@@TheBluesmanBlue same here! in 81 they released their last album Face to Face as a trio, however changing times brought difficulties for the group. disco music was outdated around that time and evolved into boogie / funk and pop flavored dance music for the black acts. then as far as I remember after two singles in 82 , they were dropped by Arista. interesting fact that they produced Keith Sweat's debut single in 84 and the second in 85.

Would have got ahold of GQ I think they would have more successful and with plenty more hits on the soul R&B and pop charts
It will never die ever ever ever ever ever 1979 there will never be another year like 79 ever❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ there was something about this year like it was anointed in time the seventies were leaving the 80s were upon us it's unexplainable it was so pure it was like Atlantis that was that never was or was it so many things that happened in the past that was so terribly wrong and there was an up-and-coming year an 80 I was a little kid in 79 I didn't have my mother but I had my grandmother and my grandfather and when the song came on I had this feeling I would sing and sing and sing it til i perfected it ❤ so many things happened in 79 in my family I can't explain it but I absolutely adore this year 1979 when this song this group was so popular and they just faded away but the eclectic Ness of this band is phenomenal I will always love them forever Infinity ❤I think they were on Arista records like Phyllis Hyman and Aretha and Whitney in so many others that I love, Clive Davis I just don't understand but he was brilliant he is is it the money it must be🤷♂️ that's business I guess we're in 2024 how many eons have passed since 1979 no one was in the Uproar that the country stays in today,🤷♂️ 1999 - 2000 until today 2024 there were so many up-and-coming things I hope I'm still here to see the new up-and-coming things in the future I would love to live forever but who wouldn't I wish everybody could live forever I know Jesus said we will but there's a pathway we must take to see Jesus and it starts with love and kindness not hateful meanness and Evil the seventies have no devices that we have today the 80s had no devices that we have today people don't seem to understand that the younger generation yall please learn and catch up quickly so many tragedies of young people in the 2000 years I know there were in the 90s and the eighties and the 70s but they are so prevalent now I'm so proud to be from the time period I'm from I swear I missed the days of great TV every night on TV you had something good to watch people played LPSand 45s and talked on real phones house phones office phones pay phones so sad that America discarded payphones it's terrible I won't talk about the plane crashes that we've had since the 70s and 80s and that one in 2001 American Airlines oh my God Jesus and it was so right there near 911 I cried till I hurt they say the one in 2001 was an inexperienced pilot Jesus not to go so far off the grid I love GQ I love 1979 it's something about when the stylus hits the vinyl of this particular song I do love you I love this song so much I know I'm not alone because when this song is played it brings back so many memories to so many people not just me I wish I could claim it all to myself that would be wrong so many people love this song y'all know❤ does anybody remember how good the food tasted in the past and the Saturday morning cartoons was so good you didn't want to move you just wanted a big bowl of cereal if you had the money to get it and good parents or grandparents house nobody cared about being a billionaire can't buy your way in only in love will get you there Now sing GQ❤ later y'all❤
