    My favourite tip was buying deep discounted items on clearance. Such good value and like you said, if they go in the freezer, you can live off them for months. My favourite money saver for food is to freeze all the little leftovers - like chopping up and freezing leftover herbs or chillies - because they are expensive ingredients but the leftovers can make all the difference to jazz up a storecupboard meal you might make in the future!

    You may add the option of restaurant depo. It will save you a lot. For example you can buy chicken leg quarter for 50 cents/lb but you have to buy 40 lbs packet as well. There is a day pass available who does not have membership.
