Very sad to hear this...I had a client 2 years ago who had to deal with a botched beard and hair transplant done at the same time in Turkey. He felt really bad about it, but his repair went super well and after 1 month it looked very good already...he was much happier. After 2 months I reached out to him to get an update on his results but unfortunately found out he committed suicide in the meantime. In our first conversation, he also mentioned that his parents both died of cancer within the last 1.5 years. He was the only child... We can never know the details of the whole story and we have no idea how much emotional trauma the person has been already carrying prior to the surgery, but the red flags mentioned in the video are spot on
I agree there may have been some other traumas. Losing your parents to cancer isn’t something you can avoid. Getting a bad hair transplant for cheap, totally avoidable
When I saw this article I was quite literally shocked, stopped still where I was and had to process it for a second. Some people aren't equipped to deal with such misery. It drives me nuts when people underplay the effects of a hair transplant. "What's the worse that can happen? I don't have hair anyways!"... Fortunately there are places that can repair bad work, however as I always say - "if you screw this up for the first time, it will just be a catch up game".
This is incredibly tragic and thoughts go out to the loss of this young man in the prime of his life and to his family and friends. Sadly he is not the first casualty and nor will he be the last the way this industry is today. I also after a botched hair transplant at 18 had suicidal ideation. Luckily I went and got professional help at the time. I ask that anyone who is in a similar situation please do the same. An important video and thanks for sharing Melvin. 🙏
Unfortunately, everyone who knows how this industry works, this tragedy is not a surprise. Sometimes I spend my time reading complaints from portuguese hairmills and yeah, you can feel the desperation from many of the righful complainers.
Hi Melvin. I didn't have the opportunity to have ORAL Minoxidil made beforehand ( manipulated ) at the pharmacy. I only have a chance to order next Monday (the 4th) and I have medicine to take until Sunday (the 10th). I don't think the pharmacists will be able to produce my medication before the 10th. So I'll either have to take it every other day to make it work. Or, I normally take it daily and from the 11th I would have to stop taking it until I have the new medication... What is the best thing to do? Take it every other day? Or take it normally, and stop taking it when it runs out? .. What should I expect in both scenarios? Will there be consequences, like shedding for example? Thank you
Or just shave your head. Why should you use fin for the rest of your life with all those sides and go through these HT risky surgeries that leave scars and does not look natural in so many cases?
CHRIS BUMSTEAD AND IAN WENT TO SMILES IN TURKEY AND THEY GOT PERFECT TRANSPLANTS, TURKEY IS THE PREMIER PLACE TO GO BUT DO RESEARCH ON WHO'S THE BEST THERE
Omg 2/3 of the things you said happened so I’m screwed then? My surgeon was involved for a bit but he had another surgery. His staff finished the rest. Also they had 2 other surgeries that day including mine. So am I fucked?
You’re probably fine, sounds like he was at least present. The clinics im referencing the surgeon is nowhere to be found, and they do dozens of surgeries not just two.
This industry needs a lot more regulation and a lot more checks and balances. It's morphing into something very dark in some areas.
Absolutely agreed
Morphing ? The cosmetics industry has always been the wild west

Beard transplant are no-go. They almost never end up well.
It depends on the surgeon
@ its a hard pass man. You should know this better than me.
This is so messed up
Going to Neopel Hair in Tijuana…. Heard good things about them. 2 MD’s performing surgery. Looking forward to it
I have never heard of them. HMR in Tijuana does good work
Some men don't start growing their beard until their 20s. Give it time
Unfortunately its too late
So how'd he die? Did he take his own life?
Yes he did
oh no, that's so sad

“In Turkey.” That’s where he should have turned around.
To be fair, there are some good surgeons in Turkey, but only a handful
CHRIS BUMSTEAD AND IAN WENT TO SMILES IN TURKEY AND THEY GOT PERFECT TRANSPLANTS, TURKEY IS THE PREMIER PLACE TO GO BUT DO RESEARCH ON WHO'S THE BEST THERE
So then what can U say about a clinic like ASMED, Dr. Koray Erdogan
Shitty hair mill

This was in Boston btw not some 3rd world shithole.

Stay away from Turkey
