I saw Boston live back in 1994. The moment the guys walked onto the stage, everyone stood up and stayed that way for the whole concert. It was amazing and the stadium was rockin. To hear Brad Delp sing live is mind blowing. Sorry to say, I'm not impressed with the current lead singer and will not watch another video with him in it. Tom Schloz doesn't even look like he's enjoying himself.

You kid, I turned 60 in early December. This has always been my favorite band. Tom Schulz is nothing less than the Einstein of 70’s rock. I love this band and the music they created.
I remember in '76 I was 8 , the build up by the local FM station DJ to playing More Than a Feeling for the first time.. Was awesome to hear it for the first time, have been hooked ever since ❤

First concert I ever went to was Boston. Took My 8 year old daughter to see them and we have seen them every time they come to southern california since. We were at this concert. She just turned 29 on the 8th... Its my 62nd bday today.......The greek is the best venue ever!
This is the first decent audio/video footage I have seen in my lifetime since the debut album came out. The singer couldn't get any closer to Brad than he is....remarkable. The audio/video recording is great and the whole package is a treat after so many decades. The one and only BOSTON by BOSTON. Never ever there will be a debut album as epic as this one. Those were the days when the R n R was the fuel for life. Fantastic job by Image Factory.
I get all giddy when I look behind Tom and see the rack full of the Scholz Rockman guitar overdrive , effects and distortion units . The Iconic Blue fronts are unmistakable. I owned several of them in the day. They are hard to find today, but Ill bet not so hard for the man who created them. Iconic band, and right up there with one of the most educated bands in rock. Brian May from Queen has a PHD in Astro Physics. Tom Scholz of Boston a graduate of MIT, and electronic wiz.
Same here! I still own a Tom Scholtz Rockman, but it needs fixing. Such a pro musician, and to think labels turned them down is hilarious. He writes amazing songs and plays for the band and not for himself.

Gary Pihl (pronounced "peel") very talented guy, 'Sammy Hagar was the opening act at the end of Boston's first tour in 1977 and opened the whole second tour in 1978/79. It was on those tours that Pihl met Tom Scholz. The two of them found out how much they had in common with their extensive home studios and techniques. It set up a lifelong bond and a few years later Tom asked Pihl to join Boston, after Hagar decided to join Van Halen. ' -Wiki

Great things come out of Boston. The Cars, Bobby Orr, Phil Esposito, Larry Bird, and the band Boston. Revolutionized the rock industry. Set the bar for tone very high, then a lot of bands tried to get the sound. Nothing could match the original. Everyone talks about Tom Scholz the engineering wizard. Great composer, master sound mixer, and he's also a great musican on the keyboards and guitar.
Boston is quality unsurpassed. Tom sholtz is a wizard composer of scores of solid tracks throughout the years. My favorite? It's changed over time. But I NEED YOUR LOVE.❤️

Always going to love Boston, although no one will ever replace the depth and intensity of the late Brad Delp's vocal tonality. Many changes since theri original debut when I was a kid, but still one of the greatest rock bands led by the musical innovations of Tom Scholz! RIP Brad.
I’m 61 and never got to see them. I had tickets but there was a huge ice storm in Dallas and I missed the concert. I did see them play basketball against the radio stations though, that was weird. I’d love to see them.

Tommy DeCarlo's story is just like Arnel Pineda's... a real-life fairy tale! Both gentlemen were discovered thru an internet post, and the rest is history 😁
Boston was my first concert ever! Openers were Blue Oyster Cult and Tommy Bolin 1976 McNicohls Arena. Tom was an MIT grad in Electrical Engineering. The reason it took forever to release albums is Tom had a side hustle making effects pedals. In one interview, he said the pinnacle of his career was when Jeff Beck ordered the only peddle he only had one of. 😎
I got to see them live at Jones Beach many years ago when Brad was still alive and Brad & Tom were the only 2 original members left. Hate to say it but as a long time fan of Boston, they sucked live!

Great visual with that backdrop. Saw them in '78 they literally had a sheet hanging behind the drum kit. Sammy Hagar opened for them, don't think I didn't see Gary there on guitar. He was poached from Hagar, great pickup by the way. Keep on rocking Boston✌️

Every time I see this band, they astonish me. I only got to see them play once in ‘17, but have hit multiple shows on other tours. Just how tight and masterful every execution of each note is phenomenal. I saw Tommy D and his band twice this year, and his voice is amazing! This video is amazing, because I love seeing each band member loving every minute!
Of course, also, it seems that Tom Sholz recorded all of the guitar parts in his home studio, but check out Barry Goudreau playing live here on TH-cam, his guitar absolutely sings.......

I saw them on the Don’t Look Back tour. They played the whole album in order. Took a short break and came back and played the whole first album. EPIC!
He’s not Brad, there will only be one Brad.. but, he’s as close as you’re gonna get and he did a fantastic job. And I do think they sound great.

Yeah-he played everything on the first album and on most of the rest. It's always been a studio band first, with Tom its main driver.

I got to see them live at Jones Beach many years ago when Brad was still alive and Brad & Tom were the only 2 original members left. Hate to say it but as a long time fan of Boston, they sucked live!

Great visual with that backdrop. Saw them in '78 they literally had a sheet hanging behind the drum kit. Sammy Hagar opened for them, don't think I didn't see Gary there on guitar. He was poached from Hagar, great pickup by the way. Keep on rocking Boston✌️

Great ..happy feeling...depth my ex girlfriend is called Leigh Ann, Song ' I see my Mary Ann walking away ' ! still shivers ...hey we still love each other and friends, and am a musician of blues and rock....that song kicks my emotions like no other still. Apt...Wonderful.
Every time I see this band, they astonish me. I only got to see them play once in ‘17, but have hit multiple shows on other tours. Just how tight and masterful every execution of each note is phenomenal. I saw Tommy D and his band twice this year, and his voice is amazing! This video is amazing, because I love seeing each band member loving every minute!

@@sarge6870 Sorry, although „More than a feeling“ was well known to me for years, I absolutely knew nothing about the band until I bought the first two albums on vinyl and recognised what great music they made besides their big hit. I just read about his tragic death. Shame on me :(.
