D ty for the content
