Combine Slayer and Testament and you will get Lovebitten Break The Wall madness - gotta love it. Miho wrote this and Miyako added her flavour-composed her solo with Gary Moore in mind. Thrash metal masterpiece for sure-every thrash song they made is pure gold
One of my absolute favorites of theirs. I think it is the greatest thrash song ever written. When they lean into thrash, few can do it better. I wish they would do it more!
Thanks for the reaction bro, you can really see the Garry Moore influence with Miyako in that song, it was unreal she is such a gem, so was Midori's solo, but what more would you expect from these beautiful women, cheers bro Tim from Australia 🦘
Lovebites, breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Several influences in this song, including Deep Purple. Miho, the naturally born headbanger. And again, somebody said that brutality has never been so gorgeous.
My favourite Lovebites song and thank you, thank you, thank you for not pausing between Midori’s and Miyako’s solos, it just ruins the flow when people do that ;) I just love Miho’s bass tones in this song, especially between the two solos, it is so tasty.
This one is one of their thrash masterpiece songs. It has definitely a Slayer vibe to this one with a Gary Moore inspired Miyako guitar solo. One of the few times I see her playing a Les Paul guitar. I thought you had already done this one, this one would have gone on the list.
Happy New Year, I'm also a fan of LOVEBITES . No matter how many songs I listen to, I'm always surprised at how great they are. I think their musicality and energy should be more recognized around the world. They've already scheduled a Mexico tour in 2025, but I hope Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and Metallica will invite them on tour in the second half of the year.
The 3rd song I did hear and see of LB and addicted since. This is still my favorite song and I wake up everyday with it. My nickname is Mr. BtW 😊 The duet between Asami and Miyako screaming guitar is fabulous. I so so so hope they play it live in the upcoming tour, becayse it way way way to long I heard it live in a concert. February 10th in Osaka, Miyako’s hometown, would be utterly perfect !!
when 2 big pillars of lovebites comes together to create a masterpiece; Rosana Miho, Watanabe Miyako, do you feel the contrast playing their music and musical foundations that they brought since childhood? omg, when will I find them again composing songs like this? kudos for both of them! 😢😢❤❤ p.s. forgot! thanks for your reaction. 😊
I was waiting to see your reaction to this song, my personal all-time favorite live recorded thrash song. I say that as a pure thrash head, my favorite genre of metal (I like all genres). If this came out in the early 80's of thrash, the entire landscape of metal would have changed. But to be fair to the best era of metal, Lovebites has taken most of their inspirations from that era, but turn it into Lovebites metal.
This song take inspiration of a song from a British Punk Band: The Explosion and You can hear the title in the "vertical lyrics" and some melody in the solos: Die by my side (2014). Happy new Year!
As I was looking through your list of Lovebites videos so far, I noticed that you haven't watched this undeservedly rarely recommended great song. But it's a face melting song too. Today is the Day -> th-cam.com/video/ruAm4zTCTn8/w-d-xo.html
Hi Mike, Happy New Year, loved the 24 hour marathon, well done! Re your reference to Nemophila, I'm not sure if you have seen one of their covers and was put off, or if someone suggested Aces High (actually their best Maiden cover was The Trooper, but everyone and their dog has done that one!). Nemophila started off doing covers during the pandemic when they had to record from home, and have a reputation for some inventive ones, but please don't judge them on that alone. They have an impressive body of original work, firstly as a 5 piece band including guitarist Saki, who left earlier in 2024, and they are now successfully reinventing themselves as a 4 piece. Please give them a shot in the New Year. I suggest a live track, such as Seize the Fate or Revive, then MVs including Dissension. In my opinion Nemophila are one of the elite top 3 Japanese female bands, the other two being Lovebites of course and Band-Maid. Each have their own style, and Nemophila's is quite diverse, plus they have a very unusual vocalist! Cheers.
Actually, I'll add a further recommendation, a bit closer to home - Nemophila, Revive, at House of Blues, San Diego. th-cam.com/video/t2eMoKvsvBE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IlyECvO5dKS_7dUs
One of the best thrash tracks I have ever heard. I can't sit still through this. ha ha
LOVEBITES - Break The Wall lyrics & credits:
(DIE) No sign of my time
Cause I wish to live another life
(BY) Who will save my poor soul?
Crying alone in a dim hole
(MY) Can't believe it's real
Cause in the end, everything is gone
(SIDE) How should I live from now?
Find myself staring at the walls
Tonight, I'll break the wall
It's now or never
Now, I'm on my own
I've gotta get free
Bite, I'll break the chain
Run to my shelter
Make it out alive
I have to break through the wall
(DIE)
No sign of my crime
Got my scars during wartime
(BY)
Who's the one that did it
Deadly venom eating me inside
(MY)
Spent my life in vain
I can't forget everything I've done
(SIDE)
I swear to my hatred
Find myself staring at the walls
Tonight, I'll break the wall
It's now or never
Now, I'm on my own
I've gotta get free
Bite, I'll break the chain
Run to my shelter
Make it out alive
I have to break through the wall
SOLO: midori / miyako
(DIE)
No sign of my time
Cause I wish to live another life
(BY)
Who will save my poor soul?
Crying alone in a dim hole
(MY)
Can't believe it's real
Cause in the end, everything is gone
(SIDE)
How should I live from now?
Find myself staring at the walls
Tonight, I'll break the wall
It's now or never
Now, I'm on my own
I've gotta get free
Bite, I'll break the chain
Run to my shelter
Make it out alive
I have to break through the-
I have to break through the-
I have to break through the wall

So thrashy. Love it. Slayeresque vibe. Miyako channeling Gary Moore
🎄HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS!!! 🤘❤🔥💯👍👍👍

Love this track. 👌💪🔥Miyako with her Les Paul 🔥🔥
A thrash metal masterpiece, I could listen to this a thousand times and enjoy the heck out of every moment of it. 🔥🤘🐺🤘🔥

you guys are not taking a break‥‥
asami ❤👍
Miyako’s solo is as close as you can get to an impression of Gary Moore without the constipation faces.
I told you that you would like this one. it's about as thrash as you can get ala Big Four era.

Nemophila’s Hazuki also with exceptional playing in the Li-sa-X Band and KOIAI.

The Miyako's solo remember me one's greatest guitarist in the World: Jan Akkerman (Focus band). Find "Sylvia"!
Huh?
