I think the game can actually use the “key item” system. Maybe there is only one possible place to find a bomb to copy, hidden behind a mini boss or something. It would work the exact same way as finding a bomb bag in normal Zelda games

So nintendo after years of patching the duplication bugs in both botw and totk, they decided to transform it in an actual gameplay mechanic.
i'm making this prediction now. one of the end game bosses before the final boss is going to be Puppet Link. he might even be like a Shadow Link covered in the essence of these rifts. and when you defeat and save him, you will get Link as an echo that will be necessary in the final fight.

I've never been more excited for a Zelda game
The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom was easily my favourite showed game in the June 18 2024 Nintendo Direct, it's so nice the game looks like Link's Awakening Remake one of the best Zelda game on Switch, it's coming in september 26 with amazing cold looking Nintendo Switch Lite Hyrule Edition 2 days before my birthday september 28 so now I'll know what game I'll wish and play in my birthday and maybe I'll buy that Nintendo Switch Lite Hyrule Edition too it looks so cool! I know Nintendo dont' wan't to change their BEST franchise's name, but because it's the Zelda game where you play as Princess Zelda herself to rescue Link what we've been waiting for the name SHOULD be something like The Legend of Link Zelda's Awakening or The Legend of Zelda a Missing Link! Link is the real Hero the Legend of Hyrule so that's why he's name should be on the name: The Legend of Link has FINALLY arrived! 😆❤🔥

Open ended puzzles = bad. I think the dungeons will suck.
From the trailer it may seem that the tri-rod is the only thing Zelda will be using, but look at the D-pad mapping on the left side of the screen. There are 3 other options that are empty, maybe she will expand her fighting style as the game progresses?
I hope Zelda can echo a cucco, because if she can we will see so many attempts at a only cucco run.

You can even see in the trailer what appears to be a wind-up octorok that goes on top of Zelda's head and shoots at enemies. What's interesting about this octorok though is the fact that it doesn't have an arrow over it, implying that it's not an echo, but rather an actual item you could either buy or find in a dungeon. I also don't think swapping through your echoes will be all that tedious/confusing because I'm willing to bet there will be a way to favorite/organize echoes that you see yourself using more often than others but are also not too overpowered so that it renders other echoes useless.
If Nintendo is trying to merge the gameplay styles of TOTK specifically with the gameplay of a top-down Zelda game, they will likely incorporate this feature from TOTK where it puts items you use the most before anything else so you don't have to scroll through a menu trying to find what you want to use. But I do think that Echoes of Wisdom will try and encourage players to change things up and experiment with various echoes and not just stick with specific echoes throughout the entire game. This would further solidify the fact that you are limited to some capacity with how many things you can spawn at a time, which could lead to some very interesting puzzles I would think.
Endless posibilities but just like TOTK we will spam beds for everything 😂
This is the game I'm most interested in this year. It'll be something fun to play this fall while we wait for the Switch 2 reveal and the next-gen games coming soon.
How are you unsure if this is a mainline Zelda title? They literally confirm it in the Direct.

Not sure why everyone is assuming there will not be other items. The d pad on the top left indicates you will be able to play other items on the other three buttons and every Zelda game has multiple items. They highlighted the tri rod but I believe there will be other items to include offensive weapons just not a sword.
I think this game will easily be the best top down zelda in term of exploration and I'm really hyped for it
And most importantly, how will Zelda torture Koroks?

3:14 ...there will be other combat options in the game as well other than the echoes and other items as shown in the trailer Zelda winds up some octorok thing and wears it on her head to take out enemies.. that is a completely new item and not an echo... i also wonder if Zelda will be able to get the pegasus boots so she can sprint dash across the world like Link, I can't imagine just slow mo walking around the whole time... and even the flippers so she can swim on the surface of water... i bet some of those staple items will make a return and there'll be a lot of new ones as well outside of just echoes...
I was just saying this elsewhere but "dungeon echoes" would be a good analog for dungeon items for picking apart puzzles and taking on bosses, making this game much more traditional than some people realize.
Dungeons could be very interesting with these new abilities. We could be looking back to link and see it was very limited.
In these reticle sandbox is the best way to try these new things without being just mechanical with havok phisycs engine solutions to dungeons.
But again, there won't be just one solution to dungeons, not just one, so it will be mass appealing. That is good and bad. I miss one dungeon solution, there is something regarding tht is not found on other way.
Bro you hated on totk for not using traditional weapons/puzzles, and instead relying on the ultra hand and fuse abilities for puzzles. But then you go and praise this game for doing the same thing with the tri rod and echos?

Anyone who played a summon druid or necro in D2 will be comfortable playing this style of game.
Completely disagree, sorry. Too many options for puzzles = too easy, lots of hand-holding, in game suggestions. The baby graphics only reinforce my fear.
I think the echo ability will only be an early game ability. Later there will be additional abilities, four in total which will be put onto the D pad. I guess at least one of them will be more combat focused.
Honestly I think this game is gonna be average like Mario vs Donkey Kong or that Mickey Mouse game. I feel like they are taking a great game and watering it down.

@@Zoltloz0_0 it wouldn't be boring if there was good variety, some optional, some hidden. The first Zelda had 18 dungeons... "boring" game I guess? And that was for NES... dungeon variety wasn't even an option.
