I’m new to war gaming. With my interest in the American Revolution I started with Compass Games Revolution Road (Great game) and GMT’s BOAR series (Incredible), then started buying a few volumes in the GBACW, learning a more complex system. Loving it and currently collecting the volumes in this series. Preordering this and Hoplite and Chariot on P500! Can’t wait to get this series on the table
The Tyrant module, covering the long war between Carthage and the Greeks of Syracuse, is particularly interesting, and a great way into the system for those unfamiliar with it. The battles aren't too big, have an interesting range of units and are well balanced.
Rough I think you do the best unboxing video on TH-cam. Would like to see you do a solo play of Alexander, really motivates me to learn the gameplay. Cheers mate 👍🏼
Well worth the wait Rough. I am very glad they moved the missile combat chart in with the shock charts. I am playing SPQR and its on a separate player aid and is really kind of annoying. You did remind me to get on the P500 for Hoplite and Chariots of Fire. Thank you for the unboxing Rough but fortunately I have had this ordered for almost a month just waiting for it to arrive. As a new player I definitely agree these deluxe versions are a lot of bang for your buck and worth it over paying outrageous prices for these modules and such singularly from ebay.
I am waiting on the pre-order to arrive where I ordered it from. Looking forward to this one Chuck. I have SPQR deluxe on the table now and Great Battles of Julius Caesar waiting after that. The system is quite straightforward and easy to pick up. I recommend them if you like that period of history.

Thanks for the comment - I was thinking the same. 👍

Excellent unboxing, not sure if I will purchase as have lots of GBOH games, but Monday might not be able to resist if any are left. Many thanks.
Thank you! 👍
Great unboxing rough. Thanks for reminding me to get my Hoplite and Chariots of Fire P500 order in. Avid viewer!
I did the same thing 😂 preordered both
Looks good. Very tempting.

Thank you!
A monster of collection.
Certainly is!
so we have 19 or 30 battels?
Yes - 19 from the original printing and 10 from the included Tyrant module. Hope that helps. 👍
Nice rough
