I just bought this game to get a little exercise with the family. So far just me and my son have played trying to just volley. It's gonna take lotsa practice, but i like it!
It may look slow, but when you reach a certain level it is anything but, takes great hand/eye cordination , and at the 4.0 to 5.0, its fast paced and intense, you will only know if you try
Shem Biebert Thanks for the reply. Now if all of the Pickleball videos on TH-cam would indicate where their games are being played, it would be helpful for all of those inquiring minds (like mine). I suppose they forget that the world is viewing them and it's not just for the locals to see. I have been playing for about three years now and I learn so much by watching these videos.
It's usually because they prefer playing one side or the other. If it is their turn to serve from the left but they prefer to play from the right, they will serve and then move over. Same applies in returns.
hi I walked by some people playing this game the other day in a sports hall in Donegal in Ireland........I whooped the people who were playing but i really enjoyed it.(mostly because i won),,,but I really enjoyed it,,,I am in my mid fifties..some of the guys I played were intheir twenties..I just think the harder you play the better the game is..but it really is fun...
Old video with tons of ignorant folks in the comments who only know that the pickleball doesn't travel as fast as a tennis ball. I wonder how many have started playing since then?
Listen people, pl. don't make assumptions on your perceptions of Pickleball. Seriously, go out and try it! With so many places to play the access you have is quite phenomenal. I'd like to see your input after you try it out. That's all! All this brouhaha based on no fist hand knowledge is w o r t h l e s s, get it?
Pickleball the sport for Millennials, where being 40 pounds overweight, living in your parents basement (forever) and a low attention span are a plus in this "sport".
Can't wait to play these types of teams in the upcoming year!!
Enrique Ruiz must be one of the top players in the USAPA. He is in the finals of most of the mens singles/doubles and mixed...he is also ambidextrous.

It's fun and easy to understand.

There is a vast array of rackets. Anyone know what they are using?
If ping pong is too small and tennis is too big...
PICKLEBALL!!!!
These pickleball videos are great to watch but inquiring minds need to know...Where is this game being played? City, State?
Good question. The game is played in all 50 states and overseas. In this video, it's at Nationals which was in Buckeye, Arizona

+Richard B. Maryland is where I play! I have friend in Florida that play and PA!
To a tennis player the server order look very confusing, I don't understand why the server partner doesn't play the other side?

These are the best teams in the nation? What am I missing, it seems so slow..?!
Is there prize money in this sport?
Justin Winn Justin,
No money but what you are missing is the strategy which you'll never understand because your'e not a player
That's a rather obtuse statment, but I like that kind of thinking... :) Are you a player, Mr. Reneau?
Gregory Reneau

These guys are real athletes? This pickle seems like a good game after a few beers. LOL. Play tennis guys!
This game looks like a combination of badminton, ping pong & tennis. These guys are not that good. Too many unforced errors.

This is too slow game to be internation "success"
Wtf, I play way more aggressive than these people.
The worst "sport"
