    Hi Heidi! ❤️ tip for thoroughly removing oils: after you let the oil blend rest on your hair for the amount of time you wanted, apply conditioner on top and leave-in for 5mins. Rinse out. Remember “like dissolves like” from HS chemistry? The non-polar and mostly positive charge of the conditioner will dissolve the excess oil on top of the hair surface and when you rinse it out, problem solved! You get the most out of the oil treatment without the inconvenience ❤️

    Did Khloe and Kourtney have a partnership with Bed Head??? I don’t know if I believe they actually use any of these products. (Excluding Olaplex). I picture them using Kerastase, or Oribe, Davines?.... a Tresseme product? Nah. Their hair is also their crowning glory. I can’t picture any of them using run of the mill - was
    Once popular but now you can buy at a grocery store- products. I needed to rant. I just recently found your channel after protesting beauty community drama and I am just loving the videos! I’m glad I found you and wish you luck gaining more subscribers! You deserve it! 😃

    Hey Heidi! Have you tried Shakira's hair care routine? I think you have similar type of hair - blonde, natural curly and bleached😂😉 I saw her in her concerts and her hair is always very amazing 🌹🥀🌹🥀 Btw, I would recommend you switching a little the order of the products that you apply. Khloe's routine is my type, but I first apply the oils on dirty hair, which helps the oil penetrate more the hair, then shampoo twice and then you can do the Olaplex treatment, thus making sure that you also got ride of all the oils. But usually natural oils are best applied on dirty hair😉 Huuuugsss🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

    I loooove using Oils on my hair (coconut + olive oil + castor oil) + apple cider vinegar, I put this mix on my hair when is the day to wash it, and leave it for at least 4 hours! Buuuuut if I’m on a hurry, I add some cleansing conditioner on it for 20 min before wash! It helps to remove the oil like magic!

    I use coconut oil or olive oil as a pre poo. I saturate my hair in it for at least 30 minutes and the oils absorb deep into the hair and surround the proteins. This makes them hydrophilic so when your hair gets wet your hair still absorbs the moisture but you avoid the damage that happens when water loosens up your hairs keratin and it rinses away contributing to breakage. I just make sure i wash very well and then condition and rinse very well. Probably not great for finer hair types but is a life changer for people with naturally dry or damaged hair!

  • @walasami9030
    @walasami9030 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I am glad you're trying their hair care routine. I think they are honest that they do every now and then, but I do believe they resort to Keratin system to save the day just like I did recently :P. The issues with oils is it leaves your hair soft yeah on some occasions, but it becomes too oily. Now do not get me wrong oils are good, but I read too much of them aren't great either.

    Holaa bella!! I loved the oil blend i thinl that is key to get a good deep conditioned hair on a budget. Also ofc the OLAPLEX is always awesome. I feel ya feeling that greasy sensation on the hair. That's why i use the oils before the shampoo. Abrazotes 😘

  • @kr16794
    @kr16794 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Try applying the oils on dirty hair first, including the roots to promote hair growth. When it comes to removing the oils, apply conditioner to wet hair from roots to tip for a few mins then rinse out. Then shampoo as normal. Its better for your hair than double shampooing. Then go in with olaplex and the rest of the routine.

    • @heidiguttenberg
      @heidiguttenberg  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Katie Rotgans thanks so much for the tips! Not sure if Olaplex would absorb correctly if I applied the oils first. And I need conditioning after Olaplex anyway, so I thought that would be the natural order. What do you think Katie?

    • @kr16794
      @kr16794 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@heidiguttenberg Its probably better to do the oils on a different day than the olaplex treatment because its a lot of shampooing. But if your wanting to use both, once you've shampooed the oils off, then go in with your olaplex and then shampoo again. But the oils are best on dirty hair.

    Heidi hola! Nunca me hubiera imaginado que su rutina incluyera una mascarilla casera, sin lugar a dudas los aceites orgánicos son super buenos y el consejo que das es el indicado, dado que lo mejor es dejar que el aceite se seque antes de enjuagar. Yo usaba una mezcla de aceite de coco y aceite de almendras, una vez al mes y lo dejaba toda la noche. El protector de calor con aceite mineral no me gusta, porque tienden a encapsular el pelo y lo pueden resecar.
    By the way, great video!

The best way I’ve tried to remove vegetable oils from hair is saturate the hair with conditioner, massage the hair so the conditioner helps to “dissolve” the oils, then let ir seat on the hair for about 10 minutes, then you rinse and then use a shampoo after. To me this is the best and easiest way to remove the oils without demage the hair

      I’m not really “loyal” or “fan” of one brand. It’s about specific product performance for me. I have tried Olaplex and Kerastase and L’Oreal professional products I haven’t liked, and others that did work for me. I think Olaplex is a product category on its own (at least for now). Not too many direct competitors if you ask me. Although lots of plex this, bond that products have been launched everywhere.

    I always use oils overnight. Never tried it as a conditioner. Not for me. If it works for her, more power to her.

    Its nice that Khloe uses affordable products, but this routine made your hair look greasy and weight down. In my opinion, Kim's routine is still the winner.

    Olaplex is a great product however bedhead is only subpar and does not cruelty free. There are much better products that don't involve animal torture
