Saw this lineup at The Viper Room in Hollywood a few years ago. What a fucking rocking show !!!!!!! Meet and greet with Marty was awesome, totally down to earth dude, and fan of music fans. Looking forward to seeing these guys live again !!!!!!
I caught Marty live on his Wall Of Sound Tour I think it was in jersey. I got to meet him live in person !! Dude's so down to earth had a picture taken with him ! I was wearing my 2Sided made up shirt of Marty. He said now thats one cool shirt. I just wish I could find that picture taken of us to post !
Came to see the arpeggio part to see if Marty was for real when he said he doesn’t sweep at all. He wasn’t lying 😮 (also Jordan’s saggy tone was perfect for the dragon’s kiss sound)
If you listen to some of his albums. You can definitely hear the similar style both he & Jason Becker have ! I just wish Becker was still able to play the guitar like he did. JASON BECKER BABY !! GOTTA LOVE THAT MAN !!
this is incredible footage and AUDIO is second to none !! Dragon Mistress blew my F'In Mind - it is SO GOOD - SHREDIN GOOD TIMES. was this taped at the VIP pre-party ? AUDIO is PERFECT !! my highest compliments \m/

That later slowdown has to be influenced by uli jon roth ill be there off of the beyond the astral skies album by electric sun. I wish i could meet Marty to ask him
No dynamics, no feeling, same old pentatonic stuff...just like Zakk...ROTFL Somebody actually said this to me a few weeks ago. All because Marty isn't a big Hendrix fan...HOW DARE HIM!!! Seriously though, I am not either...I recognize his influence on others, and even those who have influenced me...as does Marty. But all of my top 5 favorites, which includes Marty, do not cite Jimi as an influence. Sacrilege...we all should burn in hell!!! Also, music is not subjective...let that marinate for a second or four. WHACK JOBS...lol...these people actually exist and are ready to sick the dogs. Nicely done guys, there isn't a lot of room for error with that super dry tone. 👍👍
I doubt that very much. He'd be doing highly technical trade offs. He was the more technical of the two and the faster speed picker.. When Marty first met Jason he learned all his stuff in a couple days and at 17 played it better than him at 17 years old. This came from an interview. In stage he'd play fast technical stuff with one hand, and do yo yo tricks with the other. Marty said "No one could play better than that dude" "Mosart status"
Who cares about the bass line? It's there to hold down the guitar work of Marties playing.,, It's an accompanyment. Marty played that himself when he wrote it. The focus is all guitar in the 80's not the bass. It was guitar hero not bass hero.

When I first heard them play I couldn't tell who was who at first until I realized that Jason was the faster one.
I was able to professionally record this after Marty saw my with my other videos.
