Video for Exit Ten's 'Resume Ignore' from debut mini album 'This World They'll Drown' out 12th June 2006. www.myspace.com/exitten "The most exciting British metal band for 2006" - Radio 1 Rock Show
My company was hired to do the sound & lighting at a Small Festival in Hitchin, nr Luton somewhere a few years back. These guys only had a small set, but they totally blew my away, their sound was just as good if not better than the headliners Skindred. I've been hooked on Exit Ten ever since, i am so totally getting the new album, oh and yeah amazing video.
it cracks me up that there from reading, i used to live and go to school there but i still work there..its hard to imagine something this awsome coming from there n_n
no that's what makes them different plus ryan is an amazing singer. also if you ever saw them live you would know he's a brilliant frontman who you cannot take your eyes off.
I went to School with the lead singer, used to see him when he was in Ant Salon. Hope they get signed, I heard they were good at Skuzz lauch party in December.
Me neither! :O They're so bassy, very similar to Caliban, but the vocals are soft & very good! When a descent record labell finally opens their eyes wide enough to see the tallent here, they'll be HUGE!
agreed, i love it these supported Crazyfists not too long ago in York (i love Crazyfists but tbh they were appauling that night :P) but i didn't realise i knew this band until they played this song last and i recognised how he sung the chorus love it :)
i see why people say his singing style doesnt fit into the band, cause the band plays a sort of different style, but damn they sound good together, would be cool if they had a back up screamer, and had him as lead vocals, but it is a nice change =D
I don't know how they've got their CD in HMV Stores if they're unsigned, but yeah. I love this song so much! The video is awesome. I wish I could headbang like that. x]
I remember when these guys were on Richard Bransons Rebel Billionaire. The Team Who Chose This Band Won Their Challange And They Opened Up For The Virgin Mobile V Festival.
Same here, i was a tad curious about why he didnt scream cause i figured it might fit with the music better at times but yeah after a few listens i decided its great anyways
what are u talking about the singer is amazing.,.. its a nice change than just screaming bands. seeing them this friday cross fingures i can book it off work.
ive only rediscovered them. i had a chance to see them live for real cheap in some shitty place where i live but for reasons i dont even know, i didnt. now im kicking myself in the bollocks. (double jointed LOL)
that was what they prided themselves on when they first started and now they've gone mainstream and left real metal fans to sit and get used to such shit they feed (until after 12 o clock ofcourse ;) )
nice melodies used by the singer, nice breakdown, unexpected for this style of metal, especially when you have TDWP-like bands that scream loads and poorly, and senselessly bash notes passing them as breakdowns. good stuff
Yeah, at first I didnt like the way he did it either BUT it grows on you and after a while you can see what he's trying to do there (or, what I THINK he's trying to do there); the way he sort of talks some of the words really contrasts with the rest of the song and keeps it from getting stale or repedative AND gives it a unique sound... But that's just my two cents
They are a lot different to what i would usually like. I was expecting deathcore/screamo, though it's an odd mix of breakdowns and the really clean vocals (remind of Placebo somehow) i really like it, good video too. 5 stars.
I guess it all depends what kind of feeling they wanted to get across with the song really. Yeah, a heavier version could do with some screaming... But I love the contrast in the song personally. Haha well thats the great thing about covers; you dont need to use exactly the same instruments... There's a guy named Marco Rodi (personal idol of mine) who does covers of entire songs (guitar line, drums, bass line, etc.) JUST on his bass
Hmmm. I just assumed the band would go & make an appointment with a guy from the record company & arrange a time & place to play their song/album, etc. THANKS! =D
Actually, they had an earlier CD that was just called Exit Ten, but i think u could only get it @ they're gigs. I love the songs on it, but they dont sell it anymore and can only listen to the samples on their site and the crummy live recordings here on pootube
Bloodlust is right; these guys sound nothing like it dies today.. The only real similarity is that they use the same kinds of instruments (guitar, bass, drums, etc =P)
epic tune, i reckon his voice is purely better cos its different, but if you check other songs on their debut there is more screaming if you really need it. on eof my favourite bands of like ever :) xx
True, but I must admit some screaming for the chorus would have been quite nice ^_^! oh well. and yeah I have gotten more and more into the song, a friend of mine really wanted to cover this, but we needed two guitarists and a drummer XD!
How the fuck are Exit Ten not signed yet. Andy Sneap produced there Mini Album and he's worked with Opeth and Killswitch Engage. This is easily there best song/
no way it would suck if they screamed more. Their hair is fine too, seeing as this isnt the 80s anymore. Ryan has a good voice and should use it. I hate when good singers shit up their vocal chords by screaming. they scream enough in their other songs (like softwatch). i wish this was the full song too :(
The drop C tuning, some of the meloidic singing that Howard in KsE does sounds a lot like the way the dude in this band sings it. Even their video's shot similarly. They're definately influenced by them. I've listened to their other stuff and they're not exactly a ripoff. Yeah they do have their own style.
This band is insane! Been listening to the album for a little over two weeks now nonstop
tool r the best band u will EVER see live, even if u dnt like them the live show will blow u away
Just came back from seeing Exit 10, they were insanely good. This song topped off the whole night for me.
The bridge to the end is what makes this so so amazing!!!

no that's what makes them different plus ryan is an amazing singer. also if you ever saw them live you would know he's a brilliant frontman who you cannot take your eyes off.
what a band! everything just sounds mint once it grows on you. The singer loonks pretty awsome as well!
I went to School with the lead singer, used to see him when he was in Ant Salon.
Hope they get signed, I heard they were good at Skuzz lauch party in December.
Whoever did the video had some fantastic effects in there.

