Great Video. My wife and I went for Nevo GT’s with Big Bens and Supermoto X. We’ve found them surprisingly manageable on quite a few of the ‘Milder’ trails around us. First time the bike got a little sideways was two days ago on a dew slick grass bank around 30% slope. Agree 100% with this video. After hours on road and gentle trails about a 60/40 split I wouldn’t go for GX. Thanks as ever for the best advice videos out there. I may be in UK but your channel the place to go for advice.
9:50 If you want mountain bike pedals that won't chew up your shoes, calves, or shins, I highly recommend Race Face Ride. I run them on my commuter eBike and on my trail bike.
I have got the Urban: Kenda 27x2,1 on my E-bike and the alternative is offroad: Schwalbe 27,5x2.15. I feel that the Kenda(with knobs) is safe on dirty roads with loose surface, and also is fine on wet asphalt. The grip is really good. The E-bike is designed by the shop( their ovn brand Elride Prime Urban with Bafang Max-drive), and is factory direct price. Thanks Chris, for all info you has given us about E-bikes.
Thanks! We actually started scheduling the 2021 models already. You can now get them with the Nyon display as well which is cool. You can schedule a build on our website here: propelbikes.com/product/riese-muller-delite/
Thanks for this video. When I purchase my R&M Delight GT I will ask the dealer to take off the super moto x 2.4's and fit the schwalbe 2.25's Marathon Plus MTB's. I swapped those on my 2019 sduro trekking 7 and the difference on even grass or trails has transformed my current bike. The other factor to remember is the MP mtb's have much better puncture protection over the SM's. Cheers
Thank you Chris! I have a Superdelite GT, changed the tires and pedals and added a dropper post. Nice to hear your perspective. Really questioning if I should go for the Fox suspension. No matter what, I love my bike.
Was surprised to find out recently that once the new Bosch update is done on the Gen 4 motors, the torque will still be less than it’s always been on my Specialized eBike. Credit where it’s due to Specialized. But that Supercharger 2 still seems like an amazing bike. Hope more makers start to have the dual battery option for those big days out.
I did not understand how the Fox upgrade for the non-GX bike would effect the front travel. You mentioned that in the GX you would get up to 150mm of travel so not sure what to expect with the Fox upgrade for the non-GX version?
Thank you Chris for this breakdown on the tires. Me living close to the artic circle (Iceland) would like to know more about nailed tiers now that winter is here :) What are the elements I'm looking for, what do I need to know and are there any R&M options for nailed tires?
Chris, as always, very informative and useful stuff. I have a Superdelite GX on order, optioned with Fox upgrade (build should commence this week!). Can you recommend some appropriate initial suspension settings for a 210lb, 6’1” rider? My riding will be maybe 40% grass/gravel and 60% paved, but sometimes rough, bike paths.
Thanks, this was super helpful. Can you explain why a fully tubeless tire increases maintenance? I had always thought (hoped?) this would eliminate it.
It does help prevent flats and allows you to run the tires at a lower pressure, but you do need to occasionally add sealant and you definitely need to add air often as with all bike tires.
Thanks for the video! Can you please tell what glasses you are wearing? I saw an interview with Tom Ellis a year ago and he was wearing the same model, but i never found out what it is.
Perfect... It comfort me in my thought. Just too bad that they don't make more resistant tires, because off roads is where you need this puncture resistance the most.
Hello, great videos. The adjustable seat post; can it be used on other bikes…..such as the Hyper e-bike mountain bike…..a Walmart low-cost e-bike….? You keep saying that bike shops will help you etc….Let me tell you that an independent bike shop in my town refused to work on any e-bike that was not sold by their shop. What was USA bikes has been taken over by TREK….You call the shop and get a message to leave an e-mail…..”We’ll get back to you ….Thanks for the informative videos.

CHRIS THANK YOU FOR THE COMPARISON OF THE SUNTOUR SUSPENSION AND THE FOX SUSPENSION .

What kind do you have, thats what im looking for, something on road mainly but can bust open a trail if i feel froggy
Thank you so much for making this video. You have answered my question on the GX option. I'll pass on the GX with the knobby tires.

Excellent survey of the GX features! Thanks!
Very persuasive, the GX Delite with Fox suspension sounds like a good alternate to the Mountain. Thanks Chris great info as always.
Thanks! Much appreciated! I think that’s the way that I would probably go.
@@Propelbikes Chris. I will likely order the R&M Delite from your Brooklyn store. When will the 2021 models be available for order? tx

David what brand/ model dropper did you get. Did you have to pull the bike down to get the cabling through?
I just bought their GX model ..Love it
Always interesting information
never saw a 'dropper seat' before.. pretty cool!
Very informative, highly competent, no show, thank you very much!

Im trying to make a decision between delight and super delight based on what’s available

Yes, you can get studded tires, but this would be an aftermarket upgrade. The Schwalbe Ice Spiker Pro is a good option.
Thanks so much for explaining the options. I found myself disappointed when it ended.
That’s so nice of you to say
Another Great informed choice video ,
Can you use drop post and suspension saddle at the same time?
Nicely explained, thank you
Thanks Chris. Great details relevant to unique rider requirements considering this GX option.
Really interesting Chris, thanks for sharing this info. Cheers.
Saw recently Fox coming out with adaptive suspension! Useful for tour trail!

Latex based sealant will dry out as you add more fresh air into the tire.
Would it be possible to put 622 tyres on a delite/superdelite?
Technically yes, but you would need to change the wheels as well
@@Propelbikes thank you for you answer.
I should have written wheels or wheels and tyres from the start.
Hi where is your shop thank u Brian
I’m planning on the Superdelite with GX package but I don’t want the tires. Can I do that?
Tasunke I did. After I made the comment. Do you have anything better to do with your life? Clearly not.
You can
Thanks for the video! Can you please tell what glasses you are wearing? I saw an interview with Tom Ellis a year ago and he was wearing the same model, but i never found out what it is.
Can't beat Brooks leather saddles
>
,It was Schwalbe Smart Sam 27,5x2,15 was the offroad tire recommend for my bike!
Perfect... It comfort me in my thought. Just too bad that they don't make more resistant tires, because off roads is where you need this puncture resistance the most.
If you add tire liners you will have plenty of puncture protection. We recommend Tannus
