Surely it's against the rules to have your cube break, continue to the move the unbroken pieces and then reattach the pieces that fell off? Must be a hack for 6x6 or something if not.
@@leonhardeuler675 the fastest u can assemble a 4x4 is around two minutes, which is slower than just solving it normally. for big cubes like 6x6 and 7x7, its just a few minutes to solve it normally but by swapping the pieces it would take 10 minutes at least most likely way way longer.
This timer start seems to be completely fine according to the regulations, so no +2: A4b) The competitor uses their fingers to touch the elevated sensor surfaces of the Stackmat timer. The competitor's palms must be facing down, and located on the side of the timer that is closer to the competitor. Penalty: time penalty (+2 seconds). You did everything right here
@@brunovervoort 🤣 that's quite unfortunate if true lmao. I showed the judge the video and he even called over a delegate (who I'm pretty sure was Sébastien Auroux) and they still ruled it a +2, but either way it is what it is
Cubephile: *gets the cube*
Cubephile: nope, not my cube, can’t do it
it was a terrible cube
Did Luke Garrett give you permission to do this?
no, but it's not like the concept of a highlights reel is trademarked or anything

I don't think that's a regulation, but I'll get back to you on that
@@MihirRaiNotSubTwo If it's good, then I will be breaking my PB pretty soon (currenly 1:50:00 on 3x3 🤣)
it takes longer to take it apart and reassemble tho
@@deruedits Some of these big cubes rake hours to complete conventionally. And you could get really good at swapping just a few pieces I bet.

okay
1:04 how is it improper? Am I blind, or do I just not get it?
Apparently I just had my fingertips on the timer, when you're supposed to have your palms fully face down
@@MihirRaiNotSubTwo wait that’s a rule? I do that all the time at home
That’s for stopping the timer
