My eyes are beginning to be opened. We have thought for a long time that to live in huts, and in rural areas is unsophisticated and primitive, when in fact that may be what makes us African.
Just as being in suits and high risers may be what makes one American, to be amongst ancient architecture is what may make one European, it may be that to be in vast open spaces, at one with nature, in community with each other is what makes one ‘African’.
Living in huts and in rural areas does not need to mean being poor, or a not having access to the internet or healthcare. If these villages can be beautified, serviced with electricity, clean water and health care etc. Then it can be a healthy lifestyle that preserves African heritage. Who says urbanisation is the ‘only way to heaven?’ as the gentleman says?
The pathway forward for African progress may be to re-embrace this mindset, and reimagine what we believe to be good.
This is a brilliant model for other Africans to look at and emulate.

Rural areas can be turned into tourist spots. I have been in Namibia, those people are smart and innovative. Their villages look like towns, with numerous tourist lodges, guesthouses, bed and breakfast inns fitted with modern facilities - tiles, ceiling, wall TV, self-serve mini kitchen with fridge, stove, automatic kettle and private shower. Thats when I realized education means nothing if you cant think innovatively. In Zimbabwe, people are slow learners, old fashioned tradition keeps people behind. Innovation doesnt mean you are snobbish. This is the prevailing thinking in Zimbabwe, people are so anti-progress. Many think the purpose of education is to find a good job. They cant think beyond this point.
You Have said it very well
Say it again Bourne . People think progress will only come when you are working for other people. That's a bad mentality.
I second the notion of empowerment and self-growth in rural tourism. Universities may benefit from such trends in rural and urban planning, sociology, and architectural ideologies.
Another piece of great content ❤
Always great watching your videos. Learning a lot
Thank you so much. I really Appreciate
Thank you 🎉 we are learning a lot from your platform 🎉🎉
"There are many ways to go to heaven"🥺.... I understand what he was trying to say figuratively, but literally "there's only one way to heaven".
Best place to be.. well-done Chief

Great inspiration however the video could not balance a tour for viewers to have a feel of the idea and the place. it dwelt much on encouraging young pple and the community to work.
Perhaps a video of d tour is brewing or in d pipeline (part of d original plan)🤷
Well spotted.
Awesome!🙏

My proposal is, is it possible to do some of the conversations in Shona. We have noticed there are places where you go and we see that people may be more comfortable in speaking Shona, why not. Nesuwo tinenge tichidawo kunzwawo tsanangudzo dzacho in Shona soo that the meaning is not lost in translation. These days munozongonyora zvenyu padenga apa nechirungu asi munhu atsanangura mushe in our local language. It's just a suggestion.
Its not an easy task to do subtitles and also using an international language help content creators alot.
No one goes international with local language even yr revenue will be low when u use local language. It's a matter of being clever
d Kenyans want Swahili. Some others want Shona. What would Gambians have asked for🧐; d Ghanaians🤷? how about Nigerians🤔 - with over 400 different languages🙆♂️
Please accept d language that is more common. One which unites ALL, d majority.
I’m glad that this was made in ‘English’.
Really inspirational n amazing.
(By d way, I found this channel today because a Kenyan married to a Ghanaian recommended a Zimbabwean’s YT channel 🤭)
Accommodate everyone, in love.
One love💞
Ipfungwa yakanaka but English makes him reach a larger audience. Remember Shona is not the only language spoken in Zimbabwe
