      @@TheRipeTomatoFarms The first one I did I tried putting it in soil after it started sprouting and it stopped growing. So I just started leaving them all in water changing it out every few days and they're thriving.

    I'm in zone 7b and have a difficult time sprouting lettuce, it drives me crazy! I'm thinking I'm not covering them enough now after watching your video. I'm gonna try it your way and see what happens, thank you for the time you take in making these videos. I do enjoy watching them 😊

      Ha ha hey Donna. It's not always easy!! Definitely though, you want to create that moist, warm (ish) environment that's stable... Perfect germinating conditions... Try curly green leaf lettuce first.. It sprouts like crazy.. The work up to the others like reds and spring mixes. You got this!

    That was interesting. Other gardening videos I've watched show that lettuce seeds shouldn't be covered because the seeds need the sunlight in order to germinate. But, you covered your seeds with soil and mulch. Does that mean either way works?

    • @TheRipeTomatoFarms
      @TheRipeTomatoFarms  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I've never seen a seed that needed light to sprout. These guys popped up through an inch of top soil and another inch of mulch.... I'd say they don't need light! :)