Saw them sat night, there singer is awesome.
Me neither! :O They're so bassy, very similar to Caliban, but the vocals are soft & very good! When a descent record labell finally opens their eyes wide enough to see the tallent here, they'll be HUGE!

i see why people say his singing style doesnt fit into the band, cause the band plays a sort of different style, but damn they sound good together, would be cool if they had a back up screamer, and had him as lead vocals, but it is a nice change =D

This song is amazing...
I don't know how they've got their CD in HMV Stores if they're unsigned, but yeah.
I love this song so much!
The video is awesome.
I wish I could headbang like that.
x]
Just saw them live, immense
I remember when these guys were on Richard Bransons Rebel Billionaire. The Team Who Chose This Band Won Their Challange And They Opened Up For The Virgin Mobile V Festival.

The bubble remains firmly intact :)
Same here, i was a tad curious about why he didnt scream cause i figured it might fit with the music better at times but yeah after a few listens i decided its great anyways

i love this type of music but personally i dont like screaming and for this band to come along is great. perfect band for me =]
what are u talking about the singer is amazing.,.. its a nice change than just screaming bands. seeing them this friday cross fingures i can book it off work.
these guys are FREEKING AMAZING =D
first 20 seconds are amazing..
This is actually an edited version of the song, it's longer on the album(s).
ah this song is awsome [=. Here it being played on scuzz all the time :).
i think his vocals bring in a new element to this genre, i dont think it would be exit ten with out this element
ive only rediscovered them. i had a chance to see them live for real cheap in some shitty place where i live but for reasons i dont even know, i didnt. now im kicking myself in the bollocks. (double jointed LOL)
this is effin awesome :D

this is the first time i have heard of them and their music isn't like what i usually listen too. but i really like them!
Heartily agreed
They're unsigned but they are managed. Noise pollution management.
Wouldn't surprise me if they get signed once they release a long playing CD.
there are plenty of bands like this too.
nice melodies used by the singer, nice breakdown, unexpected for this style of metal, especially when you have TDWP-like bands that scream loads and poorly, and senselessly bash notes passing them as breakdowns. good stuff

Sweet! I didn't know that! But come to think of it,- My friend's band are unsigned but they have an ep out at the moment! :D
I guess it all depends what kind of feeling they wanted to get across with the song really. Yeah, a heavier version could do with some screaming... But I love the contrast in the song personally. Yeah - love it

these guys are insane so are their mates LifeBlind !!! there on this somwhere look thm up!!
i couldnt agree more
saw these live WAHOW ;D
Oh right, well they awesome anyway and deserve to be signed:-)
sickest guitar in this song 5/5!
my band could be supporting them on tour when they in u.k :-D
OK I'm not sure anyone would be able to pick that up, but there is definitely a difference between these guys and IDT.
I know what you mean, but i kind of like his voice in it, its not a copy of every other band.
My mate (well me considering I'm using his account) works with the Lead Guitarist Joe in a shoe shop in Reading. No shit.
Bloodlust is right; these guys sound nothing like it dies today.. The only real similarity is that they use the same kinds of instruments (guitar, bass, drums, etc =P)
Hope they get signed? Surely the fact that they have released this song and vid suggests they are?
Exit Ten are moving Upp !
epic tune, i reckon his voice is purely better cos its different, but if you check other songs on their debut there is more screaming if you really need it. on eof my favourite bands of like ever :) xx

sylvainfo u dnt now shit if u think these suck. love this band
That's the Great Rebellion tour, right? Grr im so jealous I live in America and they don't tour internationally yet.
Yeah, heaps of them. Check him out on youtube
I have a couple small speakers on my computer and I tried blasting the intro, it didn't work, so I went and bought a sub-woofer.
How the fuck are Exit Ten not signed yet. Andy Sneap produced there Mini Album and he's worked with Opeth and Killswitch Engage. This is easily there best song/
this is on the kerrang! new breed cd its really quite good
pretty badass
AHHHHHHHH!!!!! WHY AREN'T THEY ON ITUES???? o.o
3.48. EPIC.
his voice is a little off at the start but as it progresses, he seems to be in tune.
no way it would suck if they screamed more. Their hair is fine too, seeing as this isnt the 80s anymore. Ryan has a good voice and should use it. I hate when good singers shit up their vocal chords by screaming. they scream enough in their other songs (like softwatch). i wish this was the full song too :(
These guys rock!!!! better than bring me the horizon or those over hyped bands. great album too
The drop C tuning, some of the meloidic singing that Howard in KsE does sounds a lot like the way the dude in this band sings it. Even their video's shot similarly.
They're definately influenced by them. I've listened to their other stuff and they're not exactly a ripoff. Yeah they do have their own style.
