Guma is the next face of T1, he's got the longevity, the skills, the loyalty and the charisma needed to be "team leader" when Faker retires. They would be absolute fools to try to replace him. This is all just temporary.
Guma is a good player. but everyone has weaknesses and he is no exception. But i believe with Guma's personality he will definitely see this as an opportunity to become much better than he is now. He will soon be back and stronger than before
Hello, for those of you who didn't know, anti-fans who hate Gumayushi have been harassing Gumayushi through online maneuvers for the past few years, and the scale has been quite large. Even after Guma winning the Worlds twice, there have been calls from various platforms such as the online communities and TH-cam, asking for a release of Gumayushi. And today, Guma was replaced. So the Korean community exploded, and now people are divided into two groups. One group says 'T1 has never helped Gumayushi from anti-fans' harrassings and now they replace him with Smash, and it's really disappointing and disrespectful'. Another group says 'Competition is always harsh and stop treat players like idols, stop nagging because it's the manager's authority to replace players. I hope Caedral deals with this issue later maybe. It's a pretty big issue.
I think it’s simply a short term change based off the current meta. The meta is currently not that great for Guma considering that the main prio adc’s at the moment are Kalista, Varus, Ashe, Ezreal, Kai’sa and Corki. From what Rekkles mentionned, Smash is an insane Kalista player and like Guma he can play Ashe and Varus without an issue. In my opinion what justifies this swap is the fact that Smash plays Ezreal, Kai’sa and Corki. Guma doesn’t play any of them and if you look at his recent matches in solo queue you can see that he’s been practicing Ezreal a lot which isn’t something I ever saw him do. Obviously just my thought considering we have 0 clue what’s going on behind the scenes but it would make a lot of sense if that was to be the case.
Wow I’ve never read TH-cam comments but this is like peak reddit silver elo analysis. Guma is insane at every adc. You say you’ve never seen him play ez in soloq? It’s historically his second most played adc and the first is Kai’sa. Another adc you said he can’t play lol
T1 fans really making it big SKT fans are the more chill guys knowing faker and easyhoon was once like this XD. Easyhoon was playing in skt before because faker was a subpar azir player and azir was the meta pick. now i can say guma is a subpar ezreal and kaisa player and i see smash playing those kind of picks more we might also see smash on zeri
The thing is smash ez performance proves its not a player problem, the team as a whole cant play these poke comps thats why they still lost. Did you see the score on oner nid. Who carries that and you also cant prio jayce because faker cant play it. Its the team not guma's ezreal or zeri because just like smash he always gets fed most of these games but they always lose and they look lost with comps with no ingage. Faker used to be one of the best corki players, but he became the worst the patch they removed package because his team strength was using parkage for ingage. This team goes in... Its who they are so why take out the only adc in the world who you trained to stay deathless with no peal at all!!? It doesn't feel like a faker and easy, it feels more like a guma and teddy whereby they sub the better adc for the rookie. Guma carried them to worlds the previous yr and the one before when he defend elder solo on xayah just like when teddy carried them to lck finals 2021on ezreal. And they sub him out.
this aligns with his comments with his contract; about how it's written in a way that it makes him strive to improve or smth like that. what that means? idk
Also stop seeing this only from Guma perspective. Look from Smash perspective also. You have great young player. Of course you want him to develop by playing LCK level match instead of jailed in CL. LCK Cup happen to be the perfect place.
So there is 1 side that's angry about this not because of the fact that Gumayushi is subbed, but more about how T1 handled their announcement and changed their fan meet-up planning accordingly. Before it was scheduled to meet Doran/Oner/Faker/Gumayushi/Keria, now it was scheduled to meet the Top/Jungle/Mid/Carry Bot/Support that played on that day's match. Maybe you want to meet Gumayushi on that day so you spend your money, but T1 brings out Smash without any prior notification to the fan, which would mean you "wasted" your money without getting what you want. Personally, I don't care about who will show up at the match but I never pay to watch T1 in person so people might have a different opinion
I think it’s just the fearless format, guma really don’t have any gameplay problem but he does have champion pool problems and that’s a BIG problem in this format. I hope he comes back during the regular season tho.
