Definitely deserves a second season my favourite character was the main girl she was great and really proved she wasn't a damsel in distress p.s this was better than Jack Ryan s3 which I was really hyped for

I was surprised at how this series forced me into binge watching. Very well written and I already recommended it to my son.
I hate that Peter homies died, he was a real one. Monk was solid. Farr made me convinced that she wasn’t involved til the scene actually showed her she was. Great show. Definitely deserve a second season. After all, we still don’t know where Gordon Wick is.
Yeah and plus I’m guessing the guy the president said a team killed 8 who killed Pete’s dad was probably the wrong guy or he survived and is still alive

I felt bad that the writers had Cisco to die. He was a good cop.
I was a little suspicious of Farr but liked her so didn’t want to believe she could be the bad guy. But as soon as she slipped up about Peters friend I knew it, even before Peter revealed it. It was such a great scene.

I randomly found this show while looking for something to pass the time at school, and I am so glad I did, this really got me back into thrillers and mysteries.

I was surprised that it was good. There were actually risks. I liked how they gave the assassins a story. They just weren't unnamed people killing. I also like the secret service story as well. The was true loss when the Monks died. I hope there is a season 2. I also liked how Rose was a fighter. They didn't have her doing Taikwondo. But she saved Peter's life a couple of times.

After some time, finally a show that deserves a Second Season, or more. Great acting by all, based on well written interconnecting storylines. And enough open ends for more. The original writer Matthew Quirk is just 42 years old, get him on board for continuation.
i binged watched the 10 episodes over 3 evenings... surprised by how good it was! They should definitely film season 2, once the follow-up novel is written!

Hong Chau was absolutely amazing as Diane Farr. She ate so much in this role that she ate a bullet 🗿
I absolutely loved her. I would like to see more of her in a future season. The actress really played the role well. I saw a bit of Olivia Pope in her, too, from Scandal, and I love that. When they shot her I thought she'd died and I was kinda sad about it but then I saw she'd survived and I was thrilled. I'm assuming she'd stand for trial and hopefully that means we get to see more of her. Also, Kate, the president, I love that actress. I used to watch a show she was in, Cover Affairs, a while back, and I loved her in it and this is great too. There was a nice chemistry between Hong Chau and Kate. Guess we'll have to wait and see

I binged the show in 1 day. It's very rare I did that especially nowadays. I really enjoyed the show. It's been very long time since the last time I enjoyed a tv show. It really focused on telling a whole story where every character mattered. Even the love story was felt natural, there were no rush, too vulgar, or silly lovemaking scenes which many today shows show us today. I was really surprised by this tv show that I did a rewatch. ❤
watched this show with little to no expectation whatsoever! i was so pleasantly surprised finished it in 2 days!
3 weeks late to the party but i was really impressed by the show as a whole. I’ve always had trouble getting into shows but this one got my attention instantly, loved the constant action and how they really kept the audience guessing whos all involved in the crime. Excited to see what’s coming next season!
Definitely deserves season 2. I have been wanting to watch this type of fbi thriller series and this series perfectly satisfied me. I really look forward to see season 2
An absolutely gripping thriller. You've seen or read this sort of thing before, but when it's executed so well, you enjoy the ride.
I really liked that it's a thriller that doesn't just copy paste the usual thriller tropes but it uses them in an interesting way. The VFX don't suck, which is good, and the acting is nice, too, which is not something that can be said about all Netflix shows unfortunately. I especially loved scenes with Diane and Michelle. I really liked the actress playing Diane. She played the role with a scent of Olivia Pope from Scandal and I loved that, and Kate playing the president is great. I've loved her since watching her play Joan in Covert Affairs like 10 years ago. The scenes with them together were really great. Hopefully we get more of that next season, and I'm dying to know what Peter's assignment is, too. Hopefully the writer of the book lets them write a second season, or is brought on board. Either way I'd be happy with a second season
It quite literally copy and pastes every trope and cliche ever used in any thriller. I don't know what show you were watching but it couldn't have been this one.
One of the best shows I watched. I like the fast pace and the thrill. I can't wait for Season 2. I like Peter and Rose as partners.
Had the day off so binged watched the whole season in one sitting. I really enjoyed the show and look forward to a second season.
This show is sooooo good! I saw everyone was talking about it on social media so I checked it out myself & it’s definitely worth the hype. I figured Farr was crooked! When the guys showed up at the cabin

