My father Always called me MISOL because he said I was his sun so I think what better name for this beautiful little orangutan baby girl than MISOL and her mother LUNA. They are awsome and share 97% of human dna. We need to do everything possible to help them survive. Babies stay w/their mothers 7to 8 years, then she will have another one, they live 60 to 70 years in the wild and are very gentle and intelligent! Please help!

When the baby is in a breached position in the womb, they can have a hard time coming out... Instead of head first. Unfortunately, it happens to all mammals. They did a c section just in case. Happens to humans all the time.

This has resulted in narrower hips that aren't optimal for childbirth. For humans, this isn't really an issue since we have the technology to continue to defy natural selection. But for apes, if they continue interfering with their evolution, they will only ever be successful in captivity never in the wild.
