What happened so far in the story: Act 1- Denial you enrolled in college, became great friends with a professor there (the narrator, called Academic) and found a symbol in a bunch of ancient cultures. Together, you both studied this symbol, and decided to call it "Iron Crown" (the stress icon). Act 2- Ressentment You became to eager to build a reputation with this reasearch and wanted to publish it, but the Academic demanded you to remain silent about it, as it was very premature, the research could be ridiculed or even stolen. You obeyed him, but started forming resentment towards him, as you mistook his caution with a lack of confidence. A fire broke out in the library where all your research material was stored, but a letter ended up arriving to you. Act 3- Obssession The letter directed you to a house in the countryside, where the Ancestor from the first game welcomed you and presented to you a bunch of people who were also researching the Iron Crown. But the problem is, these people weren't just sharing their research, they went as far as to perform rituals. As night approached and you went to sleep, the Academic noticed how the room you'd both sleep in was very vulnerable, specially in a house with a bunch of weird people, so you both blocked the door with a dresser. The next day, the house was empty and the Ancestor was nowhere to be found, you made your way to the basement and found a failed ritual with the corpses of the other researchers in it. Upon seeing this failed ritual you ended up gaining great inspiration, and became obssessed with it.

I used to be Very anti-DD2 due to the 3D animations and refused to play it.
