I’ve always loved this track but only recently heard the Buckingham Nicks demo. It’s amazing what Stevie can do w her voice, singing the lower part and Sheryl taking the high harmony. Lovely.
Listen to Marilyn Martin’s (sometimes bk up singer for Stevie) version from the movie “Streets of Fire.” Stevie does heavy backup on it. It’s my 2nd favorite after this version (album edit - this version is radio/video edit, & is cut to short.)
Written in 1972, but ended up first released on the soundtrack to the bombastic 1984 Walter Hill musical “Streets of Fire”, performed by Marilyn Martin. The song just oozes Stevie Nicks, regardless of who it is performed by.
Stevie Nicks was an excellent performer in 1975 when she first hit the stage. I'm no expert, but after 35 years she can glance at the camera and steal your heart. Then there is her voice... she's a siren, a forest child, a wood pixie, a nymph, a fairy. Beautiful then, spectacular still.
Sheryl Crow is amazing in her own right, too..... Great singer/songwriter... but when you're in a video with Stevie, forget it, Stevie's light just takes right over....
Oh god just discovered this video of Stevie and Cheryl. Love it, she can still hit the high notes like back in the 70's like when she lost herself in concert. She's still so pretty and just wraps u in her magic web when she sings. She's timeless. U go girl, NEVER STOP!
It was Sheryl herself - as producer and friend - who encouraged Stevie to reach for those high notes again, as evidenced on this song. She got results and the song is great!
I'd like to think she left some of her magic in the places she spent her youth. Some of those buildings, streets and gardens are part of my life as well.
I discovered this song from streets of fire. Thank you for mentioning that Stevie nicks wrote this. Someone mentioned it below the Marilyn Martin video.
She not only has a fantastic voice she was 56 years old when they did this song! I couldn't believe it when they zoomed in on her face that woman has no wrinkles? And she's never had plastic surgery!! 70 years old now! she looks fantastic she doesn't age! 🙏❤️🙏
Bondo and a putty knife with a light wet sanding six hundred grit. Then apply makeup as usual. Tell your wife, she'll love you for it! Remember, I've got your back. God bless.
Stevie is a Legend. She's recorded so many great songs it's truly mind boggling. She's not bad on the eyes either. And I'm pretty sure that practically every dude (and some women) in the 80's was in love with her, practically every woman (and some dudes) wanted to be her, and practically every female pop singer ( and some male ones? George Michael? Prince? Michael Jackson?) tried to mimic her voice. Stevie you're fire! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Absolutely! I'd marry her tomorrow still today if she would have me. I'm a guitarist and I have crushed on her since Rumors came out when I was very young!!!
The Buckingham Nicks album is fantastic. I like it better than most of Fleetwood Macks collection. This shows that great music never dies, no matter how obscure!
Agreed. Stevie has always been a beautiful woman, but she had periods when she looked better than others. Personally, I think Stevie looked better in her 50s than she did during her Rock A Little era.
This is the era i found her and loved her since the practical magic soundtrack trouble in shangri la is the album i first had and she was so beautifl come back better then ever xo
Thanks again. You were recording in Chicago-pardon-performing a concert. You sent a song be still child or something along those lines. Thank you sweet lady of my heart.
I love this song and everything she sings! I love her voice! 😀😀😀😆😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
I saw Stevie Nicks live back in 2016 at Madison Square Garden. Marilyn Martin was doing back up vocals at that show. I really was hoping she would do "Sorcerer" with her as a duet at that show. I first fell in love with this song when it appeared on the Streets of Fire soundtrack in 1984. Marilyn's version remains my favourite to this day.
Come over and put you on ice,,, like your black darkness,,, foloow me down the lady on the mountain,, enough said... Stevie Nicks is more then a godess shes the supreme,, thank you so much for all the amazing music from you over the years ...
I just recently found this song and I swear it takes me on a trip every time between the mesmerizing instrumentals and the BEAUTIFUL higher and lower part harmonies 🥵😮💨
This song was the genesis for art and writing for me from the time I was a small child. It took me years to figure out what song it was, because all I remembered were the images that it put in my head. So excited to have found it again. It's been a part of my life for so long that it's literally entwined with my psyche. Stevie is incredibly powerful.
There is not a video screen big enough for these two Rock Queens to be on.
So well said and accurate. The world is so blessed by the artistry of these 2 legends
Literally. The lady from The Mountain. Thanks :)
Man and Woman on a star stream, in the middle of a snow dream. Sorcerer, show me the high life. Come over…..let me put you …on ice….
ok...
I’ve always loved this track but only recently heard the Buckingham Nicks demo. It’s amazing what Stevie can do w her voice, singing the lower part and Sheryl taking the high harmony. Lovely.
YES
Hey me too , I just love the original version but this version you gotta love it too!
Listen to Marilyn Martin’s (sometimes bk up singer for Stevie) version from the movie “Streets of Fire.” Stevie does heavy backup on it. It’s my 2nd favorite after this version (album edit - this version is radio/video edit, & is cut to short.)
She has the most incredible voice of any singer
Frozen Love….
What must have Sheryl thought when Stevie Nicks asked to sing with her???? They are GREAT together but WOW... what an honor!

