Pretty ironic Taker hating taking power bombs. For him to gimmick change at one point and start using one of the most brutal style power bombs around, dropping people from heights greater than a traditional power bomb.
Well he transitioned from a more dangerous move (tombstone) to one that was simply tough to take (and allegedly caused bowel evacuation lol). Big difference.
That is hardly surprising. A ~85kg man jumps from the top rope, raises his knees and then stomps unto your chest from a height of like 2-2,5 metres. Regardless of how much he tries to remove as much weight as possible, it's going to hurt hard af. Compare that to Swerve's stomp, who has his opponents at a different angle and sitting up a little, he can always put his legs to the side of his opponent, having most of the force go to the ringmatt, rather than his opponent
I'd have to list that as THE worst diving move to take (behind an unprotected diving headbutt to the face--you get a concussion, YOU get a concussion, EVERYBODY gets concussions! No thank you).
Tbh the Coup de Grace from Finn Balor is a baby move compared to Low Ki's Warriors Way stomp where he literally drives his feet into his opponents when he extends his legs. Finn Balor just jumps in the air and maintains a more safe squatted position to soften the blow. Wrestlers are just too soft for Finn's watered down version
Me and my friend since my aunt had significant amount of money she bought me a ring, I let my friend who also was a defensive tackle hit me with a powerbomb because he was like 5 inches taller than me (I am not small either) but he decided to do the Jackknife, and I will also say, my ass hurt for almost a week after it. Bob Backlund's pain is an accurate depiction
Undertaker didn't like taking power bombs, but he didn't mind putting a little something extra on the power bombs he would do to other professional wrestlers, especially the smaller ones
Idk who to feel more bad for in the thumbnail. Kurt for his wedgie or the Undertaker for the most likely sweaty area he has to put his face in every time he does the move
i always thought it was funny when wrestlers used regular wrestling moves as a finisher like leg drop or flying elbow or DDT cause someone else could use these moves just in a normal match and have no effect yet when its a finisher all of a sudden its super powerful i just always found that hiliarious
Given the Rock's wrestling skills, taking anything from him was probably a hit to the ego. I remember The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan when both showed back up to the WWE. The match featured a total of maybe four moves: clothes-line, leg drop, Rock Bottom, People's Elbow. Feigned punches could be thrown in for a fifth move if you're desperate.
When Helwig and Sting first broke in they were rough on everyone, once they were signed to a short contract with Jim Crockett's promotion, Crockett heard some of the complaints and offered them a longer contract and professional on the job training. Helwig refused and just wanted money while Sting jumped at the chance since he had fallen in love with the business. Short term, for a few years Helwig won the money battle but over the years Sting towered over him with money just from wrestling. i=It goes to show learning your craft has a much bigger payout. I think the respect Sting got from everyone from that point on for accepting the offer and learning along with his decades of work made him a more popular wrestler.
There used to be (not sure if it's still there) some good background about that on Sid's wikipedia page. Old Sid definitely filled his britches on more than one occasion it sounds like!
Bro, yall did angle dirty with that thumbnail 😂. Its also pretty crazy that sabu didn't like the pain. That dude was one of the craziest people in professional wrestling
Taker hating the power bomb makes sense. He is a big dude and there are very few who can do it on some one so huge, and even fewer who can do it safetly.
I think you could say the same for anyone who had to take Savage's elbow drop. It's still the best elbow drop in the business if you ask me, but as much as Randy always tried to protect his opponents, whenever he hit that move flush, man it looked nasty.
The Alabama slam is horrific move no wonder no one really uses it anymore lol it would be okay if the person giving it does all they can to keep you safe but bob hollys style he probably just gave it to rvd roughly lol
Yeah I don't know what the Stinkface is doing on this list. That was a taunt, not a move. It literally did no physical damage and was just to humiliate people. His finishers were the Rikishi Driver and Yokozuna's Banzai Drop.
I wouldn't hate it, i loved using someone else's finisher move while doing 5 hours creating the perfect wrestler on "WWE Day Of Reckoning" i miss that game
I bet Vince suggested that Rikishi do the stinkface in his typical Vince mcmahon voice.. " I got an idea...it came to me the other night at one of our late-night meetings...you're gonna rub your ass in your opponents face...god that's good sh*t!"
There is video here on TH-cam of Nash giving CM Punk the jacknife and he let go almost immediately on throwing him down instead of holding on until impact with the mat just about as early as he let Bob Backlund go
From a fans perspective, I hated seeing The Rock take a stunner. It’s meant to stun you, not give you the energy of a thousand suns to be bouncing around the ring like an Olympic gymnast.
Yeah I don’t blame anyone for not liking to take the power bomb; especially after watching rampage Jackson nearly kill Ricardo arona in pride fc; rampage has the best power bomb since he actually used it in real fights and it looks vicious
The more i hear about Bret Hart the more it seems he doesn't take accountability for his parts of taking bumps. Always 2 sides to every story and about the kick from Goldberg he received it was also on him to continue to compete while knowing he had a concussion and made it even more severe than when it initially happened. Bret screwed Bret Hart
He got a PPV main event against Lesnar for the WWE championship, 6 hardcore title reigns, 3 tag-team title reigns, and the super heavyweight gimmick was pretty over. He might not have been a top star, but he did well enough to be considered a star.
That thumbnail is pretty wild 😂
I don't think I've ever seen The Undertaker look so happy
That's a lot of ass
Kurt definitely got a wedgy of the undertaker from that lol arse crack burns of it for sure h😂😂😂

Jesus how old are you mfs
Undertaker: I hate taking powerbomb
Also undertaker : Last ride finisher
Gives you insight into his character.
😂😂😂 right! Just a bit hypocritical taker😂😂😂
He must’ve hated his feuds with Sid and Batista 😂
Rip big Sid 😢
Just like he doesn't like to be ribbed but he ribs others 😂😂
In fairness, he's a pretty big dude. Only a handful of guys could pull off the move safely & believably.
As a former independent wrestler of 7 years.
The Alabama slam is not an ordinary move. It’s by far one of the most painful bumps I ever took part in.

UT is a giant hypocrite in many ways lol
I mean, I don't see how it's hypocritical, when you're tall you're pretty much obligated to do them
@@leonardo9259 Why? He was always tall and was fine without using Powerbombs for the entire 90s. He only started using it when he became Biker-Taker.

I've heard it described as like being stabbed in the chest.
That is hardly surprising. A ~85kg man jumps from the top rope, raises his knees and then stomps unto your chest from a height of like 2-2,5 metres. Regardless of how much he tries to remove as much weight as possible, it's going to hurt hard af.

Think about it from a kayfabe sense. Sure, everyone uses the superkick nowadays, but you wouldn't want Shawn Michaels to hit you with one.
To be fair Eric, I don't think ANYONE liked taking the Stinkface lol
Vince probably enjoyed it 😂
Stinkface is the weirdest, most perverse move ever. I never liked seeing it. Just shows how weird Vince has always been

gotta agree with HHH here. People's elbow is just as bad as Santino's "Cobra".
The Alabama Slam is such an underrated finisher.
Yaaaa , I like how Tiffany uses it casually, lol.
Nikki Bella and Rusev used to use it.

Number 1. Kofi Kingston taking Randy Ortons punt
The Kevin Nash move always confused me. Why would either of the 2 guys want to be in that position? 😂
i broke my back falling ten feet, the last ride could definitely mess someone up with how freaking tall undertaker is
