Thank you for making this video! It was really informative for me as a 14yo starting to get into starto groups! I really hope there will be more stuff for international fans in the future especially as someone who would love to see arashi in concert one day
This was an extremely informative video! I didn't even know about fan clubs and was pretty surprised to hear about the ticket lottery! It's disappointing to hear how the company is acting towards international fans! Hearing her passion, your love, and your heartbreak really shows and truly hope that they change things!
I had no idea that Johnny's rebranded their company, but totally makes sense they would after the scandals. They've never been foreign fan friendly - really surprised that they haven't tried to implement something for the western audience.
They basically gave everyone the choice to move to a new management company. It’s kid of a mess of a variety of different contracts but ultimately I think it’s good for the idols careers overall. I wish they would have used the opportunity to revisit the relationship with international fans in a more positive way.
Great video! I really think it's worth it to send this video to the company, perhaps add Japanese subtitles and I hope that they'll listen to you and other international fans.
I would love to add Japanese subtitles. I will have to find someone who can do it because the things I say in the video are a little above my current Japanese ability. Hopefully someone from the company can see it though!
Thank you so much for the video!! First of all, let me fill you in: 1) I started receiving J international in 2011 and the last email was on mid-Jun 2012 2) FC starts to accept credit card payments in general AFTER Naniwa-Danshi's FC establishment (2021) because I remember I still had to ask my friend to pay for me when it first opened but when I wanted to open another fanclub of another group I could do it myself. 3) You can contribute to their oricon chart records as long as you have a proxy address to send your CDs first then have them send it to you because its the tax charged that makes the purchase count Ok, about my feelings: I can totally feel you. I wish I could give you a hug. I am a fan of Kanjani8 for 18 years. Although my home country is Hong Kong (which i understand how lucky i am because i am relatively close to Japan) I spent my college years in LA so I totally know your pain to have to pay extra to buy their stuff. However, as much as we now hate the old man™, he was probably the only man in the company who really cared about international market. The new CEO obviously doesn't care about us (some was suspicious that he was trying to sabotage the company by doing this to us to decrease fans) Tbh i am so tired of this company's policy of rejecting us when we literally do nothing wrong, if not we paid more to support them. The artists are really happy when they saw fans from foreigner countries holding up fans saying I am from *insert country*. Thats how i usually got my fan service from them. If only they knew how hard it was actually for us to even get in to see them. Anyways, you couldn't have said the whole thing better so please allow me to share it on twitter to spread awareness! I am pessimistic on the company's future actions towards us but at least if enough people knew what we are going through it's better than nothing i guess. Again, thanks for the video! And sorry for my super long comment😅😅
Thank you for the information!! The trade off with using the proxy address for the cds to count towards charts is you often lose the opportunity to use the serial codes for extra content. The code registration period keeps getting shorter. If I ship it from cdjapan using DHL I can usually get the package on release day but with a proxy, sending it to the US usually you get it after the registration period >< It’s so backwards with the streaming music and store but the FC stays the same :/ I hope we can get our voices heard a bit more and a solution can be reached. Feel free to share!
You inspired me to dive into my old email box cuz I remember signing up for J International as soon as it was announced because V6 was due for an album + tour at the time and wanted to be able to go. 😅 - First email: 11/05/2010 for Akanishi Jin's US tour. - Last email: 05/31/2013 for PLAYZONE '13 w/ Imai Tsubasa, Nakayama Yuma, 4U., They Budoh, "MAD", Travis Japan, and Yara Tomoyuki Looking at these now, I really have been in the Starto trenches for a long time lmaooooo

Thanks for listening! It’s been years of this treatment and we just want to have fun and see our idols like everyone else!