Stevie Nicks truly is the White Witch, ever-enchanting, ever-inspiring.
You got it Waxworker spot on! But only people like us know!!!
Stevie has been my Goddess since I was a child. I grew up on Fleetwood Mac 💜
100% Agree
Stevie is an enchantress. Her voice is mystical and her looks can melt.
Stevie Glows here. They are both so amazingly talented and beautiful.

Oh Stevie, your melodies, your lyrics, your voice.... they've cast a spell on me. Oh my soul! The Musical Sorceress has struck!!
It’s satanic.
Love these two iconic women singing this song
Sheryl Crow is amazing in her own right, too..... Great singer/songwriter... but when you're in a video with Stevie, forget it, Stevie's light just takes right over....
Sheryl and Stevie harmonize amazingly well. it sounds like one beautiful voice when they both sing.
A match made in Heaven.👌🎼
exactly!!!
Sheryl and Stevie should record an entire album together!!
Agree!
I sent this to my friend to inspire us to sing together again!
They did! ITS " TROUBLE IN SHANGRALA"!
@@judetheneilyounggirl2358 They shared some perfomances and productions of tracks in this album. But it's not entirely Crow + NIcks (great album btw)
@@bryanariza1063 I agree too

❤
It's Sheryl babe. If u have not listen to safe and sound by her it's a gem . First heard it in the film white oleander
I was mistaken. It's from 1974.
I thought 1976.
I'd like to think she left some of her magic in the places she spent her youth. Some of those buildings, streets and gardens are part of my life as well.
Stevie you are an enchantress.
Yes!!!
Yes she is an enchantress woman
Stevie is timeless! Cheryl & Stevie looks stunning.
Always has always will in My heart 💜❤️
Stevie's a magician she bewitched me with sara, dreams, little lies, can take your own way, and so on and on
Jose19959 can take your own way
Little lies = christine mcvie
Their voices are so amazing together. Nothing like a good duet.
I discovered this song from streets of fire. Thank you for mentioning that Stevie nicks wrote this. Someone mentioned it below the Marilyn Martin video.
Their voices blend so well
I will always have a love for the Oracle and Sheryl Crow
One of Stevie's best. Love she is playing with Sheryl too!
Over ten years later and this video is MORE powerful than when it debuted. I love this!
Stevie is a favorite but until now I had no idea Sheryl Crow was in on this one.
Cannot get this song out of my head.
This restored version of Stevies 1970s restored version of sorcerer is a great as music gets
She not only has a fantastic voice she was 56 years old when they did this song! I couldn't believe it when they zoomed in on her face that woman has no wrinkles? And she's never had plastic surgery!! 70 years old now! she looks fantastic she doesn't age! 🙏❤️🙏
73 in 9 Days!
Pure and beautiful 😍😍.
She was actually 53 in video from 2001. But yes, she is stunning here.

@@flashwashington2735no way! Are you joking or serious? I know exfoliating is great but a sander and bondo?
Such a haunting song. There's ravenous desperation to this song. Absolutely love it.
btw: I love both Sheryl and Stevie as singers!

Great voice, great writing, wonderful song. Not to mention that Stevie looks absolutely stunning!
What a treat. Two lovely, talented ladies in one video. Awesome song from Stevie. Great harmonies from Sheryl. I love it.
Reigning Queen Of Rock slays on. With songwriting so good and notes so right, the Smiths and Portishead feel contemporary.
This is truly beautiful and I continue to love everything this woman does and adding Sheryl Crow is a cherry on top.
Saw her in concert . One of the best days of my life . Had no idea she was so tiny. In those 1850 dresses too.
The Buckingham Nicks album is fantastic. I like it better than most of Fleetwood Macks collection. This shows that great music never dies, no matter how obscure!
They have very good harmony together and the tune is very good too.
Wish these two would record more music together, They sound so awesome.
Stevie is on one of Sheryl's new songs on her new album...the song is called "Prove you Wrong"
I am a HUGE Stevie Nicks fan and for my birthday, my daughter sent me this song!! Totally HOOKED!!!!
favorite female artist award goes to ms stevie nicks! :)
I think my favorite thing from this video is that Cheryl didn't change her style. She LOOKS like Cheryl but with a witchy touch. I adore it.
I love this song. It subconsciously influenced a book I wrote.
I'm obsessed with this song!! No one like Stevie!!
she's looks beautiful in this video and her voice may be be raspy but it's so uniquely amazing
Agreed. Stevie has always been a beautiful woman, but she had periods when she looked better than others. Personally, I think Stevie looked better in her 50s than she did during her Rock A Little era.

There is a combo you would not expect. Stevie Nicks and Sheryl Crow, but wow does it work.

This song is amazing.
Love this collaboration with Sheryl.
Went to this concert in a little town south of Nashville. She said an unexpected guest was coming out. It was Sheryl Crow. It was awesome.
They've collaborated on a few other things as well, including a song called "If You Ever Did Believe" and a live version of "Gold Dust Woman".
I just recently found this song and I swear it takes me on a trip every time between the mesmerizing instrumentals and the BEAUTIFUL higher and lower part harmonies 🥵😮💨
A wonderful relationship between two friends Sheryl and Stevie,so very talented and both beautiful, this is a magical song
Wow. Speechless x amazing ❤
This song takes me back to my first date with my now husband.
Another one of Stevie’s songs that I must play along with.
