HELP! 2:21 That drop to, MANUAL TO PIVOT TO FAKIE MANUAL ,to fakie flip??? I can manual and I can fakie manual, but the pivot eludes me. Anyone know any tips to help a brother out? Here's what I know so far, Lead the pivot with your shoulders. ...that's about all I know. I had already looked for tips on you-tube a while ago with no luck, so I kinda gave up on searching for tips, but I was just reminded of how much I wanna learn'em.
It's a tricky one cause the pivot actually slides on the ground, its not so much about the shoulders but more about pushing your back wheels out infront of you like a two wheel powerslide to fakie and then readjusting your upper body to keep your balance on the fakie manny. Backside you gotta scrape the pivot behind you with more weight on your toes, and frontside you open up your shoulders and push your back wheels in front of you with more weight on your heels making sure your tail dont scrape. Practice doing two wheel powerslides to fakie on flatground, same motion as a bluntslide to fakie on a ledge and work from there. Hope that helps!

I can do them, you def need to throw your lead shoulder, if you dont you basicly cant hold the manual after the pivot, its tricky too explain but i found its the pressure on your tail foot, you need to be light on the tail as you pivot then apply pressure again to find your balance which is the hardest part, I practiced heaps just rolling on a slick surface. And yup youll def have to keep to you toe pocket thats crucial, but to be honest homeboy explained it pretty much spot on, and if you can do them from a flat manny theres no reason you cant do this on a pad.

Like I also mentioned in my second comment, I was already really close at the time I made said comment, and was only having trouble scrapping my tail after the pivot was complete(something I probably should have articulated in the first place) Which was remedied with the, "foot in pocket, perpendicular with hanger" tip. @@wheelsrr it's the illusion blunt instead of going proper backside they ollie over and on top of the obstacle, lots of cats do it, but its basically a tweaked fronside noseslide, also if you were trying to correct me with "blunt, it would be "backside noseblunt" but know already it aint that, sorry for getting technical its just a pet peeve, plus proper backside noseblunts are too nice to do em dirty with this fs noseslide tweak game.

Backside you gotta scrape the pivot behind you with more weight on your toes, and frontside you open up your shoulders and push your back wheels in front of you with more weight on your heels making sure your tail dont scrape. Practice doing two wheel powerslides to fakie on flatground, same motion as a bluntslide to fakie on a ledge and work from there. Hope that helps!
