  • Hello, we are Jarrod & Esther. We have been riding motorcycles for over 35 years. This year we decided to film our ‘adventures’, post them on TH-cam and see what happens. How hard could it be? We quickly realised there was a lot more to it and we have been learning ever since.
In our early attempts we used our phones and cobbled together what we could when we produced the videos. We like to think we’ve improved at least a little bit since then. Please stick with on our travels, learn a bit about Great Britain and enjoy the ride!
In this first adventure we are travelling the coastline of Great Britain, trying to take in as much as possible on the bike while maintaining some progress.
Let us know what you think in the comments and please like and subscribe to keep up with our adventures.

Well done you guys. It is lovely to see our coastline from a motorcyclist’s perspective. Really enjoying your adventure.

Great series up to now you two, I'm reliving my limited time in the Southwest operating coach tours, Lynton, Weston S-M, St Mawes and Newquay. Totally out of my comfort zone, but immensely interesting. Nice videos, and nicely put over. 👍

Oh wow a chain ferry 😎 Excuse my ignorance but I’d always assumed Swanage had the last remaining chain ferry 🤯

There's a few chain ferries. Fowey, Dartmouth, Torpoint come to mind as well as Swanage.

Ha!😁. C'mon, it's not that bad. We've updated our 'description' on the most recent videos with a bit of an explanation if you're interested in why we do it. Hope it doesn't put you off the rest of the content.
When we set out it was a bit 'half baked' and we nearly didn't do anything with the early footage but then thought it's all part of the journey. The other thing was we missed a lot of places in the first few episodes. We actually completed the trip a few weeks ago and started to go around again and make a better job of those early videos.
Keep at it, it'll be excellent prep for your trip!!!!!

That's good to hear John. You'll also see our video making journey! Looking back, I cringe at some of the earlier episodes, not just for the filming and image quality but also the 'story telling'. Let's just say we relaxed into it as we did more!!!

Great vods and love the map at the end, not sure if you have edited all your travels, but be great to see the mileage for each day, but these are very watchable Thanks

Just taken a week off from the editing but we have a few more 'in the can' ready to go. I have to apologise and warn you now, the map is dropped from some of the more recent episodes - I thought people were switching off before they got that far. I will look to re-introduce it again, maybe a bit before the end. Esther said I should keep the map! I'll make sure I do my 'piece to camera' for the episode I'm working on now to bring viewers up to date with what we've done and how far we have traveled.
Where are you from? Do you ride?

@@greatbritishbikingadventures Your Vids (Not vods! I really should proof read stuff I type) It looks such an interesting adventure and I really like that is not just someone just riding a bike, but you show places of interest and places to stay/ eat. Yes i do ride my wife does too, I have a Honda NC750x DCT and She is just about to take delivery of a Honda Hornet 750, we live on the Essex Coast, so maybe you haven't got this far yet? Or you have a lot of editing to do lol

@@flexywing We've been through Essex and currently as far as Lincolnshire! Nice pair of bikes. If I was planning on a solo world tour I think I'd go for the NC750X DCT, the combination of bulletproof reliability, fuel economy, load capacity and no hassle DCT makes it (IMHO) by far the most sensible choice. Esther rides as well but not so much nowadays. Glad you're enjoying the vids - helps keeps us motivated!!!

@@greatbritishbikingadventures OK, I have managed to do a few rallies with the NC, The TAFFY DAKAR in 2022, which was right on pembrokeshire coast, camping at a lovely farm, West Hook Farm Camping, looking over the Saint Brides Bay, very busy with ships hiding from the storm. I am sure it would be lovely witht he right weather. Also been to the British Legion Riders rally in Bishop Auckland, where we saw Tommy on the Seaham Sea front, do hope to see this on one of your trips, well worth a stop and great fish and chios to be had. Keep up the good work, giving me ideas where to go and reminders of where I have been. Ian
