For those who are wondering why the audio is messed up, the original footage had commentary over it so I tried to isolate the gameplay audio as much as possible which is why it doesn't sound the best.

Don't get me wrong, call of pripyat absolutely blew my young mind the first time I played it. But you're absolutely delusional if you think games from 2007 that you still have to pay for out preform a 100% free to play mod of the game, strictly talking people who play. I have no stats to back up what I'm saying but honestly it's just 2+2= no fucking shit. Now with all of that being said it is stupid to expect this game to be like the mods, which was your original point, I'm just playing devil's advocate. Most of the people that have played the stalker series were introduced to it via COC or Anomaly, so I understand the expectations and why a lot will be disappointed probably.

The problem is that you have all these fucking tourists who want it to be some militia tacticool LARPing simulator for Tarkov rejects, rather than, you know, the video game based off of Roadside Picnic and Andrei Tarkovsky’s film.
Does anyone who plays the originals on PC think the gameplay footage is a little bit too “Call of Duty” - I mean what’s the hurry - just take “in” the zone for what it is - it isn’t a race!?!
True, all the animations are kinda wonky and too aggressive. Thats for now a big point about enjoying this game in terms of realism type survival
Excited for the mods to come about from this! I hope we can get a realistic loading/magazine management mod, that was one of the most immersive parts about EFP.

On discord it was asked can you key bind things, the answer is yes, weapon wheel is optional can be turned off.
@@NoradNoxtus You can adjust UI, been confirmed on discord, actually lots of things can be changed, like weapon wheel removed and replaced with keybinds, compass, map markers removed etc..
The showcase was played on the Xbox which basically requires a weapon wheel to function in any good capacity. I'm 99.9% certain it'll be normal number key selection on PC

I hope Stalker 2 won't feature excessive bullet sponges. With those kind of games I really like a more believable approach where you can get killed rather easily but you can also kill faster. Instead of giving enemies a ton of health it should simply be more restricited with how much ammunition you can carry around.

I think he took some psi-resist drugs before taking on that controller.
That's how they did damage in Shadow of Chernobyl as I recall it. They do mental damage rather than health damage. If you take too much of it you will die instantly.
@@onlypeaceindeath I believe psychic health was added in the mods, namely ANOMALY
but if I am wrong, there is still no indicator of psionic health or how much damage you've taken, so it looks like at least for the showcase that Controllers don't do anything

According to the wiki. I was certain that i did die to that first controller without losing health.
It's possible that the character didn't receive enough damage for the mental damage icon to show up. But I don't really know.

Incredible. Pre-Ordered long time ago yet. Zone is calling. I used to mod first STALKER with past old xRay engine... And I wonder if there's any chance we'll be able to mod that one too at some point ? I mean, why showing us such a teeth tool if we can't try to create some extended content ourselves with it for that beloved game ( only once finished in vanilla first, of course, which might yet be some intense challenge ) ? :P Modding communities are like making games immortals and even as immortal STALKER is yet for people like me playing it in 2007, such a creative community would just extend its radius to more and more younger stalkers... Some other games, not even as good IMO ( not bad neither ) used to survive like a decade or more just because of mods, it really worthes it, for everyone, from the players to the developpers, well I guess.
There will be moding its been confirmed but not on initial release

Looks good, but I expected more gameplay wise. It just seems like the same stalker anomaly but with better graphics. I was expecting at least realistic enemies hit reactions. (Like when your shooting the dogs. It would be so cool if them had roll falling animations when hit. But they just run away)

Probably not, but I think in most games they end up changing the names.

I think it depends on the weapon and if the company that produces it has copyright on it. ofcourse stuff as AK and M4 are lines of models and not the weapons themselves. meanwhile sometime like Desert Eagle is trademarked because its the name of a specific weapon. but from what i know most of the firearm producers don't really care about it but ofcourse there is always a risk one of them will sue to try and get some money out of the company.

Anomalies. Bolts activate them so you are able to see them and avoid them and not get demolished like those mutants when they go through them.

That’s because GAMMA is inherently different from STALKER. Gamma turns stalker into tarkov, it’s a far cry from the original games.

God, it looks just like far cry 5, you can set up waypoints on your little compass. You have indicators where the enemies are. It looks too easy.

Stalker has accrued quite a cult following here in the US, Stalker anomaly, and it’s two main mod packs Gamma and EFP, have definitely put Stalker on a lot more people’s radar.
I think it has the potential to do really well in the market here in the States, but I guess we’ll see.
Maybe don’t launch a genocidal invasion against your neighboring country that is developing the game, and state that they don’t have a right to exist and that their people are fake.

Sounds and atmosphere are great, but it seems a bit like COD or any other action 1st person shooter like that.
Doesn't have the same vibe as the original STALKER games, especially when compared to Anomaly, EFP, GAMMA.
Lets hope they improve on that or at least make it easy to be modded, so the community can take over where needed.

disappointing to be honest. looks to new and too and too modern. breaks away a lot from the style of the original games and of course the all-time major problem is also present in this game...OPTIMIZATION.
Games like tarkov, squad and call of duty are not optimized for lower end pcs and neither is stalker 2.
A RTX 2070 paired up with a 12gb RAM will smoothly run this but a gtx 1650 with a 4gb ram shitbox like min will struggle to even launch the game, non the less to actually run it.
