@@ShadyDoesContent I actually think there's a plot, that Gaster wanted to escape his nothingness with Spot's power. Last line of verse 1 and first line of verse 2 kinda suggest that.
@@MilesProwerUAWhich in my opinion is what kinda got Gaster the win lol. Not saying everyone has to agree, they can have their own opinion, Gaster didn’t even win the official community votes. lol
Love these reactions! I wouldn’t worry much about the people talking about pausing too much. That’s what the reaction is about, otherwise I could watch the original video. I like hearing your thought process on the bars because sometimes it reveals new things to me! Love the commentary too. Keep it up man. As for who won, I think it’s hard to say. I prefer Spot’s lines, but I enjoy how “story focused” the battle is on Gaster attempting to manipulate Spot’s abilities to get him untrapped from his pocket dimension. Combine that with Gaster’s cool demeanor and attempt to defuse the tantrum the Spot threw, it’s really close
Hey, just wanted to say that these reactions have really brightened my day. It's really awesome to see how genuinely excited you are with the talent in the rap battle community. I know this isn't your main thing, but thanks for uploading!
Gaster just straight up hijacking Spots turn was insanely good Spot had good lines but Gaster was LITERALLY in control of the entire battle during his first verse he didnt even talk to Spot directly, only talking about him while factchecking his logs, not even facing him he wanted to check what he was made of so he hijacked his turn and gave em a breakdown so he wouldnt hold back...and was disappointed by the result, casting him out like everyone else did in his life before just walking away from the battle because he saw what he wanted to see and wasn't interested anymore
Gaster played him like a fiddle. Treated Spot like a mere experiment, and even after witnessing his raw power, still deemed him a disappointment and embraced darkness rather than deal with Spot's childish tantrums. Gaster won.
I think Gaster won, the fact that he just ignored Spot until his second verse where he just basically said “Wowwww, that was shit! Imagine having a tantrum because of your ego lmao!” It was almost a tie for me though.😊
Personally, I don't think that a winner exists in this rap battle. The two contrast each other so heavily that you can't really compare them. Spot definitely had harder hitting lines, but Gaster was calm and in control the whole time. I also kind of think that Gaster's animations were lacking, especially when compared to the magnificent pisel art of Undyne done in the VS Knuckles rap. I think I get why it was like that though, as the Mysteryman character only has 2 sprites, so the minimal movement is there for a reason, I guess. It just feels so weird compared to Spot's glorious animation. I genuinely love the Gaster references in this battle, with subtle (and probably unintended) ones such as the reference to the Deltarune track "The Legend", the "How was the fall" of course, the easter egg line is clever as it links to not just how people can see the Mysteryman and his followers in Undertale through the "FUN value" , but also the "Egg Man" in Deltarune, which is really clever. References to Alphys were made in Spot's first verse were also subtle, showing how Gaster was replaced by someone below his intelligence but he still goes unnoticed for the most part, and especially the "Garbage heap" line, which links to the Waterfall dump area, Spamton living in a dumpster and the "Garbage noise" in Deltarune, which plays when you call on your phone in the dark worlds. The sound that plays in the game is a direct link to Gaster's Entry 17, and the line itself was cleverly done. The door line right after was a nice nod to how you encounter the Mysteryman himself. Spot saying "Nightmare mode" in his portal scene is a reference to the FUN value system Undertale has, with this specific one giving a "nightmare" version of a word search in Snowdin. The wrong number song and Gaster followers references are similar to this. Lastly, the "Spot is a loser" chant takes place in front of the bunker in Deltarune, which is where many suspect Gaster is. In the game, the bunker emits a sound that is the same "Garbage noise" that comes from Kris' phone, but slowed down by 666%.
Why is nobody talking about the GENIOUS GASTER VERSE AT THE END? So spot gets realy mad and he says "im not your punchline" wd gaster knowing this calls spot a weak little ant and on his last verse he says the frase *my domain remains s p o t l e s s* SPOT LESS SPOT ENDED UP AS HIS PUNCHLINE BRO GOT FOLDED
I personally think Gaster won. He didn't even CARE about Spot until the second verse and was able to dismiss it as an ego tantrum. Hard as hell.
Gaster wasn't even playing fair, he literally just inserted himself into Spot's second verse and messed with him.
@@MilesProwerUA Yeah, he was provoking him to see his full potential, then was disappointed at what he saw.

@@ShadyDoesContent that's why he needed to anger Spot, so he'd find him

Gaster won.
people say spot won because his 2nd verse went hard and people say gaster won because of how he is in his verses

Nothing is unintentional for these guys, JT Music literally made the sans and papy rap that has how was the fall, ofc he'd mention it lol
@@GameGuy667 with the unintentional part i’m strictly referring to the “The legend” reference. I feel like it could go either way

HOW DID HE TURN A 4 MINUTE VID INTO A 15 MINUTE ANALYSIS?
some guy made a 29 minute analysis..
i swear bro💀 someone get them a job at Mcdonalds so that they can learn how to put the fries in the bag.
That "canon event" line literally blew everything Gaster said in this battle out of the water. Everything else is just bonus points. Spot, easy W
Yeah but gaster took control of his verses for half of it and was disappointed when spot went all outt and basically just ignored him the whole battle
My domain remains spotless