This show was enjoyable and good. Rose is my favorite. 8/10 will watch again

@@djmreacts5808 I am someone who lives for action pack spy stuff etc...just feel like it need more action. Would of love for Rose to go one on one with Ellen but I will take what I got. Was hoping Ross and Peter didn't fall in love or even have sex but trauma brings ppl together sexually. But overall I was invested in it 100% to the point where I had to take a break in the last episode after the car didn't blow up and the camera did that long take of the car driving off into the darkness, my heart was beating. My 8/10 is a very strong rating as to if the breeze blow a little bit that 8 can turn into a 9. The show was solid 👌 for what it is. Standing by for season 2.

The ending didn’t land for me with the second plot to kill the president but I’m more sad that Peter didn’t stay with Rose. I know it’s the hollywood ending but it would’ve been nice for him to get some peace & love at the end
It’s just following the book series. He’s a full Night Agent now. I hope we get multiple seasons.
My thoughts exactly! I was hoping Peter would finally get his cabin somewhere in California with Rose.
I stumbled on the series after watching a video about the 2 leads' chemistry & loved the show as a whole... except 1 thing: how can Peter be a Night Agent at the end after being such a high profile person of interest in THREE (not just one) ways 1. his family name, 2. the metro bombing AND 3. the kidnapping of VP's daughter??!?
I mean his face has been ALL over the internet AND TV?! This is a plot whole that irks me with another favorite series of mine, The Rookie. How can Lucy be UC. Having starred in MULTIPLE documentaries? 😬 but I digress LOL

This show is great! It doesnt exactly reinvent the wheel but the action was great, story was great and the plot twists were unexpected. I would gove thid show a watch!
Love it! Reminded me alittle of The Terminal List with Chris Pratt, on Prime. Same vibe. Both Excellent and refreshing shows. Hope they make more seasons.

Na that’s just the same but with bad acting/cgi definitely a downgrade
I thought it was a pretty good show. The leads worked well together and the assassin, Dale, was allowed some very interesting dialogue.

I liked this show a lot better than I did. I like how everything tied together at the end(although I was expecting a tie to the lady's tech company going under). I originally put this on just to have it in the background but I ended up paying full attention to it.

The series was a solid surprise. Was expecting a B level thriller and got something on par with the likes of designated survivor. Good unforced character development.
Great show!! Hope Netflix continues to release these kinds of stories.
I NEED A SEASON 2 Yesterday!
JUST started watching this last night, it's So Good that I had to binge watch 5 episodes last night. Just great acting by everyone, and I especially like Rose & Peter's Chemistry. Sincerely hope that the writer's come up with At Least 2 more Season's with new Action and Adventure with these 2 Same Character's, Rose & Peter, played by #LucianBuchanan and #GabrielBasso. Just a Great Story Line, with Great Acting. Awesome Review! - Bill

I'm one of the few that enjoyed this. Sure some lines were forced and some plotholes, but I still enjoyed it. The show has been criticized on Reddit and Rotten Tomatoes as "24 from Wish" but screw that, I love it.
Amazing that 3 actors from this show were also in the excellent sci fi show 'Debris' back in 2021. It was unfortunate that it got cancelled.
Such an unassuming banger of a show. I was not at all expecting to like it as much as I did. I understand it might not be perfect but I think it serves its purpose better than most shows do. I think Netflix should up their marketing game because if I wasn’t so bored I wouldn’t of known to watch this. I didn’t like the fact that Peter after saying all he wants to do is retire to Cali with rose would chose to become a night agent. Maybe his dads confession influenced him but I think it’s more likely that the suits and Netflix wanted to leave it open for a second season. I doubt they will be able to keep the same relationship going with rose if he is meant to be an agent somewhere. Tbh I would appreciate a solid ending and them spending the money on a new show.