I dont understand why people are blowing this out of proportion. T1 is loyal to ZOFGK (the Zeus stuff was unfortunate), KKoma's choice to bring Smash in could be to turn T1 into a 6 man roster. It also gives Guma time off to relax and give Smash time to develop in tier 1. It's a bonus considering Smash is very loyal to T1 so as long as other teams like KT, FearX, NS, teams that lack the bot line fire power etc dont try to take him away from T1, its not a problem.
@@abigairey9543 getting to and losing every finals in your first year together is different than the 3rd. There's a reason those players weren't resigned till after worlds.
I'm gotten to the point of simply laughing bc really, when can T1 fans ever catch a break 😂 just when we thought we could settle into a new rhythm with DOFGK, something has to happen, of course. Truly a circus 🎪🤡 Smash did amazing and he deserves this opportunity but it doesn't make it any easier to see Guma go through this, and more importantly the hate comments he's getting even more of now. He's given the team so much, i can't wait to see him back. Hope he really is taking this in his stride
@pannkaka5138 I see your point, but that was back when the game still wasn't mature enough. At that point they didn't know that Azir was busted. T1 be listening to idiots saying Guma doesn't have champool. We gonna forget that he played 10 different adcs against the strongest teams in EWC? It might not have been an official Riot event, but it doesn't take away from the teams that participated, and he showed up big
@pannkaka5138hard disagree, for starters there aren’t sister team situations like there was in 2015 where they had to consolidate 10 man rosters. IIRC it was a control mage meta and easyhoon was initially better at control mages and Faker on assassins, I don’t see how Guma’s champ pool is in question and the situation isn’t even remotely the same.
at the end of the day, winning is what matters in an organization. if this makes them win for the meantime, then 100% they should do it. this is no slight to guma, we all know he is an amazing player. sometimes there are just burn outs or meta read where you’re not compatible and that’s ok
They're just giving Guma time to grind Ezreal and Kaisa more, His Zeri is already decent and he's really trying in SoloQ. It's just that this meta favors the utility type ADC more or just AP in general. We all saw what happened to all those ADCs back in other games, it's always whatever happens both the enemy and ally ADC die before anyone do anything, and with Guma's preference in autoing it just doesn't fit with the meta.
Here's my 2 take : -guma under performed -he doesnt feel like it and discussed with the team -kkoma agreed to sub him -smash has been loyal to t1 for a long time ,he deserved it -smash proved his worth in the recent match ->guma got a vacation ->smash got chances to grow ->we might have a skt 2015 situation
I think Kkoma is testing Kai’sa and Ezreal as a potential pick and since Guma isn’t good at those, they subbed Smash in temporarily. Kinda evident with the recent activity of Guma in SoloQ, he’s grinding using Kai’sa and Ez a lot these days.
I love how Caedrel lists 3 possible problems, but not immediately "Health issues" which is the most common reason for a long term substitution 😂 Guma might just be stressed out AF.
Since people are concerning abt guma sub/benching situation, it would be great if faker advice guma how to deal with such situations. Still, i believe guma understood the situation and knows what to do next
Okay imagine it like this. Steph curry during the highest point of the stacked GSW roster leaves the team for a 1.5 pay increase with zero communication to teammates or fans, right after winning the championships. There would be fucking riots in the streets.
Smash and guma has such different playstyles. Smash is more spontaneous and aggressive. Guma is more calculating and safe. Guma already beat adc players with aggressive playstyles, but what smash showed last match was insane.
lol T1 must be looking for a reason to make Faker have an early retirement, they're doing it again like T1 2021 and which that was the hardest time for them to re-sign faker because of rotating roster 💀 DOFGK doesn't deserve this like wtf
Sad that this become big thing. Kkoma love to experiment and switch out his players. Don't forget that Gumayusi only could play 3 champs in last Worlds. So this is some way from Kkoma to refresh his team by turning it into 6-man roster again like what he did for Easyhoon-Faker, Bengi-Tom, Bengi-Blank, Wolf-Effort.
Could Guma only play three champs or could T1 only play comps that could use those three champs? Because EWC showed that Gumayusi could go fearless if he wanted, but I'm not sure T1 could follow. (This was also confirmed by the Ez game against KT. Smash was playing a decent Ez, T1 was simply doing a shit job at playing around Ezreal, so the issue was never only about Gumayusi's champ pool after all.)
