Using a faulty charger or a hardware failure in your power bank caused your issue. Not charging an 18W device with a 30W charger. Many of us have been using USB chargers of all capacities for decades. I think introductory physics should let you know that that statement (to charge only with an 18 W charger) is pure nonsense.

Device draws the power that it needs and power supply can provide what is asked or limit it. Even a 100 Watt supply will only provide 12V 1.5A supply if the device only asked for it during handshake/negotiation. If there is an error, that means the device is faulty. Put some more effort in your work before spreading misinformation.
