They are seen as an attack on fundamental human rights and as a form of discrimination with regard to other religious communities (Muslim and Christian in particular) which authorise the consumption of beef.

गाय का दूध हड्डी को स्वस्थ्य रखने में भी सहायक होता है. हड्डियों के विकास के लिए दूध का सेवन काफी महत्वपूर्ण माना जाता है. खासकर बच्चों और युवाओं के हड्डी स्वास्थ्य के लिए दूध अच्छा माना जाता है.
गाय के दूध में विटामिन-ए होता है. विटामिन-ए आंखों की रोशनी को सुधारने में मदद करता है. विटामिन-ए की कमी से आपको रतौंधी, आंखों के सफेद हिस्से में धब्बे जैसी आखों से संबंधित समस्याएं पैदा हो सकती है.
गाय दूध कैंसर के खतरें को कम कर सकता है. दूध में विटामिन-डी उच्च मात्रा में पाया जाता है. एक रिसर्च की मानें तो दूध और डेयरी उत्पात का सेवन कोलोरेक्टल कैंसर, ब्लैडर कैंसर, गैस्ट्रिक कैंसर और स्तन कैंसर से बचाता है
