HUGE Manually Controlled Freight Elevator in Chicago, IL

Yes, this is manually controlled. Unfortunately, it was operated by one of the building employees as I was filming it.
MY THOUGHTS:
I really like the spacious cab and the chandelier that's hanging inside it. The motor is insane and even though it was slow, I did enjoy looking up into the shaft as it was moving. I even like how there's a flap that connects the cab and the floor landing so that way, it's not gonna pose a tripping hazard.

That's pretty large. Wonder if this was used for automobile transport back in the day. The 2 counter-weights almost make it seem it's 2 separate elevators combined into 1. The chandelier tops it off.
