Hahahahahah! Hey, thank you so much for having some RR stuff up here on TH-cam, osfn8! It's a trip to see what it all eventually turned into. I'm a *very* old "ghost", by the way, sax and mello '77-81, when we were doing the old 27th Lancers and Phantom stuff. I was present at the meeting when UHS's band was christened "the Renegade Regiment". Tnanks again!
I will never forget this amazing show. When I saw it in person it was so much fun! Too bad the cameras never know when to give us a tight shot or an overall shot (the sax duet needed to be tight on the band so we could see the awesome plume action). And the twitching guard? Creepy and unforgettable!
I love that sax solo. It's gives me the creeps. This show is being preformed by another matching band and from what I see of it here we have good competition... Crimson Pride forever!
Well, I'll be damned! :-D Hi, Win! I was "hitting all around it (you)", wan't I? LOL! Say . . . have you been checking into all the old-school DCI stuff floating around here on YT? (Hint: Check the playlists on my page, for the "Cliffs Notes"). That's what I was originally looking at when I decided to try to hunt up some RR stuff, and came across this vid.
I remember watching this at GN finals that year and thinking it was way out there, but looking back on it in retrospect, the period of 1999-2001 was a real period of innovation, this show included, so it's not so weird in retrospect. Although, was it really necessary to switch back and forth between the high-cam and the action-cam like it was an acid trip?
They were both done by Higgenbotham at the same time. he just changed them up so they didn't sound the same. Good thing Bell didn't go to Nats that year...that would've been awkward. lol
Hi, sagewindmoon! I was away from keyboard for a while, and came across this msg. from you . . . speaking of which, I think you'd be one of two people, but your bio here is mum about any further confirmation. I'm thinking you're either Spreeman or Nazim (E., not to be confused with Nazim, A., who I also think about from time to time). Do I win the prize? :-)
I also am a vet of the Union RR and I really would appreciate you thinking about that comment. You need to realize that in saying that, you just tarnished the name of the Renegade Regiment and Union High School. Remember that you're a representative of the band and school at all times, including in cyber-world. Think about it next time, because there are a lot of people you disrespect with such a comment. Please, everyone, disregard NewYorkJetsFan1's comment.
I was a member back during this year! Probably my favorite year ever! And the year after too!
This was my first year in a real marching band and I will forever cherish this, and the discipline just getting up and doing this daily gave me.
One of my all time favorite shows!

I'm so jealous. I am in the Union colorguard right now, and I watch this show as my past and get goosebumps everytime.
This is our field show this year and I'm so excited to be able to conduct this as a senior =D

Gah. Best show Union has done. Ever.
Great show. I remember this from BOA 2000? I also remember the sample track from an episode of CSI.
