In this video, we look at the specific enzymes found in the digestive system. We start by looking at the lock and key theory which explains why enzymes are specific. We then look at each of the three enzymes in digestion.
This video is based on the AQA spec. If you are following a different exam board then you should check your specification. The Amazon link above is an affiliate link. @@mariahussain3584 how would that even work? Does he cover the whole spec and just replace the teachers for like a week?
There’s no more space on his shelf of awardstaking up half of his wall
This 4 minute video helped me more than my 40 minute class 😂
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

teachers just give the question, videos show and talk through it=that's why.

Ended up with an A* in Biology, an A in physics and an A in chemistry, thanks for the revision vids ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
how did you revise ????
I just did my mocks (Probably same as you) and I got 6 biology, 6 chemistry and 7 physics and I can say that making notes after watching videos, then highlighting them works, then doing the specimen papers given by your exam board.
Adrian Secareanu lol doing same type of revision here
Adrian Secareanu d
molly Jarvis, ben graham literally just told you how. by watching the videos
1:02 I’ve lived long enough to know that that’s pac man

Modle Gaming lmao sorry i can’t like you have 69 likes
why don't teachers use videos of people who know what they are doing, we would plough through the syllabus much quicker and we can actually understand it better.
A T303 my teacher made us watch this in class and it was so helpful :) this guy is a lifesaver for gcse
My teacher doesnt teach us, just makes us watch him for the whole lesson lol
@@bldsxcca i wanna do that too smh
@@bldsxcca I wish we did that lol
@@bldsxcca lucky we spend 45mins on some shit i can't remember and doesn't help as much as this
I've learnt more in this 4min video than i have doing 2 hours of science today. Thank youuuu
what did you get GCSEs?
@@zygote4786 how about u? What did u get
The video is like 4 minutes long but i did over 2 pages of notes help. Love your videos, your the reason im not failing my sciences bro
these videos are concise and perfectly on spec, ive had to learn the whole of the biology by myself (moved schools and they taught it the previous year). By using mostly your videos ive been getting 7s and 8s in my mocks, thank you!!
Like if Shawn is better than any of your science teachers

I barely paid attention in my biology/chemistry lessons because well you knwo they the "boring" branches of science I always used to get grade 7's in my physics and 4/5's in my chemistry and biology but using your vids I got a 8 in bio :) (solely watching your vids too and in my recent mock I picked myself a free grade 8 lol)
The one channel that can never die
what I love about these, are they are straight go the point and yet so detailed with such little explanation. get this man an award
1:02 that's not an enzyme that's Pacman
So true
Omg 😂😂
You are a legend! Only plz return to the old music.
Did mocks before Xmas and got a 6 for my science paper I only revised for half a week by watching your vids. Doing end of year mocks now so hopefully these vids will help me out once again! Thanks Shawn
Did it help?
Honestly, Thank you for everything. I had no idea about the lock and key theory because my brain is a bit slow. I learn very slowly and science isn't my best subject despite wanting to pursue a science career. I love science and biology especially. You helped me gain confidence even though I had lost it all. Thank you.
Thank you for your comment, I appreciate it. I'm glad that my videos are helping and I wish you the best for your exams. I hope that you get the grades that you want.
@@Freesciencelessons thank you
@@Freesciencelessons I also wanted to ask like I said b4 I want a job in science do you have any advice?

The day before my GCSE Biology Exam wish me luck.
I'll tell you how it went 😂✌
Do you generally find the enzyme where the highest concentration of its substrate is? For instance you mentioned in the video at 3:13 that lipase is found in the pancreatic fluid and small intestine. Does the mean that most lipids are found in the small intestine and pancreas?
No, all of the different food molecules are present at the start and then make their way through the digestive system. At each stage, different digestive enzymes act. This is often because a) They require specific conditions eg pH or b) They digest a molecule that is produced by an enzyme at an earlier stage. A good example of the second is proteins. In the stomach, they are digested into smaller fragments but later, in the small intestine, those smaller fragments are digested to amino acids. I hope that answers your question.
Who’s hear after only a 1 mark question on this…?
