"4.23 World Book Day : Reading for All" cum "4.23 World Book Day Creative Competition Prize Presentation Ceremony" in 2024
The Hong Kong Public Libraries (HKPL) organises the "4．23 World Book Day Creative Competition" in 2024 on the theme "Reading Love (Love Reading) " in support of the "Hong Kong Reading Week" and "World Book Day" to promote a reading culture. Through competition, which integrates reading and creation, we hope to encourage children and young people to broaden and deepen their scope of reading and to share the joy and sentiments obtained from reading.
On the same day, there was a fun day held at the Exhibition Gallery of the Hong Kong Central Library with fascinating activities such as storytelling theatre based on the Chinese traditional folklore story "The Ten Brothers", a comedic performance featuring Chinese acrobatics, balloon twisting and a photography booth. The book-related activities were to encourage the public to enjoy the pleasure of reading.