I know Guma, based on historical feats, is the best adc in the world. But people need to chill out, he's the only adc that has won 2 time world champion, i doubt he would be subbed out forever
Lol semi-permanent literally makes no sense. It's either permanent or not permanent (which is definitely the case here). It could be short or long-term, but I wouldn't look too much into it. When T1 goes to Worlds this year in October, I guarantee Guma will be the starting ADC
Total bs, why not go back to a 10-man roster. Also it felt like Keria was in disapprobation of the move during the games. This feels like an ego move from Kkoma because the dude is strictly bringing nothing to the team and feels like he needs to do something.
yeah i figured it would be long term when they picked xayah in g3 like ive seen guma pop off xayah alot of times so why didnt he play there, if it was just to pick kaisa and ez

Doing that shit to a guy that survived the musical chairs roster is CRAZY tho, esp because the players themself said how mentally taxing it was and even faker said it was the toughest year to bear.
all this stupid ahh comment can't see the value of the upcoming events. the bigger the team is the more flexible they need to be, its not about getting substitute at this new event Kkoma's eye is starting again so why not experiment more its always Faker the one who's running this team at this point so they need more cogs to run this sh8 up more member more fun and they won worlds 5 times with Faker so why not. it's all about being flexible Kkoma knows about it
it doesn't matter if it's Faker/Easyhoon story all over again if Guma's the one holding back maybe Kkoma sees this so he needs to light the fire up again for Guma's entrance
I think Guma is also playing bad at scrims? So maybe they need to sub him out and Smash playing well in scrims, that's why they decided to start Smash instead of Guma.
He actually didn't XD They had problems with teddy and it was the musial chairs roster time = you played one game/series bad? yeah you're not playing the next one kinda thing
Damn zeus really fucked things up for everyone. Now team is falling apart and t1 no longer believes in loyalty. Idc what you say about “his agent is the one at fault!” Like dude sold his team for a paycheck. Hes the one who signed.
how is this Zeus' fault? T1 is a corporation and corps don't give a shit about loyalty nor are they loyal to you unless you profit them. If anything, this move on Gumayusi is a betrayal of his loyalty and shows that Zeus might be right.
Probably a money thing? If smash is as good as guma why not keep smash for 3x less of a salary and sell guma? There is no way its purely based on performance
Smash is really talented and carried the main team on his very first series there (he also got the series MVP which Caedrel didn't get to watch). I doubt T1 will replace Guma but maybe they want to get Smash as a sub permanently
Lets see. They replace a veteran with a rookie and don't drop a single % in performance, if u want to argue based off one series it looks like an increase in performance. So please explain why they are in shambles or is it just brain rot?

There was probably something going on during scrims or they really wanted to give Smash an opportunity bc he swore faith to T1 instead of going to another team just like Guma did.
+the nosebleed thing wasn't that serious and stopped that day. He goes to work out almost every day, so he probably isn't in bad health conditions
I'm a bit confused, it's not confirmed i guess but they just won worlds twice with Guma and went to 3 world finals in a row, absolutelly no one has ever done that except Bang, but Bang had a whole year AND was playing bad at his last worlds before leaving T1. Here, the split JUST started, 2 bo3's and "out" based on those 2 matches + scrims? What?? Am i msising something chat?
Coz of fearless draft I think. Guma champion pool isn't wide so I'm guessing they need him to grind Zeri, Kaisa, and Ezreal where Smash are good at. Same situation before to Faker Easyhoon Azir where Faker wasn't good at using Azir
@@Zeroichi010this, Guma is excellent at his Ashe, Varus, Caitlyn and Xayah, but you can definitely see how not playing ADs like Ezreal, Zeri, Kaisa etc might set him back further in fearless
It feels kind of like the perfect storm of factors. A meta that isn't super well suited for Guma, him underperforming a bit, it's essentially preseason, and Smash is a super strong prospect. I think if any of those weren't a thing this doesn't happen. I would be shocked if by the time the regular season starts Guma isn't back to starting.
Unless Smash does really well and Guma can’t keep up with him. It’ll become the Guma and Teddy situation
@@teemopanda02 Yeah, he should have practiced his Kai'sa, Zeri and Ezreal. He himself knew that, him not being able to play those champs quite competitively, is his only weakness. Especially with LCK Cup having a Fearless Draft format.
I like Smash but I would really love for Gumayusi to remain in the main roster. I love his Baron steals and the cockiness that he brings to T1.
It just sucks that we all know in esports, if a sub does well consistently, they're going to be part of the main roster sooner or later.
