My biggest frustration in choosing a bag is not having a water bottle pouch! I want this to fit under the air craft seat.
I'm so glad this was helpful! I totally agree about the water bottle, but what I normally do is hook it to the rind for the crossbody on the outside or just stick it right in the middle since it sits up like a purse!

Hi, thanks for the great review. How are the straps if you don't use the crossbody strap? Do they slip if you carry over your shoulder? Too short? I really don't care for crossbody strap - I don't like how the bags position in that way and LOVE shoulder bags, so was really hoping these straps work. Everything else seems perfect.
I had a similar situation with the beis mini weekender. The leather strap ripped on my first trip and completely fell off on my second trip. Bummer bc I liked it. Now I’m interested in the medium everywhere bag!!

Two questions: do you find it takes up most/all of the space below you when you put it under the seat? Are you able to kind of tuck it under one side?
And do you find it kind of time consuming opening to grab items in the airport or on the flight because it opens more like a luggage?

It really depends on the airline, I have flown only bigger commercial airlines in economy and it fits perfectly with room for my hoodie on the outside under the seat. I leave things I was instant access to either in the front outside zipper pocket or open in the bag where the inner pocket is and I only unzip the top like a purse to get what I need, takes the same amount of time for me :) Hope that helps!

I am going on a 12 day trip to Africa. I may have up to 40 pounds total weight. Carry on only. Duffle bag only. This is going to be very challenging for me to pack this light!

Yes! It's what I bought it for! I just used it to go to Mexico and it worked PERFECTLY! So impressed! Fit right under all of the airplane seats ( we have 4 flights total).
I watched your video on the Away Everywhere Bag and ended up ordering the exact one you have based on your review! Just wondering which airlines you've flown with since you purchased the bag. I typically fly with JetBlue and I'm worried the medium won't fit in front of my seat, since I think different airlines have different size limits on personal items. Any info would be helpful!
Oh YAY! I haven't had ANY issues with it fitting under all economy flights on United, Southwest, Delta, and American, but what I will say is that even if it ends up being a little tall, it will lay on its side really well for flights since it's set up like a suitcase too, so worst case you can angle it in there. Please report back so others can see how it went for you too! Have fun on your trip!

Does this fit under the seat of a plane? My Beis mini weekender fell apart on our first car drive trip 😂 and so I returned it so I’m still hunting
I've only flown major American Airlines with it, but it has fit under every seat I've sat in economy :) About 15 flights with it so far and holding strong!

The bag looks nice but its annoying when these types of bags don't come with a cover for the handles so they stay together.
Totally get that! After using it a few times (5 flights and one overnight) I found that I love the body strap more than the handles, its like a crossbody feel and then I can still use it to put on my carry on if I want to.