Good recap of a top 10 Netflix series of all time. Character development was exceptional. Some action scenes had big flaws, e.g., when Rose exits the car to evade being murdered she doesn't hide from the hit team, letting them pass. She shows herself by running down the middle of an empty street, as if to say, "catch me if you can". That was ridiculous! She is the most intelligent so why would she do that? I cringed seeing that badly written/directed scene.
I enjoyed the show. But I didn’t like how much focus they put into that killer couple. I didn’t need to see any of their stories. It was pointless to show so much of their relationship.
I loved it it gave me night manager vibes which is funny considering that they both have the word night in their title 😂

Show has a nice 24 vibe to it. every character played there role to a tee, that seems to be rare for new Netflix shows these days.
Wonder if the last name Sutherland was a nod to jack bauer’s actor. Made me wanna start 24 all over again.

I wanted to watch the series, but immediately noticed that it was the American version of bodyguard, with an actor that isn't that good of an actor. Should I still try to watch it fully? Seems like it would be better to just rewatch bodyguard.

What a show brilliant from start to finish had you guessing etc & who to trust? Was Peter’s father innocent or not? & the old lady that the two killers broke into her home said she lasted hours before confessing. What a great show just came across it other nite I’ve been hooked ever since. Hope there is a season 2

He was guilty. Government was going to turn him into a double agent.

Liked the show. However, I hope it doesn't turn into a rush job if there's a S2 coming. And, don't make things too "unblieveable", i.e. the Camp David fiasco. Otherwise, nice lllloooonnngggg movie. :)

I just finished this show in one go (which is really bad!) but I've enjoyed the casting and the subtle work on modern psychological themes such as gaslighting. As a plot it's quite good - i tried to look for an answer as to how did Peter Suderland suddenly realised that Farr was the mole? I didn't fully understand that scene!
Because she mentioned his friend Cisco, who was with Rose at the time. He hadn't mentioned him so he knew Farr was the one who had them under surveillance.

Excellent series firmly in the tradition of other great spy stories.
I thought the premise of the metro bomb was a bit of a stretch, and the actor playing the VP was not convincing in portraying his motivation for plotting it - if the writers had focused more on his ambitions to become the President as the prime driver, that might be more credible. I like Hong Chau in her other recent roles (The Menu / Whale) but her going to the other side just to "protect the President" was not enough to provide a credible explanation of her actions and that came across in her portrayal of her role - she was hamstrung by the writing here; it would have worked better if they have expanded on a stronger emotional connection between her and the President. The actors playing Peter Jnr and Rose did a decent job to carry the lead roles but the chemistry between them was so lacking that they should have removed the romance - the banter and eventual kiss appeared very contrived and cringey.
100% not sure where these 10/10 ratings are coming from but the show was simply predictable and mildly entertaining. Most of the plot was so far fetched that it became a pure comedy at times. I literally laughed out loud when Peter leapt out of a bush, shot the secret service agent amongst a group of elite protectors who were supposed to be looking for threats and somehow took the president hostage in one motion lol
It’s getting hard for political thrillers because so much that, in the past, that was scandalous or something to be killed over is just out in the open now and nobody cares because of our division and manipulation of the growing number of morons. I remember movies where proof of an affair, an illegitimate child or corruption that caused a toxic event, would be covered up at any cost and people killed. They talk about hearings and “we’re all going down if this comes out” like it’s something that would actually happen or have consequences in real life. It seems our checks and balances still work in fiction…lol
After watching the first episode, I decided to check out the book. Watching the second episode and noticing all the WOK changes made I knew I wasn't going to like it. I was right. Our hero, Peter was such a wimp. How this guy could ever become a FBI agent, I don't know. The girl who he is supposed to protect, makes all the decisions regarding their investigations, and even rescues him when ever he gets into a fight. The men are portrayed as complete idiots, while all the women and strong and competent. By the way, the President in the book is male. If there is a second season, Peter can't possible last one episode, without having a female bodyguard.
Peter was the one doing most of the work in those fights. Some of them he did handle by himself. It's not like Rose was fighting them for him. She got like one hit in every time, and that was it. The scene where the female assassin was sniping at them? It actually made sense for Rose to jump in there because she could actually get close to her.