@@janthony5386 i mean, they could literally just run guma and smash... with fearless draft format, they might even go guma for game 1-2 then sub him out for game 2-3 or vice versa(depending on what's meta)... since he has a limited pool than other adc but plays really consistent with said champion... it goes as well that both of them doesn't have the same champion pool so this might work out
@@krystianaquino1575 Yeah that would be an amazing scenario but sadly I've never seen that being done before. Usually teams wants to have their main roster get as much playtime as possible.
It really is a battle of attrition between Smash and Gumayusi for the spot. Smash is a good kid and a great player but I hope Guma pulls through.
@@janthony5386He's already great at zeri. He's decent at Kaisa but he's not good at ezreal. But fyi, he went fearless draft during EWC, he played 3 of the mentioned champs and it went out great. So it's all about momentum
Dude played 2 games. Its a bit disrespectfull honestly. Dude never inted at a move away, always swore loyalty to T1. Hes a 2 time world champion, he had a crazy run from quarters to the finals. Smash was good but like... it was a weaker KT. This is still the guy that 2vs1 Ruler and 369 at a worlds semis.
"Damn, plenty of upset morons in the replys over an opinion" Iron 2 players coming in force.
loyalty doesn't win games cuh
go watch a traditional sport and see how little people cry about substitutions
don't worry, the way that Joe Marsh talks about Guma like he's the golden child of T1 tells me that Guma isn't going anywhere. If anything this is just Kkoma playing mad scientist again like he did when he was subbing people out left and right back in the day, including Faker himself. Guma is the next face of T1, he's got the longevity, the skills, the loyalty and the charisma needed to be "team leader" when Faker retires. They would be absolute fools to try to replace him. This is all just temporary.
@pannkaka5138 u think these clowns have ever watched/played actual sports? lol
They benched him cuz he can’t play ezreal kaisa. Big corps like T1 don’t care about loyalty - only care about winning and making money. Sad reality.
Crownie just needs to beat him in a 1v1 to secure his spot
Guma is a good player. but everyone has weaknesses and he is no exception. But i believe with Guma's personality he will definitely see this as an opportunity to become much better than he is now. He will soon be back and stronger than before

Hello, for those of you who didn't know, anti-fans who hate Gumayushi have been harassing Gumayushi through online maneuvers for the past few years,
and the scale has been quite large.
Korean Fan are Crazy😅
Bruh Corki is 0W-12L in the LCK now lol
I mean yeah I never said its good just what’s being picked xdd
Guma might be the best kaisa in the world ?
And his kalista is insane. It has nothing to do with champ pool. You cannot be a world champ and not play every meta adc
And they sub him out.
this aligns with his comments with his contract; about how it's written in a way that it makes him strive to improve or smth like that. what that means? idk
would assume its for winter to give smash a chance to prove himself or smth, if it was a permanent or big thing it would have been announced
Also stop seeing this only from Guma perspective. Look from Smash perspective also. You have great young player. Of course you want him to develop by playing LCK level match instead of jailed in CL. LCK Cup happen to be the perfect place.
its probably based on scrims too. After Zeus left, Guma need to stand up in games a lot more.
I hope he comes back during the regular season tho.
thankyou Crownie
Welcome Gumayusi
oh god its the typical T1 thing where things go wrong in the beginning of the year and then proceed to roll everyone during Worlds (hoping)
Were they loyal to "zofgk" before or after they won worlds?
@@colin5197 they ran it back after they lost every major competition... loyalty is a stupid world, is just usefulness
Truly a circus 🎪🤡
Smash did amazing and he deserves this opportunity but it doesn't make it any easier to see Guma go through this, and more importantly the hate comments he's getting even more of now. He's given the team so much, i can't wait to see him back. Hope he really is taking this in his stride
This better be bullshit. Guma is goated, and they would have never gotten 2 Worlds if he didn't show up when it mattered most.
Faker was subbed in 2015 learn how esports and sports work substitutions happen grow up
@pannkaka5138 I see your point, but that was back when the game still wasn't mature enough.
