- The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Lower Manhattan has rebooted the iconic Kim's Video experience. When Kim's closed, Alamo purchased its remaining inventory of videos. Now after spending a long time sifting through the stock, Alamo has relaunched Kim's Video as a place to rent these hard-to-find films for free. Yes, for free.

Wow, Kevin Turvey, excited to watch all of that Rik Mayall series now
Wow didnt know they reopened. Kim's was the only place you could find Anime back in the day before Anime became a thing.
I liked everything about Kim’s Video, when it was on St. Marks Place. Fun place to be.
I was there not too long and loved it !!! Didn't realize you could take the titles home !!!!
Why the 90's so soooo good. St. Marks back then was legit. So many good times. Damn.
It was very quirky & eccentric. It really fit in well with the east village vibe. I think they had a mannequin with a cop hat, that reminded me of Poison from Final Fight. It had a really cool 80s/90s aesthetic.
