some people pointed out that i’m not actually “moving” yet so i changed the title! i meant i’m moving out of toronto for a month, possibly longer! sorry if that was unclear, i guess i have a different definition of moving haha
You don’t have to apologise or explain everything. Living in another city for more than few days and having your “home “ feels like moving. And because how happy you seem, I think you’re going to live there for longer haha all the best in this new adventure!!
Here's one thing that I noticed, when talking Amanda doesn't really do eye contact on the camera and keeps looking at her side at the ceiling or wherever except the camera, and it drives me crazy becuase it distracts me from actually listening to what her saying.
Dear Amanda, The biggest thing is this is your life, not ours. You don't really owe us any explanation (although I love knowing why). So please don't feel stressed about having to tell us why. You do what makes you happy. Period. Sincerely, A very old Lil doodle
Changing up your environment is such a great way to find new inspiration and motivation !! Hope this move and change becomes a really great experience Amanda !! 🥰
I am so proud of Amanda she has mentioned for a long time that she has been wanting to move to a new place and the fact that she made that step is amazing x❤️
When you edit comments, the heart will disappear because if someone edits it to say something bad after it’s hearted, it would look like the creator liked something bad :(
She said she is only staying for a month (maybe she will stay longer). This is just a month away from home so she wouldn’t have packed all her belongings.
Fun fact: I’m a tourism major! So officially everything under a year is considered tourism. The official definition is “Tourism comprises the activities of persons travelling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business, and other purposes” Slow travel takes that concept of going to different places and living there for 2/3 months instead of being just a tourist that passes through. That being said of course you have an intention to maybe stay there indefinitely. But I thought it would be a nice to know fact. :D
The biggest lesson I learned in my life was that you don’t owe anyone an explanation about your choices. People who like and support you don’t need it. Like the quote of Dr Seuss said “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” The best wishes for a new adventure!🤗
I was born and raised in Las Vegas and lived there my entire life and in January of last year I moved to Seattle on my own without knowing anyone. It was scary as hell but it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I think there are so many benefits to leaving your hometown even if it’s not permanent. I hope you find what you need there 💕
I went to both of those places before, I moved from Surrey, BC (litterally a city right next to Vancouver) and moved to Calgary, Alberta, and it is scary, I am starting school here in September and this comment is making me feel alright about it.
Wow I’m seriously proud of your decision! And inspired! I lived in nyc my whole life and I really want to move to Seattle. I’ll be on my own but I feel like once I am financially well I’ll safely take the risk. I hope things are still going great over there as well!

A change is often what we need to get new inspiration, soak up new ideas and to challenge ourselves. I left my safe corporate job in Australia, rented out my house and embarked on my adventure before I became too old to make the move. I came to Japan to teach English as it seemed to be the easiest way to fund my adventure. My plan was to stay for two years. Fifteen years later I am still here. It’s been 15 years of joy, meeting wonderful people, teaching amazing students and absorbing an incredible culture. I finally found that teaching is what I should have been doing all along. I’m so grateful to have had this chance. I’m due to retire soon and I will return home once it’s safe to travel. Then to begin the next chapter in my life.
Think about the reasons why you are so much happier. I was recently on vacation and thought the same thing. For me, I decided that it was partly because everything was fresh and clean. Everything was in good order and put away in it's place. So, when I got home, I did a big tidy. Yesterday, I walked into my kitchen and smiled. Everything was clean and tidy. It's going to take some getting used to being hotel fresh every day, but it makes me happy. Before this evaluation, I never knew I liked hotel fresh sooo much. I knew I liked neat and tidy, but hotel fresh, really makes my day! ... Another thing I learned is that I like nice bedding. It seems like I just sleep better. Next vacation I'll, do another evaluation. Is it the location? Is it the amenities? Can I bring those changes to my current home, or do I need a summer and a different winter home? Or do I need to move altogether? But I love where I'm living so my theory is to update where I can until I find something that's a deal breaker. 💖🌞🌵😷
Welcome to Vancouver! The best place to live is the West End, I live a 5 minute walk from Stanley Park and I go there every day! Beaver Lake, Lost Lagoon, the trails, the Great Blue Herons Colony, the ferns, the rhododendrons, oh my gosh you’re gonna love it!

