when you look at this algo at so called popular websites like geeks for geeks , you will never be able to understand that. Algorithm like Kadane deserve such lucid explanation. Two Years Back I saw his video on recursion and since then never faced issues in solving recursion problems but somewhere missed revisiting his channel in the crowd of too many DS videos and again when was unable to understand Kadane algo somehow his video popped up and Kadane seems so easy...Respect

After three days of reading so many articles, and videos on this topic, even I was doubtful at this explanation at first too, but then when I watched whole video, suddenly I completely understood this, my main doubt was that, when we get negative sum, we we make it zero, but with this train explanation I understand it, I generally don't comment on any video, but for this topic which I struggled for three days, I got my doubt cleared, thank you 🥰

Sir, Read Kadane's Algo multiple times but could never retain it. Now I think I won't be able to forget this train and family story :)
A note of caution.
Iske notes bnaie aur apne notes se revise kijie, nahi to jis din jarurat padegi us din jaldi se nahi aaega. Kadane's itna basic hai ki iske liye sochna nahi padna chaie.

After watching even video solutions of this question, i couldn't get the feel of what's going on in the algo. I had to memorise this little code and algo. And then i came here, and trust me guys isse better explanation aur feeling khi nhi aayegi. Now i won't ever forget the algo, needless to say that i won't have to memorise it. Small observation, current sum should be initialise with 0 else it will fail for input which has only 1 element in an array ex. input : [1].. Output will be 2 with your code but ideally it should be 1.

Nope, it works fine even for that case. If there's only one element and the cmax and omax are both initialised with that element, answer still would be that element(here,1). Not sure why you said it will be 2.
Look carefully the for loop is being iterated from 1.
