Man, this tune makes me want to climb 220 steps only to fall down.
It was 222
@@CaptainBoxtrot 400ish considering he had to climb them twice!
Glad to see John wick brought us all back 🤣
@@justinanderson6287 Ikr, in the theater I was telling my boyfriend as the song started, "Ohh this sounds like Carpenter Brut's stuff, that you introduced to me and we both like. I know another bunch of musicians I can introduce to you this kind of sound" (thinking of Justice in my mind), and as the song continued playing I was like "WAIT A MINUTE this IS Justice!!" :D And smiling the entire track as John Wick climbed and rolled down...... fittingly, to the track ..... XD
222 steps to heaven or hell. Let's rock!
John slowly ascending on the stairs with a horde of assassins was one of the most badass things I have ever seen
Him falling down was one off the funniest things I have ever seen
The only thing that made it better is that it was to this music.

Since 1rst hearing this track 15yrs ago (from some new French Djs I never heard of)? Then shortly afterwards hearing a snippet of it in a really cool Escalade commercial w/Sofia Vergara. Ever since then I knew if I ever wrote or produced a movie, which I do all the time in my day dreams ie alternate fantasy life I enter when I’m bored (I don’t need that meta virtual bs to get to my fantasy life). I knew this was one song that had to be used no matter what in some sequence. I imagined about 100 different sequences over yrs, every time this song came in my rotation. Then john wick 4 came along in 2023 & ruined 15yrs of what I thought was a unique idea, and did it in a way better than even my damn day dreams? Which has an unlimited budget in my head!
the most shit movie I ever saw
The moment I heard this song in the new John Wick movie something in me flipped and I was like “That’s Justice!” And honestly it makes too much sense to be in a movie so action packed.
SAME! I was like woahh Justice??!
BRO. I used to be addicted to this song and then it comes back in the best way imaginable. That was so awesome!
@@WilliamEnclosure Used to listen to the song without realizing in NFS Undercover; song was goated back then, still is now

Many ppl don’t realize this, but this song in particular (this whole album actually, but especially this song), was revolutionary. 2007. These guys were trendsetters, truly ahead of their time, and whether or not it’s admitted, this track was truly influential to many producers, n these guys r part of the reason why electronic music evolved to what it became in the early (n even mid) 2010s. This will b remembered as one of the greats in this genre, decades from now. Truly world-moving and legendary to those who actually appreciate n comprehend the genre
I 'member. I was bitching to shit and back that they released trailers, got me hooked.
Big fax
this album is for sure one of the greatest releases in the entire pantheon of electronic music, and like you said it had a huge effect on other producers; Skrillex for example admitted that after hearing this album shortly after it released he tried really hard to sound like Justice for the next 3 years

This song was the last thing I expected from a John Wick gun fight while trying to climb up over 200 steps in Paris
Really? When I heard it, I thought "Huh, this song really makes sense."
The dark, sinister undertones of this track are just incredible - it gives me goosebumps every time I hear it, especially that menacing opening. If I ever need to psyche myself up for something major and get my adrenalin going, this is perfect for it.
The manacing opening is a sample from the Japanese Godzilla movie in the 90s "Akira Ifukube - Gojira Tai Mosura" just pitched down lol.
Not dark and sinister stuff though? Right..?
@@mainomai no of course not!
this track was actually made for the need for speed most wanted game in 2005. its made to be heard as you drive a virtual car. but the movie really made it go well with a fight scene.

oh i miss the days where this sound was everywhere...gotta love the oldschool french house sound. its so fucking badass
+Anthony Price It's not old skool french touch House (look up french touch house, different in so many ways). This is more the Electro House sound that Ed Banger was championing at the time, which did have its influences in the French Electro House sound (you only have to listen to Daft Punk's "Discovery" to hear that cut up Electro meets big room house type sound to get an idea, but there is way more to it than Daft Punk, just one artist group amongst many others).

the eerie atmosphere in Justice/Gesaffelstein/Carpenter Brut-type songs is really something, nowadays i mostly see "evil edits" which in a sense makes it hella underappreciated

To think that this kind of masterpiece was contempory to Daft punk is unbelievable. You rarely have several artists that influencal at the same time from the same country.
Except it not that rare? It actually extremely common for many different artist of the same genre of music to be very influential. I mean, most rock, metal and other very influential group operated around the same time.