@@keyki9832substitutions still happen deal with it😂
@@TheRagheb95 so... you think they listened to some haters? so they dont have a brain? sorry, are you a lunatic?
at the end of the day, winning is what matters in an organization. if this makes them win for the meantime, then 100% they should do it. this is no slight to guma, we all know he is an amazing player. sometimes there are just burn outs or meta read where you’re not compatible and that’s ok
It was the same with Teddy. Nobody expected him to be subbed out because he was doing great but then he got permanently replaced by Guma Aware
This is like the Teddy and Guma situation
"we thought KT are lowbobs so we ran with academy ADC we are going to win anyway lol
damn, i knew guma being "sick" was an excuse. smash playing kai'sa and ezreal today confirmed it for me
I ain't worried.
GET READY TO LEARN JUNGLE, BUDDY
LR Gumayusi here we go
He is the best player in that team since 2021, he deserves a break
Lmao
King without a Crownie
Guma is literally the best player on T1, what is this?
Here's my 2 take :
-guma under performed
-he doesnt feel like it and discussed with the team
-kkoma agreed to sub him
-smash has been loyal to t1 for a long time ,he deserved it
-smash proved his worth in the recent match
->guma got a vacation
->smash got chances to grow
->we might have a skt 2015 situation
Guma: "i will take only one year contract extend cause i believe i can perform and achieve better result!"
Kk0ma: "And i took it personally."
Holy fuck I hope Gumarizzy is ok, i think it's a health problem
Idk but I'm all in on Smash no matter what team he's on, RAW potential is always fun to watch
Its a way to shoot up Smash market value to sell him and have Guma tryhard to get back to main roster
lol T1 must be looking for a reason to make Faker have an early retirement, they're doing it again like T1 2021 and which that was the hardest time for them to re-sign faker because of rotating roster 💀 DOFGK doesn't deserve this like wtf
bro but wtf is semi-permanent. It's either permanent or temporary there's no middle ground
T1 plays LR one time. Zeus leaves the team so he doesn’t have to lane against Baus. LR wins and the entire roster falls apart and retires.
Guma is sick
Could be personal reason too guys chill
Long term Sub? So that means Short term Top is a thing in Pro LoL now?
this truly is the T1 downfall
Total bs, why not go back to a 10-man roster.
Also it felt like Keria was in disapprobation of the move during the games.
This feels like an ego move from Kkoma because the dude is strictly bringing nothing to the team and feels like he needs to do something.
Kkookedma is on that Daeny Ego grindset right now.
yeah i figured it would be long term when they picked xayah in g3 like ive seen guma pop off xayah alot of times so why didnt he play there, if it was just to pick kaisa and ez
It's fearless draft tho, they already picked both those champs
@@Wind944 iirc u can sub out players mid series so i figured if it was just so they could play ez and kaisa on smash like was said, then why wouldnt guma play the xayah game
a lot of over reaction from fans i feel. their mental strength never really left grade school, so please excuse them.
my guess is he's taking a break. Probably entire LCK Cup depends on Smash performance
guma got champion pool check'd by DK 😢
Mfw i just want TheShy to replace Baus when he gets traded into LEC team.
Maybe he's just burnt out and T1 doesn't want to make a bug deal out of it?
From his message, he clrealy was suprised with the decision too.. Look at his soloq, hes been grinding the hardest of them all (also we can tell from the hours and shit that hes not scrimming with the team so its just another heartache) All i know is guma is a hard worker and he WILL prove himself.. Doing that shit to a guy that survived the musical chairs roster is CRAZY tho, esp because the players themself said how mentally taxing it was and even faker said it was the toughest year to bear.
Guma punished for bad jungle against lr
Fans are honestly blind they think guma is perfect when a player is underperforming it is in coaches and team best interests to test other options
omg is he pregnant?
all this stupid ahh comment can't see the value of the upcoming events.
the bigger the team is the more flexible they need to be, its not about getting substitute at this new event Kkoma's eye is starting again so why not experiment more its always Faker the one who's running this team at this point so they need more cogs to run this sh8 up more member more fun and they won worlds 5 times with Faker so why not. it's all about being flexible Kkoma knows about it
it doesn't matter if it's Faker/Easyhoon story all over again if Guma's the one holding back maybe Kkoma sees this so he needs to light the fire up again for Guma's entrance
guma role swap to sup? xdd
I think Guma is also playing bad at scrims? So maybe they need to sub him out and Smash playing well in scrims, that's why they decided to start Smash instead of Guma.
Guma took Teddy's spot the same way so
He actually didn't XD They had problems with teddy and it was the musial chairs roster time = you played one game/series bad? yeah you're not playing the next one kinda thing