BRAVO TO YOU! Vancouver is one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. Go to Whistler Mountain. It's fab in the winter but WOW. Head over to Victoria. Get on the ferries and see the Islands of Pender and Salt Spring, Island. Enjoy, Enjoy, ENJOY!!
So happy for you!! We all need a little change of even a big change in ur lives!!! See new things, see yourself in a new place… this only can bring good things to you and your life!! Looking forwards for what new chapter of Amanda tell us xx

right? i'm a maritimer in toronto and that drives me crazy, we are geographically more central than anything! the only coast is a lake! lol. everyone will keep saying it though, since it wants to be like actual east-coat US cities.
I love that you really put safety first, and made a conscious choice to acknowledge that we all still need to do our part. With so many folks rushing to zip around and do as they like, it was wonderful to hear you speak so responsibly. So excited for you - I hope this will be an amazing experience!

I LOVE THE EDITINGGGGG
It is so refreshing to see you in a different city. Change of scenery can be so refreshing! Lot of love ❤
wait...didn't you say you aren't moving? But omg I'm so happy for you!!
Even if you only stay there for a month or continue to stay there, it’s always good to have a new start and feel fresh about things. I hope you are doing well Amanda 🤍🥺
WOW! Congrats!!!! This is so exciting!
Don't be scared Amanda. We are all for you. Everything gonna be OK. I am so proud of you 💓💓💓💓💓💓
Vancouver gets very depressing in the winter. If you decide to stay, make sure you get a happy light 🌸
I'm originally from about an hour's drive from Vancouver. I moved to Ireland about 16 years ago, and honestly, I regret not spending more time in the city there. Vancouver's a great place, and I hope you enjoy your time there. ♥
I literally sprinted to my phone when I seen this notification
Yeah same
I think this is perfect for you Amanda!! I remember hearing from your streams that you wondered how would it feel like and I'm glad you are doing it 💗 You got this!!
Congrats on your move! I thought you were moving to a new place!
BRAVO TO YOU! Vancouver is one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. Go to Whistler Mountain. It's fab in the winter but WOW. Head over to Victoria. Get on the ferries and see the Islands of Pender and Salt Spring, Island. Enjoy, Enjoy, ENJOY!!
it's the fastest that I have been hereee
So happy for you!! We all need a little change of even a big change in ur lives!!! See new things, see yourself in a new place… this only can bring good things to you and your life!! Looking forwards for what new chapter of Amanda tell us xx
Wait this is the reason you won’t be doing twitch streams this month!!
Hi! Congratulations on moving!! I'm only a teenager but I've moved twice across the country that I live in currently. At first I missed a lot of my old friends and old life, but it really helps to have an opportunity to start new. Wish you all the best!
Stay safe and happy....we doodles luv u 💖
Traveling and nature are always inspiring me. Enjoy yourself!
The apartment is so cute. I rly think u should move to Vancouver. It's so cute.

Amanda the Airbnb is sooo beautiful! 😍
The view, both of the two bedrooms, the kitchen-living room space and layout are sooo cute, cozy and pretty 😍😍😍
Such an aesthetic home :)
when im planning to study for further undergrad studies in VANCOUVER and amanda saying that she's living in vancouver motivates me to pursue my studies in VANCOUVER
AAHHHHHHHH IMMA CRYYYYYY
AHHHHHH WHAT SHALL I DO .......
Amanda: Toronto is on the East Coast of Canada
Me in Halifax: uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Right... that was so west coast of her to say that Toronto is East coast. Haha
right? i'm a maritimer in toronto and that drives me crazy, we are geographically more central than anything! the only coast is a lake! lol. everyone will keep saying it though, since it wants to be like actual east-coat US cities.
I love that you really put safety first, and made a conscious choice to acknowledge that we all still need to do our part. With so many folks rushing to zip around and do as they like, it was wonderful to hear you speak so responsibly. So excited for you - I hope this will be an amazing experience!
Only the real ones remember when she went to the LUSH factory in Vancouver
Amanada is soo aesthetic and managed to balance her life along💖 take your time amanda, lil doodles will always support you
So now new a WHOLE NEW CITY FOR STORING AMANDA'S STATIONARY!! 😭😍✨(jk)
Proud of you!!
I’m not complaining about you being in the same time zone as me! I hope the change in scenery helps you feel rejuvenated
