I would say golden era of tamil cinema was from 80 to 2010...best directors, actors, music composers, choreographers, stunt directors, cinematographers, editors, and other technicians were rose and shining this period....
the thing that a r rahman packs in so much detail in the songs as far as combining different beats and strings in the tune of the song along with fhhe rhythm and vocals add up to it makes it very balanced mix and an amazing work by the musician
This music is nostalgic although I was used to hearing the Hindi version before this.
