He's been in radio since he was 18 thats how🤯🤭😂 honestly though he was smart enough to spot Ant's talent and hook him up with a job. He just lost sight of what he was supposed to be and refused to grow into his role.
I only know O&A from TH-cam but it does seem like opie put together a lot good shit for the show like bringing in patrice when they booked Dr. Z, and also giving Anthony a career. But he just wasn't funny or entertaining to listen to. If he was humble enough to just sit back off mic and produce the show he would've been fine
@@ketongu op didnt bring in Patrice, jim did. Opie spotted ants talent and they clicked but in the later years op just couldn't take his role as the straight man. He got mad at the lack of attention and recognition but with a 3 million a year salary who the fuck needs it. He could have continued booking interesting guests and brought funny clips and shit, sat back and kept it moving but he got jealous of Ants charisma. Ant had a cavalcade of flaws and faults but the fans largely let him skate on it bc he was funny and personable. The staff didnt bad mouth him bc he wasnt a nightmare to work for. Op just got bitter and took on shades and shadows of his mothers mental illness in his later years from the looks of it. Thankfully we still have the good ole days and now the pure joy of no&a.
Always thought the Opie hate was overstated until this channel. I mean I knew the amount of phone calls he took was ridiculous, but never realized how much that idiot really detracted from the show with his interrupting. The dynamic between Louis, Anthony, Patrice, and Jim is still the greatest radio to this day. Thanks for the good work
I can bet money it was a still from a film or skit Patrice was on. America's most wanted were freakishly good at stopping the playing footage to make whomever the criminal was look like a total scumbag XD
And people say this kinda thing is new, it's been around since the 90's at least. Just now they have Twitter to complain on instead of having to actually have some pull or write out a letter to someone that will just get thrown out.
I usually hate Norton but his MERLE bit made me laugh like a goon. LMAO this is such a great segment, it's a shame this style of comedy is essentially banned now.
I don't loathe him like lot of others do, but there were definitely times where he was obnoxious or detracted from segments or conversations. My biggest issue personally was times when he would barrel over what other people are saying, or how he would repeat himself so many times during certain events, such as during radio feuds, or when someone else is trying to talk. He does have his moments in my opinion, even if those can be few and far between. Anarchy Radio I thought he did a pretty good job there, Tammy Faye he was on-point with Anthony taking the role of Larry King. Wasn't that bad during Happy Days segment, had me guffawing with one of their Country radio top-10 segments, that Sugarland song.

So incredible how this flows seamlessly without Opie taking calls, talking about his breakfest or his brothers restaurant.
"FH Riley's 400 New York ave in the heart of Huntington village."
@@chilliwraslin2510 Patrice and Ant are timeless. That duo made Opie scared, because he was never as funny as they were
Ya but didn't we all just love hearing Opie say blueberries wrong Everytime hoping it might get a laugh this time
BRUTHA-MAAAAAAN!!!
I don't know, I always miss him taking a call and 25 seconds of "hold on hold on hold on hold on"
The 'You're listening to Anthony' always makes me laugh my ass off. One of the greatest long running trolling efforts of Opie I have seen.
At this point it’s just improving the content not even caring about spiting opie
It always cracks me the fuck up whenever he puts in audio of a train braking on top of Opie saying something stupid
Lol same. The cut off is hilarious
@@elias197859reminds me of when nick mullen called Adam the superhero "screeching halt" u can tell ctown was highly influenced by these gentlemen
I’ve heard this one so many times, but hearing it without NOpie is just so much better. Thank you, good sir, you’re a true hero to all of us.
This guy is single handedly making the greatest radio show in history even better 👏 never stop editing out the hole!
Its so seamless taking opie out of the conversation. How’d he ever get a job

riding on anthonys humor and character

Same...
Two of the greatest comedic minds this century and they hated them for telling the truth of what's funny.
“I’ve never even seen that photo of myself” made me laugh so hard, how long did they dig to find that god awful picture
I can bet money it was a still from a film or skit Patrice was on. America's most wanted were freakishly good at stopping the playing footage to make whomever the criminal was look like a total scumbag XD
In the Future, all we will have to prove Opie’s existence is the un-accounted for laughing in these videos.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That sounds like a beautiful future
Lol yeah when I first discovered O&A a long time ago, I was unknowingly only watching nopie videos and I thought it was the real show haha
It might as well be
Those are two of the funniest pictures I’ve ever seen. What a treat on this gorgeous Friday.
It's Wednesday ....
17:20 and 0:14 is when they make fun of Patrices picture. Keeping this time stamp for myself, it's hilarious
Patrick's photo is just awful 😂 that's so God damn funny hahahah
I hit you harder than that! Spit my drink out moment.
Patrick?? Lolol
Merle...has there ever been a better name for a militant lesbian feminist?
Dude, I wish I grew up with Anthony Radio
Feminists offended, what a twist

Nah there's cumtown
Is it?
This is the first time seeing the photo they talked about. It could have been put on a warrant.
I’d pay good money for that newspaper 😂
Omg yeah, it deserves to be framed
History is written by the Victor.
I hope your name is Victor sir, because you are re-writing history without Opie. And I am a big fan.
Tss tss
Doing the Lord's work sir. Thank you . I've listened to these clips countless times but it's like hearing a new show without Opie.
I love when Anthony and Patrice vibe like this. They both need lightsabers.
18:35 I love how much Patrice was tickled by Jimmy here
Same. Li'l Jimmy was savage here.😅
Everytime a comic is heckled or has a joke questioned, it's always a woman.
What sad, insular world are you living in?

Great choice for a clip! I loved hearing Patrice O'Neal and Louis CK together. They were a great combination.
Patrice - A rival OG is looking up at him in the few seconds of life he has left.
Louis - Looks like Anthony during one of his Obama rants.
Essential material for morning coffee and cigarettes 🚬❤ ☕
finally i can listen to this without opie pretending to be a tough guy wanting whatever broad to call the show
That was amazing my friend COBP
“Excuuussse me”
Lmao
I just noticed the "you're listening to Anthony" at the end. funny
New to the channel, this is beautiful Thank you sir!
That beep contributes more to the show than Opie ever did.
Sir! Youre doing gods work.
I really hope Opie finds out about this channel & and all its positive comments
Patrice's picture is so fucking funny🤣
My 17 yr old is flabbergasted that this allowed to be said on old school radio! 😂
Dude Jimmy is so fucking funny
Best channel on TH-cam!
So funny. Those photos. Damn.
This lead to his fox appearance?
Yes it did
“The nation” lol
They really did Patrice dirty with that picture 😂
Picture perfect.
Yasss mate. Ye're a good man.

He was funny back then. Now he's doesn't have OnA to fall back on so he has to grovel and pretend to be socially conscious

Opie is going to come across this channel one night and cry himself to sleep.
Any chance you have the Happy Days black wedding breakdown? Thanks for doing these!
"Bitch Ive hit you harder than that!" LMAO
Can someone make a compilation of only Opie talking?

Hahaha
For torture?
Crazy how much better the show is when Gregshells wasn't there to disrupt the funny peoples' conversations.
Merle Abzug 🤢🤮
Please Louie Ck with Paul O and Gap the movie.
can you do some without norton
God bless you lol
Damn was Opie that bad? I swear I've listened to tons of their shows and never noticed one of them being more annoying than the other.

When they're on a roll, he distracts interrupts etc...hes not terrible but obviously can't match wits or keep up
I gotta respect that he found the pictures from an article made over a decade ago.
Yo did they take the bin laden nopie away? Was looking last night.
nah i see it. still there.
