You produced one of if not the BEST videos introducing an American historical treasure here. Great choice of music for such a video tour as well. The people who are laid to rest here would be very pleased with you. Well done. Let’s not forget the value of this place and those who rest here.

Me too but never really been there. That is going to change. I know people who are buried there. I will go pay my respects and spend hours traversing the grounds. I lived in Cleveland Heights when I was younger then my family moved to Lake County in the mid 70's. I have never seen a more beautiful cemetery and many are bland. I take a lot of u-tube tours to many cemeteries lately. I would have never believe I would do such a year or two ago. Go figure!

Thank you for taking us through history and respecting the hollowed ground of the rich, the famous, the commoners and the poor. History is not of today, it is told by the ones who have left us.

Two other notable graves are the Collinwood School fire victims (172 children died in a fire) and comic book writer Harvey Pekar. It is difficult to tell from the video, but you cannot stress how pretty this cemetery is. Oh, and the Haserot angel statue is perhaps the scariest statue I have seen.

Section 12 in front of the Garfield I have great, and great great grandparents from Dunse Scotland. I learned if you go to the office you can get a list of everyone buried in the family plot that don't always have a marker. Like babies and young children buried atop older relatives graves.

It's a shame the Garfield monument was closed. The view from the balcony is spectacular. His house in Mentor is also worth a visit, though which tour guide you get can make a huge difference.
Love to see my local history :)
Quick suggestion though, may want to use a higher contrast color for you caption font, like red or black, or at least a black stroke. It blended into the background a little too well for my eyes.

The monument is open this year from May to October 2022. We went today and it is a beautiful monument. Stained glass, mosiac tile floors and decor. Worth seeing while visiting this spectacular cemetary.

The reason that school doors have crash bars is due to the Collinwood School Fire of 1908 (the worst school fire in US history), and the Cenotaph and mass grave are at Lakeview Cemetary.

I really enjoy your content, but the subtitles are very hard to read. I get you want to show as much of the site as possible, but perhaps a black or gray bar behind the white text would make the subtitles more readable and increase the contrast. Keep up the great work!

Amasa Stone is also the father of Flora Mather, a founding philanthropist and married to Samuel Mather, of the remounded Mather family and a leading industrialist. One of the main reasons Amasa Stone killed himself was the death of his only son in a drowning accident while away at college.
The very first outdoor lamp, a Brush arc lamp, was installed on the corner of Ontario & Public Square. A replica is attached to the old Society Building (where the original stood)
Marcus Hanna, John D Rockefeller and Laura Spellman Rockefeller all went to High School together.
You need more than a few days to visit. It's a stunning cemetary with many unique monuments. One of the most poignant is the Collinwood Memorial School Fire cenotaph and mass grave by the Euclid Avenue entrance.
