As a lifelong Megadeth fan, this brings me great joy to see others hear a song I’ve heard thousands of times for the first time. It takes me back to when I first popped that Rust in Peace tape in my Walkman as a kid. 💚
@@fug33 that's the thing about megadeth. They are more of the musicians favorite than anything else. Megadeth is by far the hardest of thrash metal to learn. At least for me they are. The only band that is harder in my opinion to learn is testament.
"Wake up Dead" by Megadeth. It's about Mustaine having to sneak home late at night after partying without his wife waking up. It has the best head banging breakdown riff of all time.
Marty Friedman wrote all of his solos and parts - not to mention learned all of Mustaine’s parts - in less than a month before immediately jumping into the Rust in Peace tour. Marty is the one you hear in that solo in this song.
Angry Again, Symphony of Destruction, Train of Consequences, 99 Ways to Die, Sweating Bullets, Ashes in Your Mouth are some of my other personal favorites and have interesting lyrics
This lineup was the best Megadeth lineup of all time. Its hard to believe that Dave Mustaine found another guitarist that could shred as well as him, but if you listen to Marty Friedmans solo here, he may even have Dave beat. Legendary stuff!
Dave’s strengths are vision, song writing, riff writing. He’s pretty good at solos but they’re not his forte. That’s why he hires lead guitar players. He hires experts for that craft. Poland, Young, Friedman those other guys lol

@@Opesh. honestly, in my opinion, every testament album is above average - awesome! starting at the beginning with "the legacy" and working through sequentially would be alright. i have very early cd copies of the first 4 albums, so production quality is a little low, but i'm sure by now remastered versions exist. the 5th album, "the ritual" is a little more accessible to mainstream listeners, but it's still good. then they got heavier, although i still have not heard the latest album, "titans of creation" (2020). if you like old school thrash, i think just start at the beginning. if you want their most mainstream, "the ritual". my personal favorite is "souls of black" then "practice what you preach", the 4th and 3rd albums, respectively. i hope that helps and you enjoy testament!
Great reaction for one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite bands. I love ya'll, you're always fun and open minded. I have to recommend my favorite Megadeth song, "Addicted to chaos".
As a fan of Megadeth that's been lucky see them live 3 time I can say this song fucks harder live.

Hanger 18, peace sells, symphony of destruction, countdown to extinction, sweating bullets, and my favorite; in my darkest hour. All bangers
Best Line-up ever... Dave, David, Marty and Nick🙏❤️💋👍👍👍
BROTHERS, FORECLOSURE OF A DREAM is a great song!
I truly enjoyed watching you guys vibe to this
There will never be a solo that epic again. They just played in Japan with the original guitarist and when Marty totally dominated that solo live, all Metalheads around the world were in tears.
This album came out when I was in grade 12. Tornado of Souls is in my yearbook as my fave song.
Diadems is a song that I play on repeat every time that I hear it, think it's on the Hidden Treasures album
